She is the best, responded so quickly to a broken wrist that needed surgery. My appointment was made for after her last appointment of the day on a Tuesday , my surgery was the next day at noon. It's amazing that a busy talented hand doctor was able to get me into surgery so quickly. Post-op care has been wonderful. I'm very sad to hear that her practice is closing in Port Angeles. Hopefully she will open somewhere else in the Pacific Northwest and I will be able to follow her.

Dr. McGovern has abdicated her medical decisions to her poorly trained administrative staff. Six days after a very stressful exam I had to chase her down for results! Her office staff would only make an appointment a week later for results! This sounds like insurance churning! If it is serious, waiting another week in the dark is emotional abuse! If it is benign, a simple call from the doctor would have been appreciated. Now 48 hours later I still have yet to her from the doctor. Never, ever would I let this person cut on me!

As a retired RN, I am VERY picky about my choice of physicians. Having observed Dr. McGovern's treatment of my friends when accompanying them to her office, I did not hesitate to put my hand under her scalpel. She is professional but friendly -- by NO means rude. Her practice is a busy one, so time is not wasted on idle chit-chat. It is used, instead, to listen, answer all questions, and to explain her planned procedure. The care I was given and the outcome of my surgery were EXCELLENT!

Her work on my wrist was ideal. I was well cared for during, before and after surgery. There will not be much of a scar I can already tell. She listens, responds and cares about her patients. I cannot imagine what another reviewer means about her being rude. I have never experienced that in her care of me and am happy to have her doing my second surgery.

This MD was by far the rudest and most unprofessional physician I've ever experienced. A complete waste of time and money.

Really great bedside manner. Explains health issues well. Will need to use her again for my other hand and have no regrets.

I believe the surgery done by Dr McGovern is as good as the best surgery that I have had done in the past 15
