He's a good doctor!

My little boy was in pain, and needed to be seen. I’ve came here for years as a walk in at 3:30 after work. I drove 35 minutes away for him to be seen. I stopped by here at 25 minutes after 3. Go in, and the lady says they aren’t taking any more patients. They weren’t even closed. Only a couple cars outside. It says online they are open until 4… I’ve never heard of a doctor turning a child away. They need to worry more about sick kids than getting home. Shame on them. I’ll never go back. Wait just depends on how many patients are there. I’ve been there during midday, and I waited close to an hour. Went recently in the early morning hours, waited about 10 minutes & was seen within 30 minutes Of walking in by a provider. They have the ability to draw labs in office & are always pleasant when I have been there. Only criticism I have is I wish there were a bit more privacy when checking in concerning why you’re there & handing over insurance cards (verifying address, etc). I accompanied a friend on her visit to this office and I was very unpleasantly surprised by the manner in which she was treated. The nurses were extremely hateful and condescending towards every patient and seemed aggravated when asked for assistance. The wait was extremely long even though there were only a few patients. Currently I don't have insurance so I would typically go to Dr. Simms because he has always been good to help you out. Apparently compassion & integrity have gone out the window there now. There hours are clearly posted Monday thru Friday 8-4 I have to work until 3 so I get out there about 15 minutes after 3 to find they closed early. My mom calls them and they say that didn't have many patient, but a bunch of paperwork so they closed early. I call back to explain the situation & that I couldn't afford to go to emegency care so he would have to wait until Monday to see a doctor & they had already sent it to voicemail. I'm getting ready to leave and a school bus pulls up dropping off one of the doctors kids so I stop her and ask about them closing early and explain the situation. Not only do I get no compassion, or even a recommendation of somewhere I could go, but she straight up lies to my face and days they close early on Fridays and they forgot to change the sign. Will absolutely, positively NEVER set foot in that doctors office again. So much for being a doctor to help people, apparently it's just a paycheck and convenient hours for them... Dr. Sinms is a very wonderful man and doctor. He is so compassionate about his work and his patients. He is intelligent, and great at what he does. He always remembers all of my children's names and what they were there for last. He always treats my whole family like we are HIS family. Rather than listening for to the symptoms and perscribe a medicine, He actually checks out the problem and try to really help you by perscribing the right medicine! I have never met another doctor that was able to diagnose a problem right and very quickly like he does. Not only is he an amazing doctor he has a amazing staff too. He was really awesome with my kids and I!! Him and his staff make you feel very welcome and comfortable.
