Outstanding
Dr Iyer prescribed medication to relieve the severe pain I was experiencing, and ordered an MRI to examine my spinal injury. He confirmed an L4-L5 nerve issue, and did an epidural injection to try to relieve the pain. It was like a miracle. One year later, I am relatively pain free. I might add that physical therapy preceded my visit to Dr Iyer, and I am continuing to do the exercises and stretches I learned at PT. Two thumbs up for Dr Iyer.
I loved him. He's the only doctor that read all my health notes before seeing me and was great through the whole spinal injection process.
I have been an OT for over 40 years. I started an OT program at Beaumont, Troy. I am writing a review because I have no idea why Dr Iyer has received terrible reviews, yet I need to share mine. I was in a near fatal accident on my way home from work. I was non weight bearing in my leg and my arm, using an electric wheelchair with ramps in my house. It's hard to be a patient when you've been a clinician. Yet, I chose Dr. Iyer, by reputation, eventually. I found him to be a good listener, reviewing my records before he saw me and making thoughtful clinical choices for my care. I would recommend him. I have been an OT for over 40 years. Great , took the time to answer all my questions and has a very pleasant personality
Doesn't follow up after a procedure like they said would. I follow up, get a receptionist who takes a message and still haven't received a call back. This is going on over 3 weeks now. They have no business hours posted so I don't know when they open/close and I work during the week 8-5. Was and is very helpful in addressing all my health concerns is one of the best Dr I've had for quite sometime considering the Dept Veterans affairs awful treatment
