I live in Poughkeepsie, but traveled to New Windsor to see this Doctor. He is really fantastic. His bedside manner is very good, and he explains what he is doing. The medical assistant is very kind and knowledgeable. The office is extremely clean and they are doing a fantastic job maintaining COVID 19 safe protocol. I was late for my appointment and the doctor still saw me, and took time with me. He is very thorough. I definitely recommend this office. The New Windsor office.

Dr De Maio is both a great listener and expert clinician. Ivanka is thorough and reassuring. I very much appreciate the exceptional medical care!

This was my first visit with Dr. DeMaio after being referred by my primary doctor. He was personable and professional. After a good conversation, he addressed my immediate issue thoroughly then identified the likely cause of some issues that I’ve been dealing with for the last three years. He outlined treatment for the cause and scheduled follow-up appointments with him and an allergist - to see if allergies are a contributing factor. I highly recommend him. He is very thorough, smart and is an excellent surgeon.

I find Dr. Demaio to be very thorough. He listens to everything I have to say about my reason for being there. After a procedure, he explains everything very clearly including what to expect in the days to come. I think he is an excellent doctor and in general, a nice guy. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Demaio and his staff were attentive and friendly. Dr. Demaio has treated my entire immediate family and if it weren't for him, I would still have undiagnosed sleep apnea and my husband would still have undiagnosed COPD. My son's both come to him as well, one for his ears and the other for sleep apnea, sinus infections and ear infections. None of us would go anywhere else. Office hours on a Saturday was a true blessing. I was even taken early.The doctor was very thorough, asked me a lot of questions about my health history, gentle during the exam, and seemed genuinely interested in getting me back to good health. Highly recommend.

Richard DeMaio, M.D. took the time out to inform me about my related complaints and addressed them accordingly, very helpful and informative, thanks again a true professional.

I came to my appointment 15 min early and was greeted by an office staff that appeared to be weary. I was given a large IPad type pad to do my check in questions which took about a half hour. I handed it to the receptionist. I then watched as people came and went. After approximately 45 minutes I saw people being called to the back for my doctor that had come and checked in way after I did. I had to mention this to the receptionist and the doctor's nurse. I was told I'd be "taken soon". After an additional 15 minutes I was called to the back and was asked the same questions that I had answered on the IPad device earlier. I waited an additional 10 minutes for Dr. DeMaio to see me. I find the wait time unacceptable in this office. I waited a total of an hour and fifteen min. To be called into the examination room. The First time my son went to this doctor we waited for over an hour to Be seen. The next appointment was canceled by the doctor, and we had to reschedule. We drove for over an hour to get to the new next appointment, and realizing that we would be late called to let them know. We waited on hold for 20 minutes and told them we would be late. When we arrived 25 minutes late we were told we would need to reschedule. We were told the doctor was behind and wouldn’t be able to see us. The bottom line is that the doctor regularly over books, and your business and time are not valued by this practice. The First time my son went to this doctor we waited for over an hour to Be seen. Office staff was cordial however I watched people come and go while I sat in the waiting room for well over an hour. Then I was brought into the exam room where I told the PA the reason for the visit. I was left in that room for more then 30 minutes. Much too long waiting. The doctor came in and was very nice, competent and listened to me before he performed his examination. Overall quality care in a clean professional office however they can't allow their patients to wait so long.

Dr. Demaio made his diagnosis while generally ignoring my input about my ailment. He changed his diagnosis from one visit to the next because he either did not remember my case or take proper notes. He did not remember the details of my condition even though my last visit was only 10 days prior. He also ordered many unnecessary tests instead of just treating my simple ailment.
