Great experience. Didn't have to wait long. Very positive staff. Dr. Rusynyk answered all my questions and spent time listening .

My husband's scope went great. No complications at all. We haven't had an issue with the actual doctor, it's his office! I have been trying to pay the bill. My husband called and made a payment toward the bill, on a Friday. I didnt receive an updated statement reflecting that payment. I called on a Friday to pay the remainder of the bill off. There is only one person who handles billing for him, and I was told they don't work on Fridays and that she would call me back, which is weird since my husband was able to make a payment on a Friday. She never called me back. Then, literal months after the first payment, I receive a new statement showing our payment. It also states they will charge my card on file for the remaining balance if I don't pay. I tried calling on a Monday and was told they don't work Monday and to call back. Called back today, a Friday, and the office is closed at 3:45PM when the statement says they are open til 5. Make it so I can pay online or something, please.

I had an upper and Lower GI series, The Hosp was wonderful, everything went fine, but Dr. Rusynyk was to meet with me or call me and he still has done so. Procedure done on the 9th of Oct, and here it is the 23rd of Oct. Was told he had to check the rest of the results, still no call. Loved his nurse, but as far as Dr. Rusynyk, he did not take the time with me and explain everything. He is the only Dr. here in Gastroenterology in Destin, Sacred Heart Hosp was great. One needs a Dr. to speak about there condition and what to do about it. I give him a rating of poor, the hosp 5 stars and nurses. Not good.

Dr. Rusynyk has been my gastrologist for several years. I like him and his PA, Susan. His office staff is a hindrance to effective care, in my opinion. I realize they are busy and put up with rude people. But that doesn't give them the right to be curt, unconcerned or unhelpful to sick, scared patients. It would be terrific if you could get to Susan or Dr. Rusynyk via messages left with the staff.

I was a patient for many years and am very confused and little angry right now. After my gall bladder removal I was still sick w nausea and diarrhea 5 mos. later. I called the office in March 2020 and was told that the office was closed due to Covid 19 and that they did not know when they would see patients again. I saw my primary care provider and she told me she had done all she could and that I needed to see another Gastro ASAP as I was fatigued, nauseous, and had lost 55 lbs because I could not eat. She referred me to someone and I set an appt as I was really sick and needed help. A few days ago I phoned Dr Rusynyk for an appt to follow up and I was informed that Dr Rusynyk had closed out my case and dropped me as a patient because I had chosen to see another Gastro. I explained that w Dr Rusynyk closed I had no other choice because I was so sick at the time and needed some medication. What was I expected to do, just suffer and wait until they reopened? Draw your own conclusions.

VERY RUDE STAFF. Teresa tried to force me to give my ssn over the phone for a TriWest (VA) referral appointment. Never had to do that before, didn't have to do it for any other Triwest appt. If a doctor lets such a person represent him, I probably don't want to go to that doctor. So I filed a complaint through Triwest and looking for a different referral doctor.

Great doc!. Waited about 30 mins. no problem. It's longer at my family doc. He took the time to discuss my concerns and answer my questions. His staff was helpful & respectful. Thankful to have found a good, caring doctor.

RUN......Most arrogant doctor I have ever met. Unwilling to address patients concerns in reference to invasive procedures nor will he be open minded to look in other directions to help with the patients history and concerns. Dr. Rusynyk was more concerned about law suits then about my ability to tolerate an invasive procedure. Since I would not have the procedure he dropped me as a patient to have to find another doctor.

Poor information from staff. Ended up costing me double because I had to see another Doctor after staff completely misled me.

I had an appt with dr. Saw the PA, which I had no problem with except she could not address the main reason for my appt so she tried schedule a colonoscopy so at least I got something for my visit. After I explained that my insurance wouldn't pay because it was too soon AND that was not why I was there, she agreed to run some blood work. It's been over a month and I still haven't heard back and both PA's are gone. I called and the person that answered said the Dr still hadn't looked at it.

The doctor and assistant is great. The main person at the front desk/phone has the personality of a stone with barbs. Consistently condescending and rude. Never friendly. Don't let that deter you from the doctor, though. Get past the crypt keeper and you'll be fine.

Had procedure done and there was absolutely no follow-up phone call or visit. I believe if you make an appointment to see the doctor that is who you should see, not a PA. I have great respect for PAs, but should have been informed that was who I would be seeing when making the appointment.

Dr Rusynyk is an excellent doctor -- highly intelligent and easy to talk with. His straightforward and calm demeanour makes you feel like he is completely focused on you and really listening. His staff is just as impressive and, like the doctor, highly professional while being friendly, supportive and eager to help.

I've worked with him in the operating room. He is excellent, very detail orientated and knows what he's doing. He takes his time during the procedure to be sure he sees all that he needs to see. I wouldn't hesitate going to him or recommending him to anyone.
