Dr. Silverstein is a very professional, thorough, hard-working, patient oriented and considerate Doctor. There is a very genuine and sincerity in his eyes. He is the only Doctor I have ever met in my 53 years, that treats the whole person not just the incident. He worked feverishly to accommodate my situation. He put a great effort into making sure I was going to get the best possible understanding of what was wrong. Realizing that Memorial Hospital was not going to be able to accommodate me, due to my size, he arranged for transportation to a facility that would better fit my needs. He explained thoroughly the situation and what the overall goals were. Unfortunately after his shift was over and I was admitted to Memorial to await my transportation, I was poached by DR. Peter Wong. He approached me after being up almost 24 hour in pain and after several doses of morphine, strongly and persistently suggested he be allowed to perform exploratory surgery.
