I can't say how good of a doctor Dr. Longobardi is since I never got to see him. I showed up to my appointment at his Newport, Jersey City office only to be told he was in surgery that day. Nobody called to reschedule me and I had rearranged my workday for this appointment. I was rescheduled for 11 days later. Then they called to reschedule me again because he would be in surgery again and this time the next available appointment would be 18 days after my originally scheduled appointment. The office needs better organization for scheduling appointments and if they do need to reschedule you, they should be more accommodating and considerate of your time. I have found a different doctor to see.

I highly recommend Dr. Longobardi to anyone with a shoulder (or any other) issue that may require expert assessment and possible surgery. Dr. Longobardi is a consummate professional and his staff is 1st rate from top to bottom. I had a significant tear in my rotator cuff and 2 tears in my labrum. Dr. Longobardi quickly and accurately diagnosed the issues, gave expert advice and helped lead me to the correct choice. I had surgery quickly and am already back in the gym lifting weights and getting back to my life. THANK YOU!!!!

My family has gone to Dr. Longobardi for three different issues with great results. He is thorough and caring. Explains things in a manner that is easy to understand. The end results have always been positive. I checked numerous reviews on Orthopedic doctors in the area before going to him. I don't think you will find a better Ortho doctor for your needs. First receive a preliminary exam from a trained staff member, then XRAYs, and then a discussion and exam with Dr. Longobardi. Yesterday was my first visit with Dr. Longobardi who I felt was very thorough, professional and caring. The staff is also very nice. I would highly recommend them from my first visit.

In for knee pain. Explained why and how this became an issue. Trusted seen Dr Longobardi for other issues, as well as other family members.

Dr. Longobardi provided me with excellent care during my appointment. He spent 20-25 minutes reviewing my x-rays and MRI with me and thoroughly explaining the results. He answered all my questions. His superb clinical knowledge and easy-going manner were very appreciated. I am completely satisfied with the care I received from Dr. Longobardi and his staff.

I can not recommend Dr. Longobardi enough. He is a brilliant surgeon that has been patient, understanding, caring highly knowledgeable and amazing with explaining the process of my surgeries. I came to Dr.Longobardi with an infection in my knee that had a knee replacement. He was willing to perform both surgeries that entailed removing the prosthetic and putting in a spacer for 9 weeks and then another knee replacement. Obviously a very long and painful process. I am getting ready now for my 2 nd surgery- which is the knee replacement and as much as I dread the surgery I am confident I picked the right surgeon and left hospital for special surgery. Dr. Longobardi and his staff are excellent. He has great bedside manner. He is attentive, caring, knowledgeable, patient and supportive. He makes me feel so comfortable, calm and well cared for. Both Dr. Longobardi and his staff goes the extra mile to make sure that his patients are taken care of. His office manage Leida, his secretary Wendy and Keisha ( his Radiology Technician) are amazing. Lieda is always supportive and available to help me , no matter how busy she is. Great experience today. It started and ended with the office staff. Greeted professionally and happily upon arrival, no wait to be seen, medical staff all very professional and friendly. Had a couple questions I forgot to ask when in the office, but when I called was given all the answers I needed and an email with information I requested. Dr. Longobardi and his staff were wonderful. From the receptionist to the nurse and Dr. Longobardi himself, the entire visit was quick, efficient, and pleasant (well as pleasant as knee pain can allow). I’d absolutely recommend this office.

First, Dr. Longombardi is a great doctor. After less than two weeks following my shoulder arthroscopy, with some daily exercises, i feel that I am well on my way to recovery. Second, the entire office culture is far better than what i ever experienced in a health industry, where I always felt that it was a business transaction first, my health second. Not here. Dr. Longobardi has incredible bed side manners and so professional. I find the time he takes to care for his patients rare in many practices, although I have been lucky to find a few the last 38 years in Bergen County of which many are retiring due to age. He listened to me patiently and showed me my xray explaining with such patience so I understood.He explained everything so calmly and put me at ease. He was kind, gentle and did not rush as if you were at a check out counter as some make you feel these days. I would recommend him in a heart beat. Dr Longobardi has treated me several times after several sports related injuries. He has also treated members of my family and several of my friends whom I referred to him. In all cases the results were outstanding. He is a great listener, explains your unique situation and is very conservative in his approach. Much to my surprise several of my injuries were treated very successful through non surgical techniques. On the occasions I have needed surgery my surgeries have always turned out far better than expected and my recovery to full athletic activities occurred faster than I anticipated. His office staff are the absolute best which is consistent with everything else about his practice and my experiences under his care. Very rude receptionist...The lady answering the phone doesn't want to help you, nor did she want to listen to my problem. ALSO has an attitude! Adding to that, has zero patience and understanding. I work in a medical office as well and I just saw this as unprofessional. Will not recommend this office to people I know.

Dr. Longobardi is one of the most knowledgeable, compassionate and dedicated physicians I have ever met. Despite the fact that his waiting room is full to the brim, he will not make you wait, nor rush you out. I can honestly say that he is the type of doctor you need to see if you ever had a bad experience with the medical profession.

My son went to see Dr, Longbardi on Friday, 10/13/17, with a work related injury to his shoulder. Medically the doctor is phenomenal. Getting paperwork was a little bit of an issue. It took a little longer than expected to get "the letter" back that would enable my son to return to work. I am sure this was an isolated incident.

Dr. Longobardi took the time to walk me through everything he was doing and explained every detail of the issue I went in for. I really learned some things during my exam. He is very knowledgeable and it is super convenient having imaging machines right in the office.

Dr. Longobardi performed shoulder replacement on my left shoulder a year ago. He was through, attentive and funny throughout my rehabilitation. I just saw him for my last checkup and I no longer have any pain and can use my arm again! I will continue to recommend him to my friends.

My daughter Nicole has been treated by Dr. Longobardi for about a year now and I must say it has been a great experience. Doctor is very professional, explains all the procedures with details, and I am very fortunate that because of his help my daughter is recovering well. I would highly recommend him to all my friends. Dr. Longobardi was extremely knowledgeable. He listened carefully to what I had to say. The x-rays were done in the same office, and the examination took place quickly and very efficiently. The doctor was able to diagnose what the problem is during that initial visit. An MRI is needed to verify the extent of the problem; that too was scheduled very quickly, along with the follow-up visit. First time at the office, I found the staff to be very friendly & professional, from helping fill out paperwork to taking X-rays. Dr.Longobardi went over Xrays with me and gave step by step procedures that we will follow with regards to my knee issues. I am very impressed with the Doctor & his staff.

Dr Longobardi found my labrum tear in my right shoulder that was not detected on my arthrogram report! I have trusted him with my entire family as well. Comforting and informative, I could not have been in better hands! And his staff is welcoming and so helpful...

As a patient of Dr. Longobardi's for 21 years, I trust his word over everyone else's. I travel 180 miles round trip for his guidance and care. I have looked for closer Dr.s with 0 luck in finding someone to listen and care enough to think out of the box to fix an active 38 year old who has had 7 surgeries and needs a knee replacement. After being told by 3 different Dr.s in the Philly area that I just have to live with it, off to Longobari I went. 2 visits in and we already have a treatment plan
