Dr. Garapati operated on my shoulder. I broke it in three places and Dr. Garapati fixed it. He and his team are top notch.

Excellent surgeon! Did well by me. Saved my lower leg. Listened and did his very best to resolve my issues and concerns. His staff is also Top Notch and super helpful.

I agree that Dr. Garapati should likely have many more positive reviews, including mine. Four years later perspective: Fabulous!! Dr. Garapati and his team did foot surgery, following my car accident. The foot was knocked out of the socket (sorry-graphic). Dr. Garapati was chosen for me by his colleague and I fell into the hands of a fabulous, bright, simply excellent team. Between my surgery, and the all-important physical therapy, I can now jump up and down, I can do yoga, I can balance on that foot (!) - I have limited range of motion but I also have metal on both sides of the ankle - I can't expect 100%. I am ridiculously grateful as it's possible that with the wrong surgeon, my ability to walk could be compromised today. Shout out to *Emilie* whose last name I no longer have (Masters in Medicine) is or was right-hand to Dr. Garapati. Dr. Garapati was the the trauma surgeon assigned to me when an accident required emergency surgery on my broken hip. He is a skilled surgeon and I am healing and recovering well three months post op. My frustration has been his lack of interest in me as a whole patient. He never bothered introducing himself to me prior to surgery as I requested, and never followed up with me during my 3 day hospital stay, even though I repeatedly asked to see him. Bad form imo. When secondary complications/injuries occurred following surgery he seemed disinterested in devoting his time to the new injury. He was only focused on the healing of his specific surgery. This was a constant pattern throughtout my experience with him: tunnel vision focus without any concern for the residual effects of the trauma. Now I am left with a brand new orthopedic issue that he clearly didn't want to bother resolving when I visited his office recently for this express purpose.

Aside from Dr. Gerapati's medical expertise and treatment, his greatest gifts are his kindness, compassion and imparting hope in one's recovery. Surgery was recommended by the emergency room physicians after a terrible fall, injuring my upper arm socket with two breaks and a crack connecting the two fractures. Pain was awful, though through his patience and convincing me, I am two months out--still healing--avoiding surgery, which would have definitely lengthened my recovery time and my being out of work without a paycheck. Never underestimate the power of hope, especially from your doctor, in your healing recovery. There's no medical code for hope, but its value is immeasurable. Thank you, Dr. Gerapati.

I cannot believe he has only 4 reviews!. This man saved my life! Aug 2011 I had a bad motorcycle accident. They brought me to northwestern hospital initially. I had 6 pelvic fractures and an ankle fracture. I could have bleed to death internally with the pelvic fractures. Northwestern did not know what to do with me so after 4 hours they transferred me to Luthern General to be evaluated by Dr Garapati. After surgery and physical rehab all I was left with was a screw in my pelvis and two ankle screws. North western wanted to put a bunch of plates and screws. I am so glad they transferred me to another hospital because I had the best surgeon around to take care of me. Also i was blown away by his bedside manners and his patience. When I broke my leg in June 2016, Dr. Garapati had done an excellent job with the surgery to put my leg back together. Recovery was faster than I had expected. I was down to one crotch in less than 2 months, and completely off the crutches in less than 3 months.

Dr Garapati repaired a non-healing fracture of my right upper arm about a year ago. Prior to the surgery, he took plenty of time with me explaining the situation and best options. dominant hand, I After some substantial rehab, I have regained total use of my (dominant) arm, have minimal to no pain and am very pleased with the result. I often remark to friends how the scar, which is quite long, is hardly noticeable and that Dr. G must have some plastic surgery skills!

My experience with Dr. Garapati was excellent. Very happy with my surgery. I was 66 yrs old at the time I tripped and broke my left ankle on both sides.

Dr. Garapati is a miracle worker. He saved my leg from being cut off by another doctor. He took extremely good care of me while in his care. His staff was extremely helpful and caring to my situation and very professional. I couldn't recommend Dr. Garapati and his staff enough. I didn't think that I would ever walk again after having 13 breaks in a very small area of my leg and 3 months later I was walking with a walking boot. Today, a year post surgery, I am walking on my own. Thank you Doctor.

A year ago, I was in an accident and needed to see a trauma surgeon. I met with Dr. Garapati. He was very knowledgeable, explained everything to me in so that I understood what I needed to have done. He was empathetic and very professional. I was comfortable with the surgery I needed to have to recover and get back to my athletic endeavors. My recovery following surgery was smooth. My recovery should have been 12 to 18 months but I was back to running after 8 months.

Dr Rajeev Garapati treated me with outstanding professional ability and great care. Due to Motor vehicle accident,had broken my pelvic, Doctor was following up from Day 1 to find out best time for conducting surgery to fix the Pelvic fracture and dislocation. He has used his best ability and could do a very best surgery to make my daughter walk well and continue to be of her full strength. We as family greatly appreciate Doctor's abilities. His PA Emily is also very professional and kind.

I really got lucky to get Dr. Garapati for my emergency surgery for My Right ankle. He repaired all small pieces that was used to be my ankle. I can walk again. Wonderful Doctor.

I broke my ankle on a Sunday when to Emergency room at Illinois Masonic. Dr. Garapati saw me on Monday and did surgery on Thursday. Every visit I had he saw me . I would recommend him 100%.. I had a very bad break and I haven't been in any pain to talk about.

In 2016 my femur bone broke and was taken to Lutheran General Hospital where I first met Dr. Garapati. He is very knowledgeable about his field, and once we spoke and when he scheduled the surgery, I already had faith in him as being extremely competent. I recommend him highly as an outstanding surgeon.

My experience with Dr. Garapati was excellent. He performed emergency surgery when I suffered multiple pelvic fractures when visiting Illinois, and many others told me I was fortunate to have had him as my surgeon. The surgery was completely successful. I also had three follow up visits with him before returning home to Colorado, and it was always clear to me what to expect and what was expected of me. He was receptive to my questions and always provided clear and helpful answers.

Dr Garapati did a wonderful surgery on my hip several years ago. It took me a short time to get back to normal walking. After several years, my hip is just as good as new.

Although my injury required amputation, Dr. Garapati did everything he could to save my leg. He was successful in saving my other ankle. He and his PA Emily are knowledgeable, professional,and caring. He has always taken the time to answer in detail any questions we may have. I would highly recommend him and his staff.

not having had any surgery in over 60 years (last time at age 5) I had a number of questions and concerns related to the procedure, follow-up and recovery. From the initial visit to final release, my relations with Dr. Garapati could not been any better.. He was thoroughly professional at all times.

Dr. Garapati was extremely accommodating when I had an injury to my big toe. He re-worked his surgery schedule in order to treat me as quickly as possible. The surgery went well, and I had a complete recovery.

Dr. Garapati is a wonderful, knowledgeable, caring, and professional surgeon. I broke my leg in two places. He not only fixed my leg, but described everything from the beginning all the way to the end. He and his staff seemed to go above and beyond for my medical needs. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone in need.

I was diagnosed with knee bursitis and Dr Garapati recommend surgery since antibiotics didn't help much. I'm very happy with the whole procedure, all staff professionalism and explaining the whole procedure to the patient. I would highly recommend consulting Dr Garapati for orthopedic surgery.

Dr. Garapati is a highly skilled surgeon and is liked and respected by his support staff. Additionally, he has a regional reputation for taking on the "tough" cases (mine was!) Good communication skills, Takes the time to ask and answer pertinent questions. I would highly recommend him.
