Dr. Ricardo Serrano

This doctor is probably the worst in Brevard. So rude. So unprofessional. He clearly hates his job. I work in the healthcare field myself and I can tell who cares for their patients and who clearly doesn’t. They take forever to receive their patients. You will wait an hour+ before you even see the doctor. They tell you they will do something like transfer your perscriptions to the pharmacy, transfer your paperwork to another specialist etc so then you have to call them because they obviously never did it and when you do call they are rude about it. Dr Serrano himself talked to my mother on the phone one time and had an attitude and hung up the phone on her. His WIFE the RECEPTIONIST is just as rude. It just adds to all of this mess. To whoever is reading this that is seeking a doctor i promise you any doctor other than Serrano is better..there are better doctors and staff out there. So don't waste you time with these people. *** I left this review on behalf of my mother who has always vented to me about this office and who has called me in tears so I went with her to the office to see for myself which is why I am leaving this review ..I AM NOT A PATIENT. She has since left and found an amazing doctor and staff. Thank you

!!!!! *We were warned by the DOCTOR on the first appointment!* The doctor is a good doctor but due to the receptionist/wife we will not be returning. This is a 80 year old patient and how she was treated is not okay! The receptionist was so rude and didn't let me speak, she kept talking over me and she would then continue to hang up in the middle of me talking which is so unprofessional. They had the bloodwork results for over a week, almost two weeks with no call back. I asked to leave a voicemail for the doctor considering what the receptionist was telling me is different than what the doctor said on my last appointment and I know for a fact they have the results because I have them, she then proceeded to say "I don't care what the doctor says this is what I'm saying" which she has no qualification to tell the patient what to do considering she is just a receptionist. Dr Serrano is the most thorough and compassionate physician that I have ever been to. Whenever I am ill his wife gets me in the same day. They are a true family practice with a caring attitude towards their patient’s care. This is rare in today’s world. I highly recommend Dr Serrano.

I love coming in here- even when my health isn't the best. Dr. Serrano always breaks down my questions and worries. The care here is WELL WORTH THE WAIT. I never feel rushed and if I ever have any questions, the staff is always helpful. If you want a doctor to care for you as if you were family, come to Dr. Serrano. My mother has been a patient with this doctor for a little while now and the entire office is absolutely HORRIBLE. The women in the office are so RUDE and act like their patients are a huge inconvenience, particularly, Mrs. Serrano (his wife!). It is appalling to fathom a place that is supposed to HELP people and instead treats them so rudely. My mother who is in immense pain was trying to speak to Mrs. Serrano and she dismissed her like a peasant. The actual Dr. Serrano is also no good. He prescribed my mother adderall (a stimulant) and she has a heart murmur, he then told her not to tell her cardiologist about this- WHY?!? He also forgets to check important things, like my mom's ears. She has vertigo, a huge source of pain for her, and the man forgets to check that. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awful, just awful. Avoid at all costs. Would give zero stars if I could. The office is an absolute disaster- poorly run, does not return calls, does not enter referral authorizations when they say they will (even after repeated calls), does not know how to work with Tricare even though they are supposedly in-network. I would like to give Zero stars. This doctor does not listen to me as a patient. He has twice failed me. The first time because of his lack of care i continued to dehydrate and ended up in the hospital. This weekend as a covering doc he repeatedly yelled at me and recited fla drug policy. I do not understand all of these reviews. I have been a patient of Dr. Ricardo Serranos for over 12 years.. I've stayed with him even when I had other insurance and Paid out of pocket, HE is Just that GOOD ! He is the most compassionate, caring person and TRULY cares for each and every patient, sure the wait is sometimes longer BUT that's only because HE takes his time with each patient, is never in a rush and makes sure you understand everything before you leave. His bedside manners are impeccable and into the wee hours of the morning, I know because he always follows me in the hospital as well, no hospitalist sees Dr. Serrano's patient as he cares for us himself always !! This doctor's office has a different feel to it than any of the other doctor's offices I have been in. The family practice and tight-knit workplace is obvious and the staff is compassionate and efficient. The doctor answers all of my questions every time I am there and is great at following me through my hospital at the Cape. I heard that he is one of the few doctors left that are private and also have access to private patients at Rockledge Regional Medical Center and at Cape Canaveral Hospital. Now that's something else! If you're looking for a doc, this is the place! Words can’t describe how amazing this practice is. It is family run and you can tell that each of the Serranos genuinely care about you. Dr. Serrano is incredible knowledgeable and takes the time to answer any and all of your questions. If you want a doctor that puts you first, then I highly recommend you go here.

Dr. Serrano and his staff are excellent! We were here from out of town and needed a doctor. They staff was able to give us an appointment very quickly and take care of allour needs. The staff and Dr. Serrano were all very personable, friendly and attentive to all our needs. I would highly recommend them!!

I was a patient of Dr. Serrano for many years. I found him to be extremely empathetic and caring. He took the time to listen to my concerns, and to explain clearly all procedures, test results and to answer questions. His office worked with me when I did not have insurance, so that I could afford health care. If I still lived in the Brevard area, I would happily continue to use him as my primary physician.

First when we asked to reschedule they complained and said "Well next time don't be late or you can go find yourself another doctor." Yes this was our second time rescheduling but I did not expect that kind of response. Then one of them started scolding me like I was a five year old telling me to come prepared next time. Dr. Serrano loves what he does, you can tell by the way he handles himself, and treats his staff and patients. I have called early before and he answered the phones himself and was able to help meet my administrative needs... not his job, but he went out of his way to help! Very compassionate physician, ams professional office staff. You do have to wait for the appointment time, as others have stated, but that's because Dr. Serrano takes his time with each patient and doesn't leave the room until you are satisfied and cared for. I am seeing Dr Serrano for more than 15 years. Se is very compassionate and it take the time to really try to understand the paciente problems. I would recommend anybody to find on him a doctor and a friend. Some time delays are espected.

Will not honor negotiated rate with united healthcare provider. Requires full payment even though the insurance company tells me I only have to pay the provider his negotiated rate. Totally dishonest provider and is overcharging his patients. Avoid at all cost.
