Raymond W. Fluke

Dr. Fluke is a VA doc. I am HOH; his voice is difficult to hear and understand. It is not helped by the facts that he does not enunciate and turns his back to type on his computer and hollers so I end up talking to his back. His eye contact is poor. He does not answer questions nor offer explanations or guidance. He wrote in my record that I had "probable xxxxx", a serious condition and never once spoke to me about it. That was unconscionable in a doctor and typical of Dr. Fluke. I have asked to always see a different doctor. The VA staff is excellent.

Dr. Fluke will answer clearly if patient asks questions and is persistent. He is an old fashioned GP type. It is unfortunate that the VA requires computerized narrative as that gets in the way of doctor-patient communiction and trust. If one asks Dr. Fluke to read back what he said to the computer, he will do that and that provides an opportunity to talk WITH him instead of at his back as he types! System is not good and not the doc's fault. Apply this narrative when looking at the stars below.
