I like the guy, he has a lifetime of experience and he's got some unique methods of perscribing medications unlike any other psychiatrist I have ever been to. His advice really helped me to see some things that I haven't gotten from a therapist.

Dr. Ryback saved my life. I make no bones about that. Saw him at my lowest point in life, barely able to function, and now I've made huge strides, and am regaining myself and remembering who I am, and he's who made it possible. Brilliant scientist and physician.

Ryback was horrible to me. He was a doctor at the Vines hospital and he asked me a bunch of questions about bipolar symptoms. I said no to most of them, so he said that I am clearly bipolar. He also refused to listen to anything I said and claimed that I would be less fat if I skipped some meals at the hospital. He also threatened to commit me long term when I said that I didn't remember the details about getting an injury because people just don't get drunk and get hurt. Worst doctor I've seen.

He’s a drug dealer. He doesn’t take insurance and he’ll write you whatever u want for cash. He’s damn near 80 years old and just trying to rack up that cash before he retires. Controlled substances for cash and he’s your man. Benzos, amphetamines, sleep pills and bupe no problem. Prolly even pain management. Scripts for cash

Called three (3) times, assistant/nurse "please leave Dr a voicemail, he returns all calls within 24hours and does his own scheduling." Three (3) weeks later, not one return phone call from the Doctor or his Staff - PATHETIC. Avoid

In short as a Survivor and First Responder of the World Trade Center Terrorists Attack,and I predisposition to be mentally ill Dr. Ryback changed my life. I had seen over 25 mental health Drs. but none had the profound effect on my life than Dr.Ryback. Dr. Ryback in short gave me HOPE , it wasn't just the completely new regime of medications but our conversations he taught me about myself why I thought and acted as I did and he taught me about life and showed me things I could never have seen without him. I saw Dr. Ryback for over 3 years and my life had never been so good and had never been so promising. I had to move a couple hours away from Dr. Ryback and travel to see him every month but he thought it wasn't a good idea being that far away from him. In the last 2 years my life has spiraled down to the the point of no HOPE again hospitals and Drs. and other whirlwind of medications but no happiness or piece in my life. If you are one of the very fortunate people to be able to see Dr. Ryback grab onto to his compassion to genuinely help people and hold on with all the desperation of a drowning man, he can save your life he did when i was able to see him, and he holds the Hope we desperately need. Dr Ryback is probably the BEST Psychiatrist in the Country! He doesn’t just throw medicines at you but treats the symptoms.

Dr.Ryback is a excellent doctor. I miss him here in Maryland. He cares about his patients.

I was fortunate to meet Dr. Ryback, I was a patient at a mental health facility in Naples where Dr. Ryback was the medical director. I was originally assigned to another Dr. but after a week's time during the staff meeting the Dr. I was assigned to conveyed that he couldn't help me he didn't know how to proceed with me. I was turned over as I last ditch effort to Dr. Ryback upon entering his office for the first time after a quick session he knew what I needed DR Ryback changed my life.

I found Dr. Ryback to be a very good psychiatrist . His personality and directness might put people off, but I think he genuinely cares and tries his best to make his patients get better. I had a bad view of him at first, because he tells you things you probably don't want to hear and in a way that is off-putting. He means well and I think he's a excellent psychiatrist.
