Dr. Phyllis Chang

I saw Dr. Chang at Mercy Hospital for emergency surgery on my hand when I fell and sliced open my wrist in December 2009. I ended up severing 3 tendons and a nerve in the fall. I saw her for several follow up appts in the following weeks, months and year checking in on my healing. With her fantastic surgery and referral to a great PT, I have full function (well, maybe like 99% but the things I can’t do aren’t important) of my hand and a scar that healed beautifully, flat, light in color, and is barely noticeable. Dr. Chang is an excellent hand surgeon and a nice lady. Definitely convenient that she’s a plastic surgeon too.

What a wonderful doctor! She has an amazing bedside manner. I would recommend her to others. She cares about her patients - that is very evident! I had surgery due to infection and she completely took care of me!

Was referred to her by another plastic surgeon that refused me after my consultation when I had a change in insurance and they couldn't get me in soon enough. Dr. Chang got me in quickly for a consultation and surgery before my change. She was very thorough in her consultation. Wait time in her office was always next to nothing. Very informative with insurance procedures and billing. Would definitely recommend her to others and call her for any of my cosmetic procedures.
