Dr. Rashmi Acharya

One thing I regret in my life is going to these three set of stupid doctors. My child has a life threatening birth defect which was not diagnosed during my pregnancy or at birth when I was induced labor. My kid and our family are going through a lot because of these money making doctors. After a couple of months of birth when my child was admitted to the same hospital the doctors were amazed as to why was this missed during my pregnancy. They are 3 of them and hardly remember you when you visit as ther are dealing with lot of patients. Their staff is very unprofessional and rude especially one special lady. They once gave me expired prenatal and sent me home and later called and apologized. Save your and your child’s life by not going to them!

I have been a patient of Dr. Acharya’s, for almost 18 years! Cannot say enough good things about her!! She is thorough, patient and super attentive/sensitive towards any concerns/questions you have. I see her in the North Brunswick office, and have to give a shout-out for ALL the front desk staff as well. The office is ALWAYS so very busy but even thru phones ringing off the hook at all times the front desk try their best to accommodate you and your requests. Service with a smile. I have recommended the practice to several of my friends and family and everyone has only got great things to say all around! Two thumbs up all around!

One of the worst customer service staff at plainsboro office. Un professional, attitude & useless staff. Please avoid this location.

This location should shut down! Rude staff! UNPROFESSIONAL. All the 5 star reviews are probably from doctor's family.

COMPLAIN TO THE NEW JERSEY STATE MEDIAL BOARD !!! The front desk staff did not release medical records of my wife who needed them for a MEDICAL EMERGENCY in over 48 hours despite 10+ phone calls. They insisted my wife physically come into the office to pick up the records so they could bill my wife for a visit when my wife was in EXTREME pain! I would highly recommend Dr Rashmi and Dr Nuttaki.best gynecologists in the town.

I last visited Dr. Acharya in July 2020 for my annual checkup and after coming home i had a question to ask Dr. Acharya. I contacted the front desk and requested them to convey my message to Dr. Acharya. For 4 months no reply came. After that i called 2 times more and requested for a call back. Every time they said that she is too busy to call but will call within a week. Every time it is the same answer and i am still waiting for her call. I feel frustrated and sad that after being her patient for last 10 years i did not expect this.

For all my high risk pregnancies she was there for me. Dr. Acharya is best and she knows how to make you calm. she is very compassionate and i love her and i am a big fan of her.

The staff is the worst! My wife was in extreme pain and they would not give her medical records to go to get emergency care. We called 10+ times during 48 hours during emergency and the staff REFUSED to send OUR medical records that we have a legal right to. COMPLAIN TO THE NEW JERSEY STATE MEDICAL BOARD!

The front desk staff won't release your medical records during emergencies. They expect you to come in and pick up the medical record, even if you are in an ER

The Dr. was rushing through my consult with her. I didn't get a chance to open up better. She now said she apologizes for the rush because of too many patients to be seen. You shouldn't have booked in so much than you can handle. Well, I will not be going back.

Getting a appointment when needed is not possible at this place. Both, Dr Acharya and Dr Nutakki, are super awesome. Highly Recommend both doctors.

Note : 5 Stars are only for Rashmi's team not for front desk guys. Front desk support you have 2 ladies one who is very senior she is very rude with my wife couple of times and on 3rd and 4th time when i was personally talking to her for some issue she is very disrespectful with me and also she hung the phone on face without resolving my query. Both the doctors are very knowledgeable, polite and kind. They take their time to hear you out and answer all your concerns. Specially dr. Acharya very understanding and sweet. I went for dr. Acharya specifically on recommendation but ended up with dr. Nutaki, who was equally great. The staff however, at plainsboro, is the opposite of the doctors. I took care transfer late in my pregnancy to dr rashmi acharya.She is amazing.i did not have to worry about any test or treatment.She pays close attention on patient and does not miss anything.she takes time to answer all questions.I was assure that my baby is in safe hands.there was always on call dr. to help me after office hours.Dr acharya is one of the best ob/gyn in NJ in my opinion. I absolutely love Dr. Acharya and the practice she works with, everyone is so compassionate and open. Dr Acharya delivered my second baby my only wish is that I found her for my first as well. She is caring and takes her time with everyone.

The best Doctor Ever. Dr Rashmi knows what she is doing , explains very well, very caring. she is highly efficient in high risk pregnancies and She goes well and beyond anything to give the care for her patients. She took care of me as her own family and made me feel that i am well cared.

I am writing this review based on my first visit to plainsboro office, staff won't respect the patient. If you are indian forget about respect. They don't know how to speak with patients, they treat you as if you don't pay them and you are taking free treatment. Doctor is good but only because of the staff I am changing my doctor.

Office staff with literally no brains..!!!

I could give 5 stars for the both the Dr’s. But the staffs at the desk are not so friendly. They never bother to smile or speak kind. Anyways it’s the treatment from Dr’s at the end.

Lets break this down- the doctor is great - compassionate, knowledgeable, calm, professional and efficient. (Same goes for Dr. Nutakki who also practices out of the same office). The office staff- *shivers* are at the best of times okay to work with. The scheduling is insane as is the wait time (average over 30 minutes). You have to be pro-active to get results on lab work and paperwork so that your work gets done. The North Brunswick location has gotten tonnes better as far as their tone and interaction with patients. The Plainsboro office staff is a bit of joke- rude and unprofessional- makes me feel I walked in uninvited to a private party! So why would you go to see this doctor? She's hands down the most experienced practitioner in town (and by that I mean NY/NJ). She knows when a condition requires extreme care and when it's 'normal'. You have to make sure you communicate- speak up and tell her what you're feeling and thinking and she'll have the right answer. She encourages you to consult a specialist if you feel like but in most instances the specialist has little to add to what Dr. Acharya has already advised you on. I LOVE Dr. Acharya. Had my 3 babies with her. Very professional, knowledgeable and genuinely care. A beautiful person inside out.

The doctor seems very smart. But, doesn't talk much. I couldn't meet her after the c-section at all. The office is not so clean and stuffs are rude. I am having difficulty transferring my records. They don't send them and when I call they behave like it's my fault. But, they were very fast to take money for it.

Dr. professional, knows what she's doing, very experienced especially for high risk cases, practical, calm and efficient. Office staff- the worst!! Unprofessional, rude, obnoxious, inefficient, don't follow-up and make the entire process more frustrating than it should be. Wait time- 30 plus minutes on a good day. 60 plus minutes average. Word of advice- use the No. Brunswick office as often as you can- longer wait times but the staff has improved in the past 5 years. Plainsboro office- help!

Only Dr.Rashmi is good and professional. Dr..Nuttaki do not pay attention to reports and will send you for the test that you dont even need.I had a Very horrible experience with Dr.Nuttaki. Please be aware and ask for Dr.Rashmi only.

I wish I could give a zero star here . Office staff is the most sluggish of all. This is my second pregnancy so I know how other doctors treat their patients . The first visit Dr Nutthaki forgets to give me prenatanal , when I come back home and call the doctor office the staff says " oh the doc might have forgotten please. One again and take the prenatal or take over the counter " . I was having pain and the doctor even without checking asked to give sample for UTI . Are they gods that they know everything will be fine with me and my baby ????? Since the pain didn't go down 2nd day I went again and had a check up . I asked to hear the heartbeat the doctor says for every pain we can't make you hear the heart beat " you will be fine " . Dr. Acharya is amazing ! Throughout my wife's pregnancy and through delivery, she's been a miracle worker . My wife had a c-section for our first child and with Dr.Acharya we were able to have a normal delivery sA. Only the best things to say for such a devoted OB-GYN.

During my vaginal delivery, I had a labia tear which she did not stitch up. She said she did something cosmetic but it did not join. She should have stitched me up considering the length of the tear. I was 9 cms dilated when I reached the hospital. She saw me and stepped out. The baby almost gushed out when she was not around. The nurse ran quickly and got the doctor. Waiting time at her clinic is too long as well.
