Dr. Gurgel is a knowledgeable, thorough, talented surgeon. I am so grateful for the way he treated our child in a difficult time and would highly recommend him.
Dr. Gurgel along with Dr. Reichman just removed an acoustic neuroma from my left internal auditory canal. The surgery was smooth. I was carefully on my feet the next day and was only on the hard pain meds for less than 24 hours. I went home 3 1/2 days after I checked in and never filled my pain med prescription because the pain was so easy to manage with a few Tylenol a day (and I may not have even needed them). My facial nerve is in excellent condition and my recovery has astounded me. Dr. Gurgel is confident and competent and was very professional through the whole process and I'm glad it was he that worked on me. Dr. Gurgel is the most kind and excellent medical professional I’ve ever come in contact with. My wife and I immediately knew he was the right choice after consulting with several surgeons regarding a Vestibular Schwannoma I had in 2018. His team is beyond exceptional.

Dr. Gurgel takes his time and thoroughly explains everything. He gave me an email address and said that if I ever had any questions to ask him. Well i did and he got right back to me with an answer. I would highly recommend him to anyone with ear issues.
