Dr. Ralph Nelson Vick

Very quick to take your money for procedures. Don't expect ANY post-op care as this guy doesn't give a darn. I've had tons of complications from a procedure and the lack of care is shocking. I've never had a practice so uncaring in my life. You could probably find a more caring practice in the classifieds.

Dr. Vick does not follow up with patients or provide any communication after the exam, despite ordering labs that required his review to confirm a diagnosis. I received my lab results on April 29 and May 5. Several values were flagged. No notes were placed on my chart by Dr. Vick and I was never contacted. As of June 1st I have still heard nothing from Dr. Vick despite several attempts to reach him and the front office staff promising a same-day callback after the last attempt.

Dr Vick and his supporting team were all super. He was very caring prior to moving forward with any procedure, great bedside manner, straight-forward and friendly, and he helped to put us at ease. The entire team of registrars, nurses, the Anesthesiologist and her team all performed superbly, efficiently, precisely, and with care. I highly recommend this practice and Dr. Vick. Thank you.

NO!!! NO!!! NO!!! PLEASE PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY!!!! Dr. Vick in the Huntersville office is a HORRIBLE provider of care. He shows no compassion, respect or courtesy for you as a patient. I left this office in tears feeling humiliated and insignificant for the way he and his staff treated me. And to this date, do yo think they have bothered to follow up or check in on me? No!!! And they won't because they don't care!! There is no money in phone calls and following up on a patient. He is all about the money and orders unnecessary testing that does not benefit you or him for coming to a diagnosis to resolve your issues, and I got this straight from the providers mouth. They thought is was funny that the testing they sent me for did not show any progression or improvement of my disease!!! Really?!?! Please, please do you due diligence before choosing this HORRIBLE HORRIBLE provider. I don't want anyone else to experience how horrible this man will make you feel.

Dr. Vick removed my kidney due to cancer and I could not have been more pleased with his care. He has been wonderful to me and would highly recommend him. He has been treating me for over 2 years and has been very sensitive to my feelings and physical being. I am shocked at some of the bad reviews as he has never been neglectful or disrespectful to me.

June 2021 Pre-surgery & Surgery went well, but then his office seemed to implode. No follow-up scheduled, calls were not returned, electronic messages were not returned, test results were not communicated, post-surgery pain was not addressed I chose to switch providers.

I was in an emergency situation. Dr. Vick was very understanding and made things happen. Mary, the surgery scheduler, got the cystoscopy scheduled quickly with a follow up lithotripsy. Lolita at the front desk was always cheerful and helpful. I would definitely recommend this practice.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Every thing seemed fine at first. I got Testosterone pellets to treat low T. There was more pain and swelling than anticipated but not the main issue. I specifically asked if this was covered under insurance and how much more the more expensive treatment would be. I was told that with my co-pay of $40 I needed to pay an extra $127.67 and I made the payment before the procedure. Now two months later I receive a bill for another $571.78 saying that the procedure was not covered under insurance. Even though I specifically asked and after they went and checked I was told that it was covered. So now I have to fight them and probably will be forced to pay Six Times the agreed upon price. Terrible service here. Never got me back a PSA result & I ran them down for a week. Finally told me the machine was broke. Changed doctors after that & still never got my result & had to do another PSA test with new doctor. Then I’m billed for the test I never got a result for. The original test was in January & they claim they sent the result to my new doctor in May so I need to pay. RIDICULOUS. Also when you go they treat you like a number from the moment you walk in.You don’t want to go here

felt like a number twice check-in online and in office with computers(impersonal). he drew and made some assumptions before gathering all info. questioned my motive for being there. I felt unimportant in my condition. more interested in my insurance. I pretty sure he is well qualified, just not right for me.

Office did blood work for testosterone and PSA. Next appt with PA I did not receive test results depsite their promise to phone and the PSA was critical to know. Next appt. injected medication for ED with instrustions for me to phone. Over two weeks later, I have no response in any form from the office. Not a practise I would recommend.

My overall experience has been excellent .Doctor Ralph Vick was very knowledgeable ,pleasant and thorough .He gently helped me to navigate treatment options that was best for me, when I was very overwhelmed with unfavorable findings.Did follow up calls himself.Very personal physician. Easy accessibility for all appointments.His assistant and Staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. I have no reservation in recommending anyone to his office,including family members if needed

Best doctor I ever had. He diagnosed my condition my first visit.

Dr. Vick is the worst doctor I've ever experienced. When he spoke about the pain I was having he used finger quotes every time he said "pain" as if it wasn't real. While I was in the middle of talking he interrupted me and said to my husband "I bet she complains at home all the time. I'm sure it's terrible for you." I was scared. I needed help and he didn't take me seriously and was disrespectful. I would never recommend anyone to him.

Dr. Vick is wonderful. We had another local urologist, but he was not a fit for us. Dr. Vick honestly cares, addresses our concerns and is excellent and thorough in my husbands surgeries. I highly recommend him.
