Richard Allen Gorman

Dr. Gorman has taken care of my elderly mother on several occasions, for different reasons, with the most recent visit to address her sore shoulder. She tried several remedies beforehand, but with no success. Dr. Gorman gave her an injection and she felt instant relief. I was worried that the pain would return, as the anesthetic wore off, but it didn't. She is so happy she can sleep through the night again and can't belief how well it worked. It is now several weeks later, and she is still pain free. He very skilled with a lot of experience. He also has a great bedside manner which makes the office visit a pleasant experience. Thank you, Dr. Gorman!

Not only was I cured but I had minimal wait time and that was because I arrived early!

I have the Cadillac of insurance providers, so to those who think the well-insured are treated better, I assure you that is not the case. Dr. Gorman is pompous at best and unethical at worst. He has his hand on the door as he tries to rush out after 5 minutes of talking to you. He is not patient-centered and does not listen. I came in already having an understanding of my issue as I saw some of the best sport medicine orthopedic docs and physical therapists in my university-centered hometown. He hardly did any movement testing with me, so I'm unsure if he understands what to look for. This is oversimplying, but he was unwilling to look at my previous imaging and instead had me come in for a 2nd visit where he was still not willing to look at imaging and referred me to a orthopedic doc that is equiped to deal with my issue, which we already knew was necessary. He makes snide comments - like when I asked what the side effects of said medication were, he responds bluntly, "oh you can die" - luckily I am not a frightful person, so he didn't cause much of a reaction in me other than to respond with "I understand all medications have risks, what are the common side effects?" Not only did he not treat me with respect, he was rude to his "help" as well and seemed fairly disgruntled. Do not waste your time going to Dr. Gorman. He literally said in one of my visits "Your just always in pain arent you?" And laughed. I saw him yesterday where all he did was have me stretch and like every other visit he tells me to go to P.T. I have it hasnt helped, he doesn't listen to the patient, today I called because my back got more aggravated and he has given me a script for simple muscle relaxers (which he offered yesterday!!!!) and he refused told me I should go to urgent care even though I have a severe auto immune disorder which is currently active. Well guess what doc I found the old muscle relaxers u prescribed me, took one and now I feel 75% better! He has a way of rushing you in and out and get his $$$ so he can bill my insurance for a visit he did absolutely nothing at. He's uncaring to patients with HMOs and I've heard him talk to the good insurance and it's a different story. I believe it's just hes like most uncaring greedy doctors who only care about the amount of money they can get and schedule so many patients at the same time that's why the visits are under 10 min. He also insulted me again yesterday by saying "so diclofenac gel works good on your back but the pills dont? That makes no sense" and gave the nurse a eye roll, so u professional! I am currently seeing an endro and they told me my GI issues could be due to me not being able to metabolize certain medications differently but he didnt even let me answer he was in too much of a rush to get me out so he can see his richer patients. Yea if your rich he prob treats u like your amazing, well it shouldn't be about that, it should be that doctors take care of all patients the same regardless of insurance type. It's sad our healthcare system has come to this. I'm changing orthos Monday. I'm not going to keep being mistreated and uncared for. I’ve seen Dr. Gorman for my left thumb. He was very professional and explained the procedure to me and the procedure was relatively painless. I highly recommend Dr. Forman for all your orthopedic needs!

I love Dr. Gorman and his nurses. They are caring, professional and took excellent care of me. I always feel better when I leave. He has the best hands - I do not feel my injections!! Thank you!!!

Sent for a hip injection without being warned that it would be in my groin !!

Just like on said on Google he doesn't care about the patient just about the money and insurance. He doesn't listen and he talks back very rudely when I have always been very kind and understanding even when he takes 5 patients at the same time and rushes in and out. But I called him today (sat) because he was on call and he just told me to go to er or urgent care when he assessed me yesterday, so did he miss something? I told him I tweaked my back and needed a simple muscle relaxer ,which he offered yesterday, but it prob takes too much of his precious time to call in a script on a sat. I found an old one he prescribed and took it today I'm 75% better because its all I needed till I see my chyro on Monday. Hes rude, dismissive and doesn't care about patients just money.

Saw Dr Gorman i was in the room when i heard him tell his nurse here comes the elbow pain girl i dont know why they sent me her & when i asked questions he was very short only was in room 5 mins i found out that i have bone deterioration from a sickness i wouldnt even give him one star

I went with so many hopes and Dr Gorman really crashed all. The feeling you have is that he really doesn't care and doesn't want to spend time with his patient. Then you understand that he is there for the fat check that he will get from your insurance and probably while talking to you is thinking about his next Mercedes and show off for younger chicks at Guanabanas. Wonderful experience.

Dr. Gorman is the worst doctor I have ever been to. He squeezed my knee so hard it bruised and I wasn’t there for my knee. I was there for my ankle. He is very rude and quite frankly I think he finds pleasure in hurting older people. He should not be practicing in my opinion. Bonnie ODonnell

Dr. Gorman saw my mother for her hip arthritis. He was extremely personable and knowledgable. He thoroughly discussed treatment options and outlined a care plan. She is now pain free. We are very grateful he was able to help her.

Saw Dr Gorman as a patient today and I am so grateful for him! He is so caring, incredibly knowledgeable and so attentive with his treatment! I saw Dr. Gorman for my hip. I feel great now! Dr. Gorman has an excellent bedside manner and he's very knowledgeable. He diagnosed my problem quickly and in one office visit I had instant relief shortly thereafter. I recommend him HANDS DOWN!

He is very knowledgeable, a straight talker, and very conservative with treatments. He tries to do what is best by you. He has a great sense of humor which makes for great bed side manner. Wait times are usually low, visits are quick and straight to the point, but he has no problem sitting down to explain things when needed. He has great follow through. His staff is kind and extremely knowledgeable. I can't say enough great things about him!

I cannot say enough about how great Dr. Richard Gorman is, he’s very caring, Straight forward with his recommendations and plan of care. He doesn’t like to cut corners and really cares about his patients and the outcome specially if you need surgery. I have seen him before for knee pain and had great results. My husband and mother have also seen him for different issues. If you are looking for the best Knee or Hip Orthopaedic in the area go to Him. Plus his staff is the best.

Would recommend Dr. Gorman to anyone that is looking for someone who is professional, sincere, and takes his time to explain their condition. Anyone looking looking for a hip or knee replacement shouldn’t think twice about going to see him, as I had my total knee surgery 3 months ago and it turned out great.

THIS DOCTOR IS VERY ARROGANT. AFTER HIP SURGERY I DEVELOPED GANGRENE. DOCTOR REFUSED TO SEE ME OR ADMITT ME TO HOSPITAL FOR SEVEN DAYS.

I do not recommend this Dr. Gorman at all. He doesn’t care about his patients. He only cares about what insurance you have.

Dr. Gorman is the worst doctor I've ever been to, and I'm been to some bad ones. In my first visit he took a personal phone call during my appointment and tried to sell me a supplement that I would have to pay him directly in cash for (not the office). The next and last appointment I had MRI results that I wanted better explained and he, a supposed orthopedic surgeon, said he doesn't know much about back and neck and didn't even look at them! That appointment was 5 minutes long, he did nothing to help me in any way, and charged my PIP hundreds for a 40 minute visit. Not only did he not help with the MRI, he told me he was prescribing "an extra-strength ibuprofen" which turned out to be a $2000 designer drug that, of course, my insurance didn't cover. Obviously some pharm. rep. has him pushing whatever that was. Stay away from him and that whole MGSF if you don't want to be scammed. Dr. Gorman was wonderful. Helped me with my hips, I feel like I have my life back. The office staff and therapy were excellent. Patrick Dr. Gorman’s assistance was very helpful.

My experience with Dr. Gorman has been superlative. He is a compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, very personable physician. Results from my surgery have been nothing short of dramatic. I recommend Dr. Gorman without reservation and continue under his excellent care.

For the few years that I have been a patient of Dr. Gorman, it has been easy to recognize his value in physician-patient relationships and patient care. He lessens any fears by creating a personable yet professional environment. I respect his conservative approach to treatment and have already referred my family and friends to him.

I would highly recommend Dr. Richard Gorman. He was extremely helpful when I was experiencing discomfort. I had been suffering with this for quite a awhile and he was very patient with me, I had many questions and he took the time to address each question and gave me answers that I could understand. I highly suggest you pay Dr. Gorman a visit. He truly is the best, although I hope to not have to see him anytime soon, at least not for medical reasons. 5 stars!

Gr. Gorman did my complete knee replacement. Prior to the operation he explained the procedure in detail and the anticipated recovery and rehab time. Everything went perfect! The operation was a complete success. I had regularly scheduled apps and x-rays were taken at each visit. I followed his suggestions carefully and consistently. I just had my one year check up. Dr. Gorman was very pleased with my knee's flexibility and so am I! I am extremely pleased with Dr Gorman's care and expertise!

His office called me to ask if I could come in earlier than my 10:30 scheduled appointment time. I arrived at 9:50. It's 11:17 and I'm still waiting to be seen, and the exam room smells like urine. I know he's a good doctor but service is just as important. I'll likely not return.

Missed a fracture in my x-rays. Spent less than 2 minutes in the office each visit and would be on his phone the entire time doing personal things. Very unprofessional
