Dr. Hooper is extremely knowledgeable, kind hearted, compassionate, and listened to my needs. After 4 surgeries with the same doctor in Battle Creek I had lost all confidence in hand surgeons until I met Dr. Hooper She has not only restored my faith in the medical field but has also restored my faith in the process and outcome of surgeries. You don't meet people like her everyday and certainly don't meet a doctor with her skills sometimes in a lifetime.

She did surgery on my hand. This was a re do from a different doctor 13yrs ago. Wow, what a great job. I would see her again.

I had never had any surgeries before so I was really nervous; Dr. Hooper explained everything so thoroughly and put me at ease! After surgery she called personally to check in and make sure things were going well with recovery. Dr. Hooper was fast to respond through MyChart with any questions or concerns I did have! Highly recommend her and her professionalism and being so personable!

Dr. Rachel is an incredible plastic surgeon. I was under her care for about a month and she took great care with the wound to my hand from the initial visit and ensured me that she would see it through until it was completely healed. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Hooper. I had carpal tunnel surgery in February. Prior to the surgery, while in her office, Dr. Hooper explained everything in detail. She again explained every detail just prior to the surgery. She is very professional, but yet personable and warm. Prior to meeting Dr. Hooper, I did not wish to have surgery, but I felt so comfortable with her that I decided to have the surgery. I can now sleep at night and the cut healed so well, it's difficult to see. Dr. Hooper is the best, and I highly recommend her for hand surgery.

I had surgery in February and Dr. Hooper was part of my medical team. Dr. Hooper is a wonderful doctor. She explained her part of my surgery during my first visit and again on the day of my surgery. The receptionist was very courteous and patient. I had the same nurse every time I visited Dr Hooper she was very kind and personable made the visit much more pleasant. Dr. Hooper, what can you say, she in very professional, informative yet the most personable, with a great deal of compassion for her profession and her patient. She not only came to see me prior to my surgery she called me the night before to encourage me and see if I had any questions or concerns. She also called me the day after surgery to see how things were going and if I had questions or concerns. Every visit she tells you what to expect next with great detail. Dr. Hooper preformed reconstruction surgery on my left hand. She did a fantastic job and I am very thankful to have her as my doctor. Dr hooper is probably the most polite, courteous, kind, patient doctor I have ever met. Even if my surgery had not gone as well as she would have liked I would still count it as a honor to have met her.

I would recommend Dr. Hooper with no problem. She is a wonderful doctor. Had some minor surgery and she did a great job. Very kind with lots of patience. I just can't say enough about her. She is GREAT.

Do not recommend. Dr was clear she didn’t want to do surgery and never even looked at the patient. Very dismissive towards patient. While we were getting discharged she had her coat on and was ready to go.

My injury was devastating to say the least! You don't realize how much you use your hands until you can't use them. Doctor Hooper asked me what my recovery goals were and explained my injury and treatment options in detail. She was extremely professional and I was comforted by her genuine eagerness to help me regain the function of my hand. She was able to complete my surgery the next day. The day of surgery, my nervousness subsided as she greeted me as a friend. She personally called me the next morning to check on me. During the following weeks, Doctor Hooper kept me well informed as to what I should be expecting during my recovery. She has closely monitored my progress with my occupational therapist and I am happy to report that, although I am still healing, I have regained the function of my hand. I went to Dr. Hooper because I had two fingers that were triggering, one on each hand. She diagnosed me and told me there was a procedure she could do to help me bend my fingers and stop the pain. I agreed to the procedure. I asked her to do both fingers at the same time. She let me know that normally she didn't do both procedures together, but as I wanted it done that way and would follow her instructions, she agreed. I was able to get them done and I am glad both were done together. I followed her instructions with some restrictions and I was able to do some of the things I needed to do with some restrictions. I followed her orders and I am very happy with the outcome. She explained what she was doing and I felt comfortable with her. I will gladly return to her again if this ever happens again.

I have had carpal tunnel for years, and I’ve been pushing off surgery for years as well. Until I met Dr. Hooper she literally changed my life. I had surgery done on both hands at different times and my results are extraordinary. I can finally sleep at night and for the first time in a very long time I am able to have dreams again because I’m able to sleep. I am grateful to Dr. Hooper for improving the functions in both my hands. This really changed my every day today life. This was my 1st visit to Dr. Hooper. If I could give 10,000 stars I would. She was absolutely wonderful, and adorable. We live in a microwavable world, everything is fast-paced. Sometimes Dr.'s hear, but don't listen. I was so comfortable with Dr. Hooper, she heard and listened. Answered every question, and explained my procedure step by step. When you can combine personal touches and patient care that is an outstanding quality. You can tell her demeanor is one of warmness, and it's important for her to build a rapport with patients. The nurse who took my vitals, and information was equally pleasant and a joy. She and Dr. Hooper are a sweet team. If you're looking for a great Dr. stop! You've found her. Dr.Hooper was very welcoming and calming upon my first consultation. She explained my options and my procedure to me in a manner that I felt comfortable and I could understand . On my surgery day I was greeted by Dr Hooper who once again made me feel like a friend I already knew. She is very intelligent and made sure I was comfortable and as pain free as possible with the staff .This procedure I was terrified and so worried about she and her staff made it a breeze. Dr Hooper Also checked on me the next day on a Saturday .Follow up visit was very reassuring and positive as well. I am very happy with my results and I encourage anyone to see Dr Hooper for any Medically necessary reconstructive surgery .She was absolutely Great and I am glad to have had her as My Surgeon .

I had a right carpal tunnel release 3/26/2021 and left carpal tunnel release on 5/21/2021. My recovery time was short with minimal pain. Dr. Hooper is the best. Surgery was short. She's an artist the scares are still healing but are blending great. The pain I had is gone. No more waking up out of my sleep because it feels like my hands are on fire or as if someone is standing on them. The tingling and numbness all gone. I didn't even know you could feel both at the same time. My carpal tunnel was awful. I suffered for 13 yrs. Anyone who is afraid of having the surgery I'd say do it let Dr. Hooper get you back to normal. Thank you Dr. Hooper.

I saw Dr. Hooper for a problem with a "trigger finger". The wait time was very short (maybe 5 minutes). The consultation went better than I anticipated. She didn't rush my appointment. I explained my problems (pain & locking) and let her know the different things I tried to correct the problem at home (massage, splints, brace, etc.). When she said that I tried the things that she would suggest, I knew that she was actually listening to me (how many doctors do that - actually listen?). After my surgery, she even called me the next day to check on me! Because of her ability to acknowledge and listen to my concerns and her sincere compassion, I recommend her to anyone looking for a hand surgeon! Too bad this review only allows 5 stars, because she definitely deserves 10!

I SAW DR. RACHEL HOOPER FOR SURGERY TO REPAIR CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME OF THE LEFT HAND. FROM MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE SURGERY AND POST OP CARE I WAS WELL TAKEN CARE OF BY A PROFESSIONAL AND CARING DOCTOR AND STAFF. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

I saw Dr Hooper for carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel release. My surgery was may 7th. She was so pleasant and welcoming. She explained the procedure to me very thoroughly. I felt very confident in the outcome. I can feel my hand now and have better function then I had before. I'm very glad I went with Dr Hooper!

Dr. Hooper provided excellent care to an infection on my ring finger. She performed a procedure that made me feel a little queasy, but her warm and engaging conversation provided a nice distraction. She was very clear about instructions for tending to the infected area: soak, milk, and wrap. And her choice of antibiotics was able to provide a healing solution for the infection. Previously, the drugs administered were not as potent. I would recommend her wholeheartedly to my best friend or family member.

I was having issues with a Trigger Finger on my right hand. Dr. Hooper was very thorough in explaining what she would be doing during my surgery and what I should expect during recovery. I was very impressed with her depth of knowledge in handling my situation. I had not had an opportunity to meet Dr. Hooper prior to the day of the surgery but she was patient, pleasant, and informative as if we had a long history together and I was her only patient. This made me feel even more comfortable with her caring for me. I would recommend her services to anyone who is nervous about having surgery. On Tuesday, May 4th, I had a follow up visit for a previous injury to my left hand. This visit was one of my best experiences and I've only had a few. For example, from the time Dr. Rachel Hooper entered the room, I could feel her sincerity and her presence. She actually gave me eye contact, which rarely, almost NEVER happens. Her smile, gestures and body language were genuine, faking a smile is NOT easy. She was NOT rigid, nor did she make me feel she was rushed. Her smile and body language were presence and genuine. She and staff really cared about my wellness. For example, her questions, the way she phrased them, made me feel that she was sincere. Her constant eye constant was awesome Overall, I feel blessed to have had such an experience; all patients should be so blessed. This girl, doctor, Dr. Rachel Hooper is on "Fire." Since my visit, I have shared my experiences with at least one-two hundred, people and I only spent approximately 19.5 minutes with Dr. Hooper, AMAZING!

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Rachel Hooper for a right thumb trigger finger. During this visit I was offered and accepted a steroid injection in hopes of relieving the pain. Dr Hooper informed me of what to expect during the procedure and details of the surgical procedure that could be done if the steroid injection didn't work. She instructed me to follow up with her either way as she wanted to know how everything was going. Unfortunately my left (dominant) triggered. I made an another appointment with Dr Hooper, but this time I definitely knew I wanted surgery. The procedure was done in Dr. Hooper's office, as expected she was very pleasant, she detailed everything that would be done during the procedure and what to expect after. The environment was pleasant staff worked well together. I can't say enough about Stacey! She walked me through every aspect of the procedure and was by my side during to make sure I was comfortable.

All of my visits was very good. She always made sure she explained everything thoroughly to me and left no questions unanswered. On my surgery day she came and reassured me that everything will be perfectly fine and my operation will be successful.

Dr. Hooper did my right wrist carpal tunnel surgery. I liked her the minute I met her. She had a way of talking to me that I have not encountered in years. She is kind, patient, and obviously intelligent and competent. No surgeon I have ever encountered has ever taken the time to call me after surgery to check on then. Maybe a nursing assistant once in a while has, but never a doctor. I am telling everyone I know, and we all type a lot, about this doctor. I have another surgery with her, and I am going into it with all the confidence in the world. My right hand is doing very ell.

Dr. Hooper provided an "interfacing procedure," tying my nerve endings into the muscles/fat during my bilateral leg amputation below the knee. This proved to be of immense value, as it all but eliminated any residual "Phantom Pain" after the surgery. Also, I would like to add that Dr. Hooper is a dedicated and compassionate physician. Her follow up and care helped to relieve my fears. I would recommend Dr. Hooper to anyone in need of her expertise.

Dr. Hooper is a Godsend. She made sure I was comfortable before and after my surgery. She explained everything to me beforehand and asked me if I understood her explanation. She did my surgery with no problems and I thank her for that.

I was referred to Dr. Hooper for surgery on a Trigger Finger. She was pleasant on the day of surgery, which was my first time meeting her. That said, I was very disappointed in the outcome of the surgery. She led me to believe that I would have full use of my finger after the surgery. When in fact, I am more limited in use than before. I can't even tell if the trigger finger was resolved, since I can hardly bend the finger at all now. During my follow up visit with Dr. Hooper, she seemed more concerned with protecting her reputation as a surgeon than addressing my concerns. She attempted to scold me, and implied that I did not understand the procedure before agreeing to it, simply because I made a technical error when discussing it. I found her language to be condescending and insulting and would have respected her much more if she had just admitted that the surgery did not go as well as she intended. I was also not informed that there was a risk of this happening.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Hooper for surgeries. I came to her for a 2nd consultation and was elated with her "bedside manners." She arrived to exam room in a timely manner, clearly explained what the xrays of my right wrist revealed, my options for treatment, surgery procedures and what to expect post-op. Dr. Hooper demonstrated patience and answered every question thoroughly. On surgery day, I was quite nervous and shaking. She came in prior to surgery and with confidence assured me, "she got this," and everything would be fine. During post op appointments, prior to getting new casts, she would massage wrist, rub vasoline and remove scabs. Dr. Hooper made me feel she possessed innate humility and although better trained medically than me, I felt not better than me.

Dr. Rachel Hopper is very caring.As a new patient and first timer to surgery she listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. She made me and my love feel real comfortable and that she is trustworthy and in her care I would be ok. She really put my/our minds at ease???? and for that I am THANKFUL.
