BEWARE OF THIS GUY Dr Rowland placed an implant in my mouth and he "flapped" my gums open disrupting the gum tissue on neighboring teeth. He placed the implant that I was later told by multiple periodontists was too big and only partially placed in bone. He built up the area over the partially placed implant with morphogenic bone material. I have since been told by multiple periodontists that this is not the way it's done. Dr Rowland did multiple steps at once, which I believe he thinks is advanced, but I clearly recognize as cutting corners that you don't want to cut. To make a long story short, it became badly infected (just like another one of the reviewers). And I payed thousands to have Dr Rowland clean it out. He left me with a partially exposed implant (not surrounded by bone), and in the process I lost a lot of gum tissue that he hacked out without even acknowledging it to me. He offered to operate again and pull my gum tissue down. That was his entire treatment plan! He also offered to do it for free. NO WAY. This guy is never touching my mouth again. I went to a different periodontist and I am so happy I did. She cleaned out the infection Dr Rowland left behind and removed his faulty implant. I got into it on the phone a couple times with Dr Rowland, who still thinks he did great work. He offered to return half of my fees at one point but has not. As you can see this is a big mess. I've never hated a doctor before, but this guy put me through hell. If you go see Dr Rowland all I can say is good luck, I hope you fare better than I did. I'd love to see stats on what percentage of his patients wind up with infections. I'd be willing to bet its high.
