Pleas Geyer

This psychiatrist is so antiquated and rude. He has made my mental health a lot worse. I told him I was experiencing suicidal thoughts and completely ignored me.

Had inpatient when I was 14 yrs old due to family issues I recently tried to get a gun permit and this racist individual put all types of lies in my profile hindering me from getting a permit I'm getting a lawyer to see if I can sue for slander and deformation of character

Dr. Geyer is a very closed minded MD, who thinks that his antiquated approach is always Right. I would not recommend him to anyone!

I took my son to Dr Geyer for medication management for Autism and ADHD. He was very biased and prejudiced. He refuted my son’s diagnoses (confirmed by several physicians) without any testing at all. He was supposed to be an autism specialist but apparently has a very limited view of this condition. He wanted to tell me all about his education and credentials in an effort to convince me that he was right. My son did not like him at all and asked not to go back. Dr. Geyer has been my psychiatrist for years and I couldn’t be happier. He can say things that you don’t want to hear but he does it for the right reasons. He showed me sides of my issue that I didn’t even think of before while also helping me fix my problems head on. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Geyer may have saved my son’s life. After spending years with another doctor and getting no results my son was hospitalized and his current doctor washed her hands of him. I’d been trying to get an appointment with Dr. Geyer and was lucky enough to get one the week after this happened. Not only was the other doctor not treating the problem, she had severely overdosed him on 4 medications he did not need. Four medications that were slowly making him crazy. A month after our first visit, my son had improved drastically. Today, three years later, my son is a very normal function teenage boy who has an amazing amount of respect for the man who listened enough to treat the problem and not just the outward symptoms. I don’t understand how anyone could give this doctor a negative review. He is a gift to me and my family.

We had our adolescent non verbal autistic son with violent behaviors seen by Dr. Geyer. We were on the verge of having our son committed for his safety and ours. Through low dose medication and behavior modification our son is doing fantastic. Dr. Geyer gave us the exact help we needed and also explained the reasoning for the behaviors our son was having. This was our experience which is a complete opposite from the other negative review

Dr Geyer is probably the worse physician we have ever encountered. I would give him zero for rating if it was possible. He never once interviewed our mentally handicapped daughter with new onset of psychosis. He said she was faking it and it was make believe. She also has retractable epilepsy with long history of taking antidepressants, which he stated that someone with mental retardation cannot have depression. He took her off the antidepressant, dismissed her psychosis only to land her in a locked psych ward. I wouldn't let him treat my dog. His negligence is beyond reproof. He never once interviewed our mentally handicapped daughter with new onset of psychosis. He said she was faking it and it was make believe. In the 2 hrs. that my son and I were there, Dr. Geyer asked my son 1 question: "Do you like school?" He sought to incite me, and tried to make my school district look like idiots. He focused on my son's academics, regardless of the fact that my son has had 3 valid IQ tests stating he has an intellectual disability. He refused to focus on the reason that the pediatrician had referred my son: hallucinations. He told me not to come back until I had school records in hand! He spent 30 min with us.

Dr. Geyer dismissed not only what we as parents had to say, but also our neuro-psychologists report and suggestions, and the other mental health professionals we had seen thus far. Due to his negligible attitude about over diagnosis, he removed helpful medications and has caused turmoil and instability due to this lack of forethought and out dated approach. We have had no issues with Dr. Geyer and if we are ever late, we call ahead to let them know and they are very flexible. Dr. Geyer is great with my son and we enjoy our visits.

Dr. Geyer is easy to talk to and insightful. He has been understanding and patient with the time I needed to open up and become receptive to his guidance. I've come to appreciate his focus on my developing tools to help me better take on the world outside of his office. He has helped me to reevaluate the way that I think and the belief that I can make things better for myself.

Very knowledgeable in his field and works well with my child. Answers all my questions and discusses my child's issues with me to work on the best solution for our family.
