Dr. Randy Owen Mauffray

I had my appointment with him. He's so kind & respectful. I would trust him for any eye surgery needed. I highly recommend him for all your eye care.

Dr. Mauffray is great. I was nervous about my 1 year old sons surgery. Dr. Mauffray explained everything very well and made us feel more comfortable. Surgery went smooth and we are so grateful we decided to go with Dr. Mauffray.

Everyone was very professional and polite, waiting time was very short.

Dr. Mauffrey was able to tell me exactly what I was in store for and he delivered. I can see clearly now. I have both eyelids back to normal. He did a beautiful job on my surgery.

Dr. Mauffray is amazing. I encountered several roadblocks which caused my surgery being postponed twice, but Dr. Mauffray and his team, especially his Coordinator Lucy, were graciously helping me go through with it and had a successful surgery. I was awake for most of the surgery which he informed me beforehand. He was carrying out the procedure so swiftly that I felt peaceful while laying on the table with my eyes open. The result is amazing and the improvement is awesome. I would recommend Dr. Mauffray to anyone that needs help with their eyes.

Dr Mauffray used lazer on upper and lower eyes. I was very nervous. Dr. Mauffray explained as he worked on me, putting me at ease. I am so pleased with his manner and his expertise. I certainly recommend Dr Mauffray.

My surgery went very well. Staff very friendly, especially one named Brett. Everything was explained to me in advance.

I was very pleased w/his overall procedure. I was so impressed during my follow-up to read his background history. He’s such a humanitarian volunteering his time to go do field work to help in other countries. Dr Mauffray that says a lot about his reputation. . Awesome surgeon

Very through with good "bedside manners". Discussed a variety of options prior to surgery. Explanations were clear and concise.

Everyone was pleasant, and wait time was minimal. Dr. Mauffray is an excellent doctor and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

He’s a great Dr. He listens and has great respect for the patient. Very skill and knowledgeable. I have a lot of trust in him.

I visited for an evaluation due to my puffy eyes. I was impressed because the doctor was honest and advised me that the insurance company wouldn’t cover the surgery because it would be considered cosmetic. He did offer options to me for getting the surgery done. At this time, I am undetermined re: having anything done.

Dr. Mauffray is the best occu plastic in San Antonio. For months I had a blocked tear duct n he cleared that up for me. No scar no pain. Great bedside manner.

The office/reception area is very unclean. There was a terrible smell. I asked the receptionist about it and she said that they were having bathroom issues or it could be the smell from the thanksgiving feast they were having. I was finally called to the back and was seated right next to the restroom where the issues were. Once I was in another room for an eye exam by the MA, I was told I would have to go back to the waiting area and it would still be a while before being called to see the doctor. I left, waiting an hour in the dirty smelly waiting area was enough for me, I wasn’t going to go back out there and wait another hour or more.

He’s very knowledgeable nice and respectful. Answers questions throughly and not rushed. Explains what needs to be done so that you can understand it.
