Dr. ESPAILLAT is a great psychiatrist. He is knowledgeable, a good listener, and prescribed the medication that worked . I would recommend him for anyone who needs psychiatric help.

I love Dr. Espillat and although I have not dealt directly with his office prior to this year, he and his staff have been amazing with me. I do Tele Health with him and he is so accommodating, and his assist is just awesome and always willing to help!

They "accidentally overbooked appointments" on the day I was supposed to go in, I've had my appointment for weeks and they told me the day of. Now they're telling me I have to wait 20 days for my appointment. They won't consider you a priority so don't even bother!

Dr. Ricardo K. Espaillat is incredible. Not only has he taken great care of my mental health, but, "also which it’s rare to find" a doctor that combines such personal care for his patient as a person with outstanding quality of mental medical care. I highly recommend becoming his patient!

Unfortunately recommended by my child’s insurance. He does not listen to the issues or concerns of his patient or parent of child. Just prescribes whatever he is use to using with everyone, it seems like. I would never recommend him for anyone needing help.

This practice is the worst place to take your love one. Dr Espaillat has very little knowledge about psychology or even psychiatric, his medical approach is very limited and the only good thing he is an expert is when it comes to prescribe expensive medications without having proper analysis and serious studies of the patient, his more interested in having the patient isolated and under the influence of hard psychiatric medications and having no room for alternative programs and keeping family relatives under the idea that the patient is been taken care. Since 0 stars is obviously not an option I'm going to give one star for about how clean the carpeting is... No idea where to start with this doctor. The only way I could get him to listen to what I needed was to involve my mother when I was over the age of 18. Never asked me if I was okay with taking medications He would only ask my mother if I would be okay with it. when I asked multiple times to be taken off of any medication he would not listen to me until I brought my mother into tell him herself. The doctor really listened to me about my son and recommended therapy and meds for him. The office staff is friendly and very helpful. I am very happy with everyone here. The therapist that works there is also amazing my son loves her. Thank you all so much!

Dr. Espaillat is a psychiatrist that really cares about his patients. He calls me every week to see how I am doing. He is a kind man and seeing him has changed my life. I no longer feel the despair I once did and he is easy to talk to. Andrea runs the front office and she is very good at it.

I saw some of the reviews but decided to give Dr. Ricardo a visit because his offices are close to my house. I have visited several times with little waiting. He is thoughtful, meaning he takes the time to know a patient by asking thorough questions. He is good with young people because he speaks softly and is kind. He is truly an expert He is gifted and the most decent, kind, and caring doctor I have ever known. worst place ever!!!!!! Doctors have no experience and especially the supervisor. They have absolutely no empathy towards there patients. They all lack massive knowledge. I have never had more anxiety than trying to get an answer from the office when you call. I have gone with out my medication because of it and when I get in to see the dr, he claims he never knew or got any messages and apologies and then it happens again. I give 1 star because it wont let me choose 0. I had a dr appt scheduled for my 11 year old daughter for 5 weeks and we show up to the appt on time to fill out necessary paperwork. Little did i know, the office cancelled her appt without notifying me and said i cancelled it!!! What???? Why would i cancel my daughters first time appt ? Doesnt make any sense. This was the ONLY dr that would take her before July without having her bakeracted. The only one!!! They made me wait 5 weeks to be seen only to cancel the appt without telling me. I first went to Dr. Ricardo in search of getting set up with some therapy to see how that helped my anxiety. I got to his office 15 mins before my appointment and he didn't show up to the office until 45 mins AFTER my scheduled appointment time. He already had about 10 people waiting on him for the same appointment slot. I was a new patient so he took everyone ahead of me so that he could give them a "check up" and re-up their prescriptions. After an hour and 40 minutes I finally saw Dr. Ricardo. He spent 30 minutes with me, asking pretty generic questions and I told him I was there for therapy. He ignored what I said and instructed me to take 2 different medications to stop the anxiety. He told me to come back in 2 weeks and he would reevaluate to see about the therapy.....This is so backwards!! This office is just treating patients as a dollar sign and it is so sad the carelessness of this office giving out serious prescriptions to people that probably should not be getting them off the bat. Long waits are my only complaint.

This is the only doctor who has asked my son about his symptoms and prescribed a medication that actually works for him. Have had the same doctor for 3 years and the improvements with my son have been life changing.

my 1st appointment was at 10AM, the Dr arrived at 11:10 with a waiting room full of people, at least 3 with 10AM appointments. The 2nd appointment was at 10:30, by 11:20 I left because I had a final exam at school, he still hadn’t arrived. Its now 3:33 and I’m waiting for my 3:00 appointment, waiting room full of people and the Dr has yet to arrive. I can’t honestly review his medical abilities, but I find his scheduling practices unprofessional and rude.

First they told me the doctor doesn't accept my insurance and to pay $150.00 after I told them he was on my provider list they checked with insurance and long behold there he was participating. I had an early morning appointment and the doctor walks in 45 minutes late. after waiting over an hour in a waiting room full of people I left. This is hands down the worst Dr. I have been to. Stay away at all costs. He will got give you medication you have been on and has proven efffective for you. Instead he will want to prescribe you what he wants, justifying you to come back frequently for dose increases etc. He will make you jump through hoops getting lab work and in the end he does what he wants regardless if he was inncorect. As a patient: I was a patient a while back. I didn't appreciate it too much. Immediately was recommended to attend group sessions 5 times a week, which is impossible for someone working full-time. After a few visits, someone interrupted my one-on-one session to give me their friend's phone number which completely violated my comfort. I stopped attending and ultimately felt like this office was taking advantage of my $0 co-payments by suggesting me to set up constant appointments to which no one was on time for. As a former patient: I've called them a total of 20 times in the last 3 days to get my medical records. I've left voicemails and provided the fax number and spoke to a lady on two separate occasions to provide a fax number. I was told I'd get it by the end of the day yesterday and received nothing. It's honestly a shame that this is the only office that accepts my medical plan in Coral Springs. If the office is understaffed, more professionals need to be hired. It's just been a consistently exhausting experience with this office with every little thing. Do not come to this office if you're tired or exhausted. They'll drain you in some fashion unless a change occurs at that office. Worst DR ever. He literally made me stay on abilify for 4 months after 1 month I told him I want off abilify he said no give it another try so after 4 months of his games I just never went back. I also remember he wanted my mom to Baker act me for having weed in my system. He literally was convincing my mom for a hour. I'm like me smoking weed isn't putting my life or no ones life in danger. And the weird thing is abilify does more harm than weed.

Ok, id like to talk about this "doctor" espaillat. Now I'll do my best to treat this in an unemotional and strictly factual assessment of said doctor. I ended up visiting this establishment after having issues with stress and depression. I was up front with him, and made him aware of all my symptoms and issues I was currently dealing with as well as problems I had dealt with in the past. As I continued working with this doctor, I began to feel uneasy and began to question his actual passion for helping people such as myself. I began to wonder why he seemed uninterested and almost robotic when dealing with patients. Was it because he was completely overbooked, and had far too many patients that he could possibly give individual care to. Well sure that's probably one of the issues, but unfortunately I have a sense that it goes much further than that, into the world of greed and disinterest in the delicate field of psychiatry. Every doctor must know that they have the power to truly save ones life, but also the power to destroy ones life. Dr. espaillat I can only assume came into the field as a young man ready to help people, and make a difference in people's lives, but as many dreamers do, he realized what he really wanted, was power and wealth. Now if I was in his position, and had a shift in my dreams, I would use what I had learned in the field of psychiatry, and create some sort of clinic and act as the CEO, not continue to grow my business yet believe that I can somehow handle all aspects of running a business with multiple locations. I'm not writing a story on the guy, so I think I'll cut it short, but I do just want to say, that I could never in good conscience recommend a doctor that has lost his grasp on his own field of medicine, and has obviously became critical of the very people he originally swore to help. I wish I had an experience to describe! Unfortunately to get through to make an appointment with Dr. Espaillat is proving to be next to impossible! Worst psychiatrist in South Florida! I have monthly appointments at 3:15, and not ONCE has he ever been on time. The closest to being on time he's ever been was 45 minutes late. And once I finally get into the room, he asks the same couple of questions every time. I wait an hour every month just to answer the same 5 questions, so I can get the prescriptions I need. Stay away. He will have you coming in once a month to get medication which is not necessary. I found another doctor who gave me 3 month refills. He said doctors are not allowed to do that which is not true. He has you coming in so he can charge the insurance company for every visit which is 15 minutes at the most.

Saw my wife said she must go to ER to get checked. I called to find out checked for what? no one had the decency to even call back. While she sat in ER getting checked the ER PHYSICIAN called to talk to the Dr and again NO return call all day. POOR ownership of patients! Was told Dr would see my wife if she enters the PHP program that was the only way and so we did that and he never really saw her. I was a new patient and the receptionist had told us the doctor would be able to see me the first day we marked the appointment when I was having an anxiety attack, but no. She had lied to us and even again for the second day saying he would be there and he wasn't. What they will do is stick you into a pointless therapy session with everyone and the doctor will not come in that day and the receptionist will just lie to you and tell you that he will be in the following day. We quit the second day we checked-in. Finally, they'll still charge you for that pointless visitation and invent a false claim to your insurance to still get paid. I highly do NOT recommend bothering with this doctor either because of his lying receptionist or that he's not responsible enough to do his job, either way he lost a patient. Usually waited 45 min to be seen, but one time was 70 min past the appointment time, and he took the person scheduled after me first even though I was technically his first patient. His office is regularly filled with people asking How much longer?. God bless the receptionist that has to have to cover for him. I wish I could get my copay back for each time I sat without 24 hrs notice of him essentially changing the appointment time- which he asks his patients to extend him.

Aweful does not return fellow physicians calls from the ER during a visit that he sent you to so to get evaluated. Wont see you unless you enter his PHP program and only then does he speak to you for 10 minutes and bills separate for that.

I would highly recommend this doctor two people looking for help with all mental illnesses and mental disorders anxiety disorders eating disorders PTSD and more. He has helped me in the past two years become a different person with his approach to treatment, techniques & medications. Ive been seen by 10 or more doctors in my past and he is the only one who took the time to listen, and he communicates so you understand everything.

I had a terrible experience while calling Dr. Richard Espaillat's office today I requested to speak with the doctor. I was never told that the doctor was not in office. But I told the receptionist the reason for my call. I was asking that the doctor use consideration and authorize a prescription to be called in to a particular pharmacy on behalf of my son who is presently away at college and out-of-state. I was told that someone would call me back. I did not get a call back so I called for the second time. After explaining again to the receptionist , the reason for the consideration , you would not believe the very rude receptionist deliberately hung up the phone.I called again, this time when I tried complaining to the office manager about the rude receptionist and told what my course of action was going to be. I was told by the manager that the doctor was not rude to me; I responded but he is responsible for the actions of his staff. He is in charge and they been rude to the patients reflects badly on him and his organization .
