He offered little in the way of new or useful information, which left me wondering why I was even referred to him to begin with. So while the advisory side of this wasn't exactly helpful, his bedside manner really seems to fit his age. I don't mean to say that he has a caring or paternal grandfatherly way about him. No, more a judgemental, set-in-his-ways sort of attitude. The experience left me thinking that since Dr. Potter apparently wishes to expand into area of counseling or being a life coach, he should find a new space in which to practice. Patients going to him aren't being referred because of his views on social norms, marriage, or relationships. That being said, if you're looking for unsolicited, condescending commentary to go along with your appointment, this is your doctor!

I might be pushing it with five stars but he definitely cared about the health of my baby. And for that I am forever grateful.. he is very straightforward and is not going to say things just to make you happy. He is going to give your the real deal truth with no smiles. Hes kinda scary but his knowledge is phenomenal... I used to feel like I had a meeting with the principal when we would discuss my the details on my unborn baby . && that’s because I was afraid Of the news he was going to deliver references the health of my baby since he was my specialist dr, I never knew if the news would be good or bad. But I knew me and my baby were in good hands. && I knew he cared more about the health of my baby than my feelings. I love Dr. Potter and his staff. If you are looking for a Doctor who is interested in the total care of your baby(your health, as well as the babies) he is it. Very old school and is concerned with making sure your informed every step of the way. I was counseled each visit by him or one of his designated staff members. I would highly recommend Dr Potter, and the practice overall. All the staff were great! The ultrasound tech did an exceptionally good job. She was very skilled and also very nice. Dr. Potter was very informative and I sense that he is vary skilled and knowledgeable. I really felt like I was in good hand under his care. He struck me as the type that is always direct and to the point. I don't mean that he is unfriendly by any means, but I can imagine some might sense that about him... I think anyone who might have reservations based on that impression would do themselves a favor by considering his skill and experience and the level of care he provides. I want to say his rudeness has nothing to do with his care as being a dr. He has a job to do and if you disagree with his harsh responce that has noting to do with his job go find a pansy that cares for your feelings instead of your health and your unborn childs health. Constructive criticism could save your baby.

Who tells a 40yr old 8 months pregnant woman to stop whining? Dr. Potter. He asked how I was feeling. You'd think you're doctor, especially a specialist, that you are supposed to tell your symptoms... I answered, "other than the plantars fasciitis, back pain, and major reflux, I'm fine." And that was all I said. then he went into how he's heard whining pregnant women for so many years. He might have tried to make up for what he said later in that visit, but at that point I was so bothered by him that I couldn't hear anything else! Very unprofessional! He was very unprofessional, rude and to me, discriminating!! He did not take the time to listen as I was a high risk pregnancy carrier ( 2nd Time) at the time. During my last trimester he told me why don’t I find another doctor!! Spoke very harsh to me and not sensitive at all! Every visit was not normal and neither were my numbers. After delivery, I had heart failure, due to untreated BP which should have been addressed. Perhaps it time for him to retire!!! He was very unprofessional, rude and to me, discriminating!! Had the "pleasure" of meeting him at Maternal Fetal Diagnostics Center, which is his practice. I was accompanied by my boyfriend and we had just found out the gender of our first baby and were excited. That all changed when we went to talk to the doctor. He was very unamused with us from the start. Very cold and rude man. We're a young, interracial couple (we will be 22 and 23 by the time the baby is born, for the record). He asked where the ring was and then proceeded to give us a speech and told my boyfriend that since we aren't married..our baby would be an orphan and that he would legally have to adopt his own kid in the state of Georgia. "ORPHAN" and "ADOPT"?!!? Are you kidding me? That's COMPLETELY false. We know about the papers he has to sign and they are NOT adoption papers. Really ruined our day and my boyfriend will probably not want to go with me to any doctor appointments now. Definitely see one of the other doctors at his practice. I love Dr. Potter and Daisy they are truly here for the cause and care of the patients....All of my appointments have always been awesome! The ladies are sweet as pie and stride with professionalism....I truly love my new family!!!!

Dr. Potter is amazing.My dd wouldn't be here w/o him. I was an impossible pregnancy due to weight & he held me together. He is a realist & honest to the core. Heck he even told my now husband that we should get married. I joke & tell ppl we only got married because of Dr. Potter. But that aside from an old fashion soul he means the absolute best for your well being & baby.You may hear it as rude bc in this world now we're use to hearing sugar coating & pampering feelings but I'll take him anyday

Dr. Potter was extremely rude to this first time mother and very unprofessional. He cursed while providing an overly elementary (non-medical) explanation of ultrasound findings. I will not go back there again. I refuse. OB will have to refer me to another practice. Also, there was a 2 hour wait in a cramped area. Ridiculous.

Dr. Potter: 5-star Billing Department: 1-star Dr Potter is awesome. Very senior, thorough in consulting with patient and is jolly person. We have high regards for him. Our OBGYN during pregnancy, Dr. Kalpana Raghavan used to send us to him for ultrasound. We have had issues with the billing department (Pediatrix Medical Group) though. Our last ultrasound bill looked very high (almost double the previous ones). So we requested for detailed medical records of the visit so that we can verify with our OBGYN. But they never sent us the details. They mailed us the same bill twice in 2 years with no medical records. And then handed it over to a collection agency now! Philip Potter is a hero in my book. After five miscarriages, Dr. Potter was able to correctly diagnose my situation which has allowed me to have two precious little boys.

This doctor cares. He is only truthful and maybe even rude to patients that aren't trying to take care of their bodies especially while pregnant. His concern is the child that's growing. I appreciate doctor potter assisting me all through my pregnancy and with my blood sugars and control of my sugars. It took discipline and it was all me. If it wasn't for him guiding me then my child probably wouldn't have been a healthy bundle of joy.

Great staff, friendly and very through with my babys developmet.....

Dr Potter is extremely rude and judgemental. I would never recommend him to my worst enemy. He is completely unprofessional and I don't believe he hasn't had any malpractice lawsuits. I do not trust him or his opinions and I will be changing hospitals so that there's no chance of him delivering me. The hospitals and practice will be losing business over this one man.

The day before I saw Drpotter another specialist told me that I would miscarry but he could just do my abortion that day. He was so rough and rude. I went to Dr Potter, he told me textbook wise I would not have this baby but he asked me if I believed in God and he told me to pray. He gave me scriptures to read and told me remain on strict bed rest. I now have a beautiful, fun loving, God fearing 12 year boy. I thank Dr Potter for his wonderful care and beautiful spirit.
