I had my wisdom teeth removed at Sharma Oral Surgery. Dr. Sharma and the team are very friendly and answered any questions I had. They made sure to explain everything to me every step of the way. Was skeptical that my dental experience would live up to all the glowing reviews. In fact it was indeed surpassed. Honestly, I do not think I can do justice to Dr. Sharma’s practice. The expertise, professionalism, the run like a clock, the follow-up, the entire positive and friendly staff are over the top. To consider that you are going to an oral surgeon does not automatically bring easing thoughts, but at Dr. Sharma’s office you are immediately put to ease and it does not stop. Every detail is explained in a calm precise manner, and it shows in everything they do. Dr. Sharma’s bedside manner is more than calming as he carefully goes to extra efforts to make sure you are comfortable, educated, and put to ease. Then, when you are in all finished with the surgery, you get a quart of ice cream. What could be a better excuse to have ice cream!!!

Dentist or Scammer? My wife went there to get 4 wisdom teeth extracted. Beautiful office space and the doctor was Cordial and friendly. Things changed however when their insurance person gave an estimate. Insurance coordinator did NOT want to submit a predetermination to the insurance and tried forcing my wife to pay a deposit and schedule surgery. Thankfully my wife said she needed to review this with the insurance before paying any deposit. We insisted to send a dental predetermination and were shocked that the out of pocket would be closer to 2.5k since several of their line items were above max allowed rates (keep in mind, we have one of the best dental insurance plans) and several line items were medically not needed so not covered. This was a red flag, so we decided to research on other good dentists. We found several others and all of them were in the similar range from 300-500 out of pocket. We went with an honest practice (Dr.Marashi). No fancy office but great service. They did all the dental prework before the consultation and total out of pocket was 350. Consultation, surgery all done on the same day under 2 hours. It's so unfortunate that the Government does not regulate these scammers like Sharma dental practice. Doctor is a nice guy but he needs to setup a honest billing system. Imagine the difference in price for the same procedure. (350 Vs 2500). If you want a fancy office, fancy insurance department and want to pay through your nose, then Sharma is your guy. if you want to find an honest practice, research and look elsewhere.

I came to this office with the intent of them removing my wisdom teeth...after a consult appointment it was brought to my attention they were not in network and i needed to go elsewhere. I did-and boy do i regret it. The place i went had terrible customer service...from bad bedside manner to not answering phone calls. They removed my teeth and I’ve had numerous issues since. Couldn’t get seen by them so decided to just come back and see Dr.Sharma. The office i went to knew i was in pain and was willing to put off me being seen for FOUR days. I called Dr.Sharmas office and they had me in five hours later. The ladies at the front desk answer the calls after one ring, are SO nice and pleasant. The tech that helped me with the follow up couldn’t have been any nicer. Dr.Sharma greeted me with a smile and took a look at my incisions and the work of ANOTHER Dr because i was hurting. Amazing doctor ... I am not typically someone who enjoys going to the dentist/surgeon, but Dr. Sharma has a wonderful bedside manner. Although I do not look forward to the future work I need, I know he will do an amazing job, and manage my pain / recovery effectively.

I higly recommend Dr. Sharma. I was 45 when I got my wisdom teeth out and I had been putting it off for years. His approach is very calming and I loved that I was only in the operating froom for about 10 minutes before I was out. Next thing i know it's over and my wife is walking me to the car. Also, I asked to get all 4 teeth out but he said there was no medical reason to do so. This place is the best for all your dental fears in any form or shape to LET GO! I am so scared to see a dentist let alone -get my tooth pulled out! But this visit of mine to Dr Sharma's office changed it all! He has the best staff and they all know how to ease a person and have the problems pulled out with the least of pain- injury or any sort of distress. It's the lala land for all your toothy issues! I am still in awe even after 2 weeks after my wisdom tooth extraction. One week prior to my surgery I went in to meet Dr Sharma- the man behind the magical experience. Got my dental x-ray taken- it was so much fun- felt like being on a - merry -go around. Then you meet the doctor-He is such a down to earth person. Like literally he sits besides you ( mind me! All COVID 19- precautionary measures followed to the T). He is just sitting face to face and ready to answer any and every questions. From medical history to drug allergy or latex allergy. Spot on! That's Dr Sharma. Ms Emily and Ms Christy all were helpful with scheduling and informing the Do's and Dont's of the procedure. What a breeze! All we had to do was follow the steps as 1-2-3! Cut to a week later on the day of my surgery. We came in and my nurses for the day was Ms Emilia and Ms Lisa. I was escorted to the designated room. A neat clean room all set up for your trip to lala land. They check your vitals and get you set up. Dr Sharma explains each step and by the time you know. It's done and dusted! I was in and out on 15 mins. They escorted me to the waiting bay. My husband was instructed about the after care. Ms Anna was my post OP surgical nurse and she was one of the best person I could ask for. They were all so caring and PATIENT till I was seated in my car. It takes lot of care and dedication to do it everyday and patient after patient. They were the best ladies I could ask for the surgery that day! Financial Assistance- As we had newly moved to Charlotte - this procedure ( with IV sedation) was to be paid from my own pocket. I was in a fix and thankfully Ms Tanya from finance helped me with that as well. Dr Sharma's office has financial assistance plan that helped us jump that hurdle too! Like all we did was tell them our plan and mode of payment and they help you out to the best of the possibility. Today I finished my post OP checkup and everything looks nice and healthy. I struggle with extreme anxiety and have always had terrible experiences with Dental professionals. While there was no way I was going to be completely comfortable, Dr.Sharma and his staff were extremely accommodating to my strong, Type A, personality and I went into surgery confident that all would be well. I had 6 teeth removed including 2 impacted wisdom teeth and I could not be happier with the results. I know all bodies heal differently, but I have had more pain following a cavity treatment than I've experienced with this recovery. (Have not taken pain medication other than ibuprofen, and followed Dr.Sharma's instructions to the letter.- do yourself a favor and follow the post op rules!) The office side of my experience was also incredible. I called many times, before and after my surgery, with questions and at no point did anyone seem frustrated/annoyed with me. This is very unusual as I am a pain in the bum and have been treated less than kindly before by medical office professionals because of my excessive questioning. I worked with Tanya on the billing, and BLESS THIS WOMAN! Before the surgery she laid out payment options so everything was very easy to understand. In October 2020 I went to Dr. Sharma to address an infected tooth . While I was nervous and concerned the manner in which he and his staff treated me made me very comfortable and confident that I was in good hands. The tooth had to be extracted and eventually an implant Inserted in its place. The office is a equipped with state of the art technology and diagnostic equipment that offers them the ability to be more precise in their assessment and treatment. The process from beginning to end was a five month endeavor but that was only because they went to great length to ensure that I was completely healed at every phase of the process. There was no cutting corners and they were generally interested in providing the best care and experience for me as their patient. I have never experienced sooo much excruciating pain while having a tooth extracted. I’m 46 and have experienced extractions my entire life. I nearly jumped out of the chair while my tooth was getting extracted! I left the office literally shaking. I was told that they were unable to file a claim due to my insurance policy stating it would be 7/1 until they were able to file the claim which was suspicious. They stated that the service price was $577.00 for an extraction and I had 3 choices, pay the full price, increments of $185.00 or a payment plan of $46.00. I agreed to the 185.00 for 3 months which would be for April, May & June which would leave me paying the entire amount by 7/1 , which is the date that they stated they will be able to file a claim with my insurance , which I knew this was fraud! I contacted my insurance company and they stated that they had submit an appeal with Dr.Shama office. The claim codes that were submitted was not for the services that was rendered. My insurance paid $385.00! My deductible was $50.00 and my coinsurance was $118.00 ! Explanation of Benefits was stated that my responsibility was $168.00 meaning I overpaid by $18.00! I contacted the office to make them aware of what was stated by my insurance company but they were @ lunch so I left a message. They did not return my phone call so I call the next day. They stated that yes they did owe me that money (ironically).They warned me that my insurance may contact them for a refund and I would be subject to pay my part of the refund. Working in Benefit Accounts I have never heard of such a thing. I must say this is a very modern day mansion dental clinic and if you are not careful you will be paying for the Beauty & expenses of the interior of this place. However I was not provided with a toothbrush or toothpaste but was offered ice cream @ the end of service. Dr Carolyn Crowley which was my dentist @ the time referred me to Dr. Sharma due to her not providing this type of service due to covid-19.... is no longer my dentist! My experience with Dr. Sharma was uneventful, on point and he was amazing. The staff was also excellent, professional and kind. I had a great experience and would recommend his services 100%.

Painful but could not be avoided. Dr. Sharma did everything he could to ease the pain during surgery (I chose local anesthesia) . Once surgery was over, the results have been very good.

I literally took ibuprofen one time in the days following the surgery. The staff is great and they handled everything very well during the pandemic.

I've met a lot of doctors & Dr. Sharma is one of Charlotte's best oral surgeons by any measure. The office is clean, modern and inviting. This place redefines what a visit to the oral surgeon should be like. This was more like a spa that happened to have dental chairs and pull teeth. I was wondering when the surgery would start and they told me it was over already! Oh and the swag I got after my surgery was awesome. It sucks to have to need oral surgery, but Dr. Sharma is the best at what he does and that makes the dental work process much more civil!! I recently had surgery with Dr Sharma and they did an incredible job! Dr Sharma made me feel so comfortable before and after my surgery; the assistant daisy was very nice and informative of how I needed to care for myself after! My 16 year old daughter had her wisdom teeth out a few weeks ago. It was a really great experience--the staff was super friendly and helpful and Dr Sharma was amazing at making my daughter feel relaxed and comfortable. I had an amazing experience at Dr. Sharma’s office. The staff there made me feel at ease and comfortable, as I was nervous about getting my wisdom teeth removed. I was referred to Dr Sharma in an emergency situation from my regular dentist and they were able to work me in the very next day. There are NOT enough words to describe the dedication and care you are provided from the minute you walk in the door.......from the receptionists, insurance/billing, X-ray techs, surgical assistants — all took their time to explain the entire process to ensure you were well informed and comfortable.
