Its only been about 60 hours (in my third day after surgery) and I am doing great. With the exception of balancing the pain meds after the nerve block expired, I have had little pain and am looking forward to a great outcome! Dr Gaines gets two thumbs up from me.

Office staff very helpful and friendly. Nurses friendly and efficient. X-ray tech is good. PA was attentive. Be Bold Be Quick Be Gone All was well and good.

Dr Gaines is a God-Send. I've been in intractable pain from a surgical shoulder injury, trying to get appropriate care for months. Dr Gaines demeanor is calming, he listens without talking over the patient, is empathetic, and his timely summation of my diagnosis and the plan he suggested has finally given me light at the end of the tunnel. The very kind and inviting front and back office staff represent him well. I am very glad to have found him.

It’s been almost a year since my right knee replacement! I followed Dr Gaines directions before and after surgery. My results have been wonderful and I credit his excellence as a gifted surgeon for that. Thank you kind sir. I love him and his staff that made everything run so smoothly! Appreciate you all! ??

Took xrays and discussed what was going on and steps to take to deal with it. Was happy to know there were multiple things to try with surgery as a last resort.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gaines for many many years. He has seen me for shoulder surgery, hip, elbow, and knee issues. He is outstanding at what he does. Filling everything in on the computer at home made check in quick and smooth. All I needed to do is supply my insurance. New patient’s will need to do more. Once in, so wonderfully easy. Nice waiting area and enough for everyone to have a seat. If you are a wide person, bring a chair that is portable to sit on or stand and wait. I had to stand. That was hard due to not being able to stand long. My doctor was worth the wait in the patient’s room. Sometimes they are there rite quick but sometimes patience is needed. My doctor, Richard K. Gaines, MD, is worth the weight. He converses with you so you actually make the decision and he told me what was involved with my choice. It was a wonderful visit. I will not need him long term though. That is sad. I will never forget them so if it is required in my future, I know where and who I want. Received my first of three Orthovisc injections into my knee on 6/7/22 . Dr. Gaines did an excellent job. It was apparent that he knew exactly what he was doing. He finished before I thought he started. No pain during or after the procedure. I am very confident in Dr. Gaines skills and look forward to my next shot . Everyone in the office, including Dr. Gaines, were kind and experienced. My office visits are done in a very reasonable amount of time. I had a very good experience with them.

Tells me the problem, we discuss options, he did as I asked. Also talked about the future as well. Awesome Doctor. I want him anytime I need an Orthopaedic Doctor.

This clinic took me as a walk in and treated me as if I were a long time friend. Very friendly staff very informative doctors who took their time explaining to me what was wrong and what could help and they gave me options. I really had a good experience here.

Dr. Gaines listen to everything I said, and gathered a complete history. After a review of the problem we had a discussion of options with a timeline. A mutual agreement of MD and patient, how awesome is that.

Excellent care. Im scheduled for total knee in 5 days. Provided exercise program, therapy before surgery and surgical coordinator to assist with an questions or problems.

I visited Dr. Gaines at Twin Lakes in Daytona Beach for discussing the problem of my left knee one morning. He’s a very nice doctor. Dr. Gaines explained what’s wrong with my left knee after my left knee had X-rays. He showed me the picture of knee as he explained to me. I understood what he explained things to me thru an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter clearly because I am deaf. Thank God for an interpreter! They took x-rays the bone is not healing the way that they would like for it to there was still a lot of swelling so they put on a new cast and I’m to go back to him in three weeks. I would have liked to have seen and talk to Dr. Gaines and to have seen the x-rays of my wrist but they didn’t show it to me.

I had never thought to review my experiences concerning my knee problems and Dr Gaines along with his office staff etc. But now I began looking for surgery info, since that is where I’m heading. I did appreciate reading other’s experiences so here are mine. My knee problems have until now always been helped with cortisone shots about once a year, but no longer. A recent MRI shows a kneecap issue that no amount of injections can help. Dr Gaines , as well as his P.A. Susan have always been great about explaining everything. The wait to get in to see Doctor has never been more then a few minutes and I always fill out forms prior to my visit. Very nice talking with me understood everything ????

Dr. Gaines performed rotator cuff surgery on me 18 months ago. I am a 66 year old very active male. I surf, play tennis and work out quite often. Had slight shoulder pain and wanted to make sure everything was OK. Dr. Gaines is a calm quiet guy and takes the time to listen to you. I wanted to make sure I was doing everything I could to protect my shoulder so I could continue with my lifestyle. I highly recommend Dr. Gaines for anyone needing advice or surgery in his areas of expertise.

I have the greatest respect and trust for Dr. Gaines. He has performed bilateral knee replacement and also one hip replacement on me with excellent results. His PA, Susan, is also very competent and pleasant to deal with. While I have no problem with her seeing me on my visits, it would be encouraging to see Dr. Gaines at least every other visit.

Got me in pretty quickly. Nurse was very pleasant and informative, asked me pertinent questions and was interested in my problem. Doctor was matter of fact but did inform me of my condition and recommendations for treatment.

Dr Gaines went above and beyond to explain the minor procedure he did on me ,he also took the time to make me feel comfortable and at ease and went over all options with me . I would highly recommend him .

I was there for him to check my wrist and knee both of which were broken they did x rays and I got a shorter cast I cannot say enough about the ladies who did my x.rays and changed my cast they were caring and skillful the doctor was caring and very knowledgeable

Replaced hip 2016. Also Replaced knee for my husband. Repaired my shoulder 1997. He's known as a guru!!! Great incurring and explaining also.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Gaines , very impressive indeed!! I really appreciated the level of quality care that I received . Dr. Gaines made me feel extremely confident, as if “finally” someone was concentrating on my health and well-being. I was equally pleased with Susan Kinsey PA-C. Susan was thorough and knowledgeable, her lovely demeanor was absolutely perfect.

I left visit in tears once in my car. Dr. Gaines made me feel like he didn't want to bother with me. I need knee surgery and was told lose 50 and preferably 100 pounds first. Then rather than give me a private pay option for a gel shot he told me the shot wasn't an option because my "insurance doesn't cover it". And if the pain (already bad) gets worse "maybe" he could give me narcotics..I am sure Dr. Gaines is a competent surgeon. I just didn't have a body he wanted to work with, or the guaranteed cash for a gel shot (except I did). I left feeling scared and hopeless.

Will take the time to discuss your situation/problem, not condescending. Staff is friendly, warm, caring. Especially appreciated Covid protocols in place. Great office!

I was xrayed, then Dr. Gaines came in very stoic, told me I had a bone Spur on my knee and some arthritis. He then recommended physical therapy, but did not tell me what it would achieve. I did not feel any sense of knowing anymore when I left than before I went. Sorry to say, very disappointed.

Love Dr. Gaines he is very thorough with the exams. He doesn’t push any surgeries on you because he once to make sure that’s what you want. Waiting time in his office is very minimal! I would not go to anyone else!

Dr. Gaines has been a great pick for my shoulder surgery. Explains everything and more importantly did a great job with the surgery. The scar is healing very well and I am returning to use quickly.

I had a torn rotator, bicep tendon and two ligaments that hold shoulder blade in place after being knocked down by a dog. I was referred to Dr Gaines by my primary doctor. My experience with Dr Gaines and The Orthopedic Clinic has been very positive. The office staff were very welcoming, and proactive during Covid procedures. I dont like this dr. I feel like they are not taking me seriously about my ankle I dont feel like its sprained I feel like it's more serious than that but they only want to look at it for like 5 mins. I have been dealing with this pain in my ankle/ foot for a year.
