Went to him a bit ago. I'm overweight. I told him im autistic. He said that his anesthesiologist wont do the general anesthetic bc of my bmi. My mom went there when she had to get her wisdom teeth taken out and she was bigger than i am at the time. I call bs. Never going to him again.

Dr. Begley and his staff are execellent. They were all very kind, caring, professional to me when I had my surgery. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I recently had to have a jaw tooth extracted and a dental implant put it. Dr. Begley did an outstanding job. He completely explained the procedure and what I should expect, very compassionate and caring. The pain afterward was very mild. Never had any problems. Would highly recommend !

Pretty sure they forgot I'm here. My appointment was at 10, had me fill out a couple papers then back to the room to watch a 10 min video that the doctor was supposed to be in by the end. It's 11:21. Movie ended 20 minutes ago. Cold, quiet, windowless room and no clue when the door will open. The front window lady with glasses NEEDS to be fired. I just asked if they remembered I was there and asked where the bathroom was, she started in on me with we can send you back to Crosstrails and there is the door. She was instantly and extremely aggressive with me for asking 1 question. Just one. Yea I feel real welcome. COLOSSAL waste of time! They basically told me after finally coming in and the dentist walking out as I was asking a question. Then one of them says my surgery will be at the hospital but oh they are a few months out and being at the hospital dental insurance won't cover it...I ask why did you even have me come in? Seriously this office is a joke. Waste my time for 2 hours for absolutely no reason. Be professional. Pretty sure they forgot I'm here. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Begley! My daughter was in a bike accident and we needed a consultation to see if her jaw was broken or if there was other damage besides her broken teeth. Dr. Begley and his staff were able to fit us in quickly and were so helpful and calming. He was detailed in his explanation but in a way that was understandable and helpful. Three kids, three successful wisdom teeth removals. The staff is professional, Dr. Begley's knowledge and experience was much appreciated as each child had a different problem to deal with. All recovered well with no complications. Dr. Begley and his staff were terrific!

Dr. Begley is an outstanding surgeon. He does a really good job making his patients feel comfortable and informed with what’s going on. No complications occurred and I am very happy with the results.

Dr. Begley explains the procedure, recovery process, and shows you videos and images that answers all your questions. Also was able to have me come in for a wisdom teeth extraction the next week, where as many other places were booked for months ahead or more. Super thankful I was able to get it done right away!

I had a great experience with Dr. Begley when I had my wisdom teeth removed. I am normally very uneasy at the thought of dental work, but Dr. Begley took the time to explain the entire procedure to me and made sure I was comfortable and taken care of. I highly recommend him.

I have never been treated so poorly as I was when I sent to Southeast Missouri Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. I was forced to watch a video before I could see the doctor, and when Dr. Randal Begley actually saw me, he spent all of 30 seconds looking at my tooth before telling me he would not treat me. My tooth was broken and I was in severe pain, and Dr. Begley could not treat me with empathy nor did he seem concerned about my pain at all. I have never posted a negative review before in my life about anyone, but I felt compelled to post this one. Stay away from Dr. Randal Begley and Southeast Missouri Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. They do not care about their patients.

I was scheduled to have my wisdom teeth removed Tuesday but got a call about a cancellation so was able to get in on Friday. The whole process was very effortless & quick. The nurses were all very nice & knowledgeable. I even received a call a few hours after my surgery from them asking how I was doing! Recovery has been great so far. Thank you Dr. Begley & staff! Love, love, LOVE Dr Begley! My implant procedure was flawless. He is the absolute best at giving shots, mine were painless which I really appreciated. He was so nice and professional with my implant and both of my kids wisdom teeth. Staff was great and I wouldn't hesitate to go back for any oral surgery needs. Highly recommend!

Rudest staff I've ever encountered

Horrible, disrespectful, tried to make me take meds That’s i wasn’t supposed to take. Left out and told his nurse to tell me he couldn’t help me and to go to ER. Knowing er can’t do anything. He didn’t give me any antibiotics nothing face is so swollen.

If I could rate this place lower, I would. I went in for a procedure (broken wisdom tooth extraction and a simple extraction of another broken molar). Upon arrival, the front staff was friendly but very busy. I got taken to my room and was about to sit down when the nurse (Kris) told me to sit down now. She asked what was being done and I told her. She was explaining that she was going to do an iv and asked how I was doing. I told her I was very fine but very nervous. She then said 'well you have a lot of tattoos...' snidely. I told her that I am not scared of the if or needles, but I'm scared of the dentist due to 2 very bad experiences. She proceeded to try to insert the if and couldn't find the vein. I went on to tell her that I give blood regularly due to my blood type of O+, and she asked where they normally took blood, told her exactly where then she went to place the iv in my hand (not where I told her btw but I understand that decided on that location due to prominence of my veins. As she was doing this, I attempted small talk, told her I was about to start nursing school this fall and that I'm scared to learn ivs bc I don't want to hurt people. The dentist came in, was very rushed and very short. I received iv sedation and faded out. When I came to, I was informed it was done. I asked if both were removed because I kept feeling a piece of my tooth in there. I told the nurse and she argued that it wasn't part of my tooth bc she took an xray afterward. As I was being walked out the door, said again I still felt part of the tooth and the nurse got very short and rude, and said there is nothing there bc she did an xray. I told her I understand But I still feel part of it. She signed and told me very rudely to go sit back down. She told the dentist in a very snide and condescending voice that I 'think' I still feel part of my tooth. He said Its probably the guaze, I told him it was NOT gauze and he even rechecked the xray. He finally looked in my mouth and I showed him with my tongue what I was feeling. He played it off like it was normal saying that the tooth was so decayed that it was hard to tell if he got it all. As he was pulling this piece out, a part of my lip was being pinched between my teeth and his hand and I flinched (naturally), the nurse then hit my leg and told me that all I'm feeling is pressure and there's no need to kick my leg. I didn't even try to explain that it was because my lip got pinched. As I walked out to get in the can with my grandfather, she handed me a bag and told my grandfather that she highlighted the parts on that aftercare that pertains to me and sent me on my way. I got home and rested and woke up a few hours later to jaw pain and pain when swallowing (normal for an extraction, especially a wisdom tooth). Took OTC pain meds and went about relaxing the rest of the day. Fast forward to today, still pain (not unbearable). Looked and seen I missed a call from the dentist office and called back. The lady asked how I felt and told her it was painful but that I am fine. She asked if I am taking my pain meds as scheduled and I informed her that I was not prescribed any, she looked at my chart and told me to hold on. This time nurse Kris answered the phone and asked what was going on so I told her the same thing I told the first lady, that I was fine but hurting but that I'm ok. Her response 'well you're extractions were easy and you shouldn't need any pain pills', told her I was taking OTC pills and she said again 'well houses were easy so there shouldn't be much pain and that they don't prescribe pain pills to just anyone'. I told her for the 323rd time that I was returning a call that was made to me, not me calling asking for pain pills. She was very short and rude and made it sound like she didn't believe me at all. I hung up. I have never had anyone in that profession be so rude and so short with me and make me feel like I am out looking for pills. I never asked for them. I WILL NEVER go back just due to her attitude and the way she spoke to me. Very disappointed. If I could rate this place lower, I would. I got there at 12:15 for a 12:30 appointment with my father. At 1:00 p.m. I was informed that Sheets and Begley schedules their appointments a half hour before the appointment. We sat in their office for 45 minutes before being seen by the doc. Apparently, their time is more valuable than mine. I'd advise going a half hour later than the the time they give you.
