I found out that i needed hip replacement surgery. From the first meeting with Dr. Yalamanchili he set my mind at ease. He fully explained the procedure and what to expect. Im 8 weeks post surgery and its the best i have felt in months.

Dr. Ann Osman’s office quickly got me an appointment with Dr. Raj after X-rays showed I had a hip fracture. Dr. Raj was thorough and explained my fracture and how I should proceed as I heal. Fortunately surgery was not needed. The staff was efficient and friendly.

Needed "Hip" replacement and was referred Dr. Yalamanchili for evaluation. His office was very efficient and scheduled me quickly at the request of Dr. Cavanaugh. I received outstanding treatment and could not have had better communication or treatment. Very thankful to have had him provide my surgery and treatment.

After years of osteoarthritis, and increasing knee stiffness/pain, I finally saw Raj Yalamanchili. As gently as knowledgeable, he explained in plain terms what he observed before he lined up possible treatments. His no-nonsense approach impressed me, and I'll gladly follow his suggestions. I could not possibly be in better hands.

Had a plate inserted on my elbow to repair a fracture. Dr, Raj (as he is called) did an outstanding job of explaining what the surgery would entail, performing the surgery and managing the port-op. I have 100% use and flexibility of my elbow, no pain and no longer term discomfort. He and his staff are very profssional and effective.

Follow up visit after total knee replacement surgery, excellent results with smooth recovery

I cannot say enough about Dr. Raj, and his staff. I had a total left knee replacement on February 10th, 2022. I went for my six week checkup, and am now cleared to play golf already. Dr. Raj, is courteous, considerate, and takes the time to explain everything, and answer all questions. I have been bow legged my entire life, and he even straightened the leg. I will be having the right knee replaced in a few months, and would never even consider another doctor. The staff and actually everyone I dealt with at Upper Chesapeake, were highly professional, competent, and considerate. It is not a pleasant experience for sure, but Dr. Raj, and everyone involved, made it so much easier.

Dr Raj is amazingly different from so many physicians these days. On December 31, I was admitted with a broken ankle in several places. Dr took the time to explain to my daughter and I how the break was situated, where the rods needed to be placed and about the recovery time. Due to the fact that my left shoulder was also crushed, he explained why I would be hospitalized and have shoulder surgery in a few days, he was below the waist specialist and Dr Cook was the above waist who would be doing the other surgery. Thru the whole process, Dr Raj has been patient, kind and has an excellent bed side manner. The office staff is exceptional, organized and kind. All in all except for the inconvenience of the injury it has been a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend scheduling with the doctor. Sorry you need them but they are great in my experience. Hi I just wanted to get a shout out For Dr. Raj Yalamanchili four years ago I went to Dr. Raj because I tore my Labral muscle in my left hip and had Arthritis he told me that I should stop and do nothing for three months and let the muscle heal otherwise I was gonna need a hip replacement I explain to Dr. Raj that I’m working I really can’t take three months off so he said OK whatever you want to do six months later after Limping around getting worse and worse I went back to see Dr. Raj and he gave me a total hip replacement that works great never had any issues no infections and no more pain he gave me back my quality of life As far as I am concerned he’s the best I’m going to need a knee replacement in the near future and he’s the only one that’s going to do that for me. Dr. Yalamanchill did a great job on my hip surgery. He explained everything about the surgery. Took time in answering any questions. He very concerned about how you go about your recovery . Has a strict program about it. But it’s worth it. My hip feels very good . I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Raj was amazing from start to finish. I have had multiple issues with infections in my left leg including necrotizing fasciitis which did not take my left leg. Dr. Raj did everything in his power to make sure I did not get an infection in my hip replacement. I did not get any infections and my hip replacement was a complete success. My right hip needs replacing and I will ask Dr. Raj to do it! I would recommend him to my family and friends and if you are reading this I recommend him to you. Dr. Raj is one of the Top Doctors I have ever known, I recommend him highly!!!!!

I just received arthroscopic knee surgery in an effort to hold off needing total knee replacement for as long as possible. Dr. Raj explained the issues clearly and provided honest expectations for the results of surgery. After surgery care included an honest assessment of what I need to do to continue to heal my knee, including weight loss, providing clear suggestions for success. Hard to hear but honest!

Follow up appointments for a fracture of patella. No surgery. Pleased with his care.

Dr Yamacili did my total knee replacement in May. He is a wonderful Doctor so kind and caring. He explained the whole procedure before surgery and also the recovery. Very professional in replacing my left hip. Dr. Yalamanchili took me out of severe pain to walking normal again.

With this hip replacement surgery being my very first surgery in my 68-year lifetime, needless to say I was extremely nervous. The entire process with the office was very well planned and Dr. Raj was so understanding. All the pre-op testing was close to my home and the hospital, which lessened the stress. Dr. Raj explained the procedure quite well and everyone in the ER was extremely patient and kind. Going home the same day was also very nerve racking, but having a home health nurse come once a week and Physical Therapy twice weekly for 2 weeks was comforting. Also the ability to call the home health agency with any questions or concerns was wonderful. Everyone from the people at Physical Therapy before surgery to people in the hospital, the home health nurse, and Physical Therapy at my home, spoke very highly of Dr. Raj's bedside manner and his amazing ability to perform this surgery with such expertise. I am blessed to have found Dr. Raj and Upper Chesapeake Hospital.

He is caring. He explained the whole procedure, so I was able to know what to expect. He saw me a few times after my surgery to make sure I was okay. I would recommend him to anyone.

I visited Dr Yalamanchili for a second opinion for my right knee. The doctor had xrays taken and explained to me On the X-ray what the issues and concerns are. I have had a total right hip replacement by Dr. Raj. At my first visit he told me that is what I needed and sent me to see his secretary to schedule the surgery. I wished for more information on what the surgery would entail and what I could expect afterwards. The next time I saw him was for surgery. He was very personable and I felt comfortable knowing he was my surgeon. The two follow up appointments after surgery went well, he answered all of my questions. I learned the importance of having questions to ask, instead of assuming the doctor was going to tell me everything I needed to know. He is an artist in his field.

I had total right hip replacement by Dr. Yalamanchili 10 weeks ago and have been very impressed by his work and pleased with the results. He was very patient and thorough. I was encouraged that he used robotic assisted surgery and grateful for my smooth recovery and total lack of problems. I have been virtually pain-free throughout my recovery and noticed unexpected improvements in my flexibility. I am very pleased and thankful for this surgery and for Dr. Yalamanchili. He is A Number On in my books!

Four years ago I tore a left knee meniscus and had Dr. Raj repair it. He did such a good job them I asked to have him again when I needed a full right knee replacement in October 2020. Once again he was superb and along with the rest of the UCMC Ortho staff at Swan Creek and the UCMC hospital staff they were great! Kudos to "Miss Nancy" there for her coordination of the entire operation and post-op recovery.

I’ve been suffering with major back issues and discovered I need a left hip replacement. Had my surgery done on September 1,2020. It went exceptionally well. I finally got rid of my groin pain that I suffered with for quite a while. I instantly had no hip and groin pain. All I had was surgical pain. That pain went away pretty fast. I know my right hip will ha e to done soon and I will only go to Dr Raj. Thanks for being the best

Dr Raj was amazing, today is 6 weeks from total hip replacement. Even with the pandemic, it was so smooth and professionally handled in every aspect. I have never had a major surgery, but I could not imagine it being done any better than it was. My results so far as physically are amazing and beyond any expectations I might have had. He told me yesterday it was up to me on returning to work, I am a Bricklayer by trade. I would HIGHLY recommend him for surgery to anyone.

The behavior of this office is borderline unethical. They’ve held a prior authorization hostage for four months now and refuse to release it to the new attending physician. They also claim to have no records of the numerous calls and the letter sent to their office regarding this manner. As a result, my mother may never receive the care she needs and her condition is worsening. Most recently they told us the prior auth had “expired” so it is our responsibility to resolve it now. We’ve already confirmed directly with the PBM this is inaccurate.

If you need orthopedic services, I would highly recommend against seeing Dr. Yalamanchili’s office. Not because of the doctor himself, but because his administrative staff and office manager are irresponsible, unresponsive and unaccountable.
