Rajesh Raina

I am wheelchair bound and unable to get to the office easily. He took over when my dr retired. His staff scheduled a telehealth for a medication refill. He told me that I know too much about the disease that I have and I should find another dr to teach. A dr who is too full of himself to listen or speak to his patients is NOT someone I want in charge of my care.

The reason I haven't gone back to the practice is that even when making appointments I had to wait a minimum of on hour and a half to 2 hours before being seen. I purposely made an appointment for a Saturday morning at 9 a.m. which is first appointment of the day. When I entered, the entire waiting room was filled as was down the hallway. I asked at the desk how many doctors were in considering they were full, and was told only 1. My time is valuable too and I don't stand for being treated with such disrespect. I told the receptionist to remove my name from the waitlist and I never returned. There are many other doctors to choose from who treat their patients with courtesy and respect.

Prefer going to Medical Associates. Great people here who take the time to explain things.

Andrew is very thorough in explaining all tests and going through my medical history. He is very professional and personable. The nursing staff are always very sweet and efficient. The receptionists always greet me with a smile.

Please trust the latest reviews. They are accurate. The reason medical costs are so high is because of doctors like this. They are only there for the money. They order too many unnecessary tests. They charge copays when they should not. They bill you after you have already paid in the office, so I learned to save my receipts. Don’t waste your time and money. There are plenty of good doctors out there. Good luck!

Dr. Rajesh Raina is the worst doctor I have ever encountered. He is rude, unprofessional and poorly trained. This man should not be practicing medicine. My recommendation is to avoid him and his practice.

I'd give zero stars if I could. It's always over an hour wait, even if you're the first patient. They order anything under the sun just to increase profit margins. Even if you don't necessarily need it, they try to convince you that you do so they can bill your insurance. Every referral is within their network. The Dr. runs tests without telling the patient or clarifying why it was done. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, Dr. Raina said, "I'm 56 years old, I don't have time for unhappy patients. I have people come from Brooklyn to see me, because they love me! I don't need you. You need to find a new Doctor. If you want your script filled next month you need a new office. Goodbye.". That's word for word from a "DOCTOR"! In my opinion? Classic narcissist sprinkled with a lot of judgement and misogyny. Don't expect even a simple discussion or proper care. Please go elsewhere!!!!

Really teriible experience and care. Dr. Raina did not look up from the computer during the entire visit. He did not perform a physical exam at all. He asked a few quick questions, but did not follow up on anything I said. I do not think he was listening. It appears he was interested in seeing me as quickly as possible. He was not interested in me.

First time patient and had a physical. Looked at my chart and went over meds and that was the end of the visit.

I only go to this practice because it’s in a convenient location . But Dr Raina is definitely the worst doctor I have even seen in my life . Whenever I see him I first wait hours, then when he finally shows up , he sits down in front of a computer, doesn’t ask about anything, and just rushes you out. One time I got blood work done for a physical and THEY LOST MY RECORDS . I got blood work for no reason. Such a waste of time, every time I leave this place I get mad. Save yourself the trouble, and just find another doctor because this guy could care less about his patients.

Dr Rainer is the worst doctor I have ever seen in my entire life! The first time I met him, he never introduced himself, just went straight to the computer monitor and read my chart. Wouldn't even face me to talk to me. He barely listened to what I said. Was very rude and in a rush to get me to leave. He prescribed medication without even examining me. Who does that? Every time I went there, all they wanted to do is send you for more tests. He even made a comment once that I had good insurance, so I should come more often. They have a PA named Andrew who is nice and personable, but you are not always guaranteed to get him.

Dr. Raina is always warm and pleasant to speak to. As a matter of fact, I have found myself telling him more than I planned when I scheduled an appointment. He is an excellent listener and a good doctor.

I absolutely love Medical Associates. The girls at the Front desk are always friendly, and Dr. Raina couldn't be more caring. They generally get you in for an appointment very quickly. I had a health issue that I called for yesterday and Dr. Noreen answered my questions on the phone and then Dr. Raina called me back to check on me today. I am very happy and I've never had better or more personal care from a healthcare team.

Assessment & diagnostic skills are exceptional. I've had some complex heath management & support issues & Dr. Raina has been very responsive. Well respected.

Honestly do your self a favor, and see a different doctor. One hour minimum wait time, to have the doctor sit on his phone the entire time text messaging someone and ignoring you. Oh, but they got my copay! The whole office runs way behind on time and has no value for their patients time or money.

Dr. Riana is amazing. He takes his time to make sure every question is answered and all the health concerns are addressed. Time is not a constraint when you are his patient and I like that about him. He knows what is medically important and follows through. I am very satisfied.

Dr. Raina has been our family physician for more than 10 years and we are very grateful to have him. We have been able to get in to see him during emergencies and the office of Medical Associates calls us to follow up when needed. THE worst doctor I have ever seen. I'm young but am having a lot of health issues. He barely listened to a word I said, and instead had me do all these unnecessary tests that even the technicians said were unnecessary. He gave me blood pressure medication, even though my bp has always been perfect, up until that day because I was NERVOUS with all the tests he was giving me. Seriously money-hungry and apathetic. Talked to me for ~30 seconds and even though I was visibly upset, he walked out.

Dr. Raina is always quick and to the point on health issues. He seemed very capable and was easy to talk to. I appreciate his honesty and sharing with me fully his thoughts on all issues. I consider my professional relationship, physician - patient to be as close to perfection as we can ask for.

I've been a patient of Dr. Raina for over two years now. I'm really comfortable with him and his staff. I would recommend him to all.

Went in for the annual physical exam. Doctor Raina rushed through the appointment and did not check my lungs or reflexes or any of tests doctors are supposed to run through, during an annual physical exam. He said because I was young and in my 20s, there was nothing to check. This is ageist, unprofessional and lazy. I will not be coming back here. Also, he walked in on me while I was changing into the robe. He did not knock before entering.

Avoid at all cost. He is a money hungry doctor. I clearly heard his staff while i was in the waiting room to give me bunch of unnecessary tests for example an ekg before i even met him. He will make you visit him several times unnecessarily to earn more money and does not care a bit about your health. The staff is rude and unprofessional. One of them was texting the full time while taking my blood. There are 100s of reviewers that will agree with me. I am shocked his license isn't canceled yet.

Went in for (then undiagnosed) Lyme disease. Interrogated me about my depression/anxiety. He then asked what my major was, and I answered. He didn't approve. He told my mother that because I was raised in this country, I had "too many options" and that was why I was "messed up and confused in therapy." When I expressed anger he said "Don't take it so personally, I have a dry sense of humor." His PA tried to get me to "admit" to binge drinking. Most of office is just as unprofessional and callous

The worst!! Absolutely unprofessional. No interest in patient wellness whatsoever. My mother had done a MRI since November and neither the office nor the doctor called her regarding the results. Two months later she was still in pain and had to schedule an appt. herself. NEVER got a call from the office. When she went in, THEN they gave her the results of her MRI which was not good news at all. So basically they let two months pass without notifying the patient of the problem! Unacceptable!

When we talk about the medical profession, there are various personality traits that are expected from you as a doctor. The name of Dr. Rajesh Raina comes in my mind when I talk about a caring and a successful doctor. He is one of those persons who are very committed towards their job. I really appreciate the ethical values of Dr. Raina that counts him among the most honorable and respected doctors in New York.

Dr. Raina is extremely rude, nasty & incompetent. The office staff is disorganized & unfriendly. Due to the fact that they overbook patients, there's always a 1 - 3 hour wait. They order an excessive amount of tests to make money, & office visits are very rushed. I had a disagreement with Dr. Raina, during which he continued to rant and rave yelling & screaming at me for 15 minutes. He refused to treat me & I left his office sick, emotionally distraught & in tears. Worst doctor I've ever seen.

To earn a good reputation is not something that happens overnight. To be a successful doctor, you should be very dedicated towards your work. Dr. Rajesh Raina is the finest example of such a physician who is the founder of Medical Associates New York. He is one of the most knowledgeable and compassionate physicians I have ever met in my life.

My daughter had a problem of prominent rashes on feet, face and hands. It was some sort of allergy. I took her for visit to medical associates where children of any age can be tested for allergies. They diagnosed the allergy through skin test and she was relieved from allergy soon. I highly recommend Dr Raina!
