I crushed several bones in my ankle and Dr. Helfrey put a three inch screw in my ankle and made me feel all better! Love Dr. Helfrey and Dr. Jeff Wallace!

I shattered my Left Foot and Ankle when i fell from my roof while putting my Christmas lights up .A Dr.Trump with Mercy Hospital did Surgery on my foot and ankle to repair the damages 6 months later,I am still in a leg boot with a cane .On June 13,2022, I went to see Dr Richard Helfrey at his bone and joint office in Wentzville .The Doctor,s staff was so Patient and friendly to me .Dr Helfrey is going to HELP ME GET OUT OF PERSISTENT PAIN IN MY ANKLE AND FOOT DR HELFREY IS GOING TO HELP ME TO WALK AGAIN WITHOUT HORRIBLE AND PERSISTENT PAIN THANK GOD ???????? FOR DR RICHARD HELFREY AND HIS STAFF.I WILL ALWAYS reccamend Dr Helfrey .If U can,t walk proper from lack of care.I RECCAMEND THE BONE AND JOINT FACILITY WITH RICHARD HELFREY .GOD BLESS U. Unfortunately, I can not write a positive review because my husband died from complications resulting from a Pulmonary Embolism (PE), (aka Blood Clot) after undergoing ankle surgery with Dr. Helfrey. Blood clots most often originate in the legs and travel up through the right side of the heart and into the lungs. My husband was not administered any type of blood clot preventive during or after his surgery with Dr Helfrey. Excellent surgeon who cares about his patients. I wouldn’t be walking again if it wasn’t for the skill and care of this surgeon and his team. I am forever grateful.

Never made it. I was told the doctor would not look at my black toe. I said that is not what the problem is. I have bruising that comes and goes across the top of my foot. This after half the time I call there is a circuit busy buzz to their number. So I guess they were cancelling my appointment never saw me.

I had surgery on my left toe in 2014 and now surgery on my right toe a week ago. Dr. Helfrey is the best surgeon with a great group of people in his office including Dr. Jeff. Two successful surgeries, and I could not be happier! Plus he has a great bed side...very nice!! I wish he could be my primary doctor.

don't trust his diagnostic, and always get a second opinion from another doctor, I had a broken toe, and I knew I needed a surgery and told him, but he said just tape it, he spent less than 15 minutes for me in two visits, of course no improvement after 3 weeks in my broken toe, so I went to another orthopedic surgeon and got a surgery right away Funny part, he sent a claim to my insurance company for over $400 for his treatment and diagnostic!!!!!!

Well 80% of the time they were on time but the other 20% they were late. But he is a nice doctor who has help me many times with my bones. I would and have gone to him over and over again.

Lots of orthopedic surgeons are great. This guy is a miracle. I'm so happy I used ssm for my medical needs.

Very good doctor. I'm glad I've found him. I've been to other orthopedic docs with bad luck.

I couldn't be paid to go back. So, no, no would never recommend. I only went to him, as my orthopedic sent me to him. Only gave one star, as lowest....

I broke my ankle last year. Dr. Helfrey is awesome! Showed me the xrays and Explained exactly what was going on. No problems througout the healing process. He has a Great energy and attitude. Really made a difficult 6 months easy peasy for me. The time flew by. Thanks Helfrey! :)

The best. Won’t let any other doctor or P A ( Jeff) touch mine or my family’s bones. Trust completely.

Went to Neurologist. Turns out Dr. Helfrey's prescription to take Vitamin B6 daily has been poisoning me for years. Thanks to this doctor, who my neurologist says is not up-to-date on supplements and toxicity, has now caused permanent peripheral neuropathy and disability. My continuous health problems are entirely due to this doctor.

I had a great patient experience with Dr. Helfrey and his staff. He treated me for an unstable ankle with much-needed surgery and prescribed physical therapy. He continued to see me through recuperation after I exercised too much too soon post-surgery because of a trip I had planned. I highly recommend him. Nice guy. Listens. Explains. Knows what he's doing.

I was seen by dr. Wallace, very nice and a very well patient doctor...problem is...i have a foot injury..i did 6 xrays and the mri...then my dr. Decides to go on a week vacation. Now the office over that few days after my mri testing was amazing...i was a wreck & very concerned what my results are...my foots been swollen & bruised for 3 freakin months & i STILL CANT TOUCH IT and nothings changed!!! They told me by that following monday theyd have a dr. Call me & wed go over my mri results...now the dr. Told me that i barely torn a legiment that it will scar & heal on it own and my foot is sprained...(keep in mind few days before mem. Weekend my foot accidently got RAN OVER BY A 2004 TRAILBLAZER & IM ONLY 108LBS!) Now todays dr. Appointment on july 26th seeing my doctor Dr. Wallace...he tells me that he hasnt even looked at my mri images and nothings torn that hes reading from what an mri specialist reader wrote down on the computer ...im sorry but "what the heck???!!...then tells me that i need to make an appointment to go next door to see the pain management specialist.....so this thursday on the 29th im seeing the pain management drs. Next door to them with my 3 kids...still no answers as to why my foot is still swollen & bruised after 3 FREAKIN MONTHS and why i still cant touch my foot....i just want my old foot back ....... I cannot say enough about Dr. Helfrey, Jeff and his entire staff!! I had put off foot surgeries for years because of my past experiences and frankly, I was just plain afraid. I could no longer walk without pain and my quality-of-life was horrible. The moment I met Dr. Helfrey and his staff, which includes everyone from the kind woman who greeted me, the nurses, the x-ray technician, Jeff and Dr. Helfrey himself {a.k.a. the janitor :)} I knew I made the right decision ! Thank you all!!

The first time I went to the Wentzville office was wonderful...I highly recommended dr helfrey to people in the past. I went back 6mo later and things had changed for the worse ... Not sure what happened but I waited over an hour from my appointment time and no one said anything like he's running late to reschedule or anything it just wasn't acknowledged. Also now phone calls all go through some answering center that is rude and not helpful AT ALL. After this I went to get my exrays and they said oh did you call I said well I tried but couldn't get anyone to transfer me to this office they told me to call DePaul hospital ... Why I have not a clue (seeing as how my exrays were done at the Wentzville office) but that's what the call center told me. I like dr.helfrey but will never ever go to this office or group again after being treated that way. They are supposed to be there and get paid to help patients and they act like they are unconvinced with you. I'm not sure if the dr knows what goes on or not but hopefully he reads this. Dr Helfrey and his staff are excellent. Their wait time was very reasonable and the staff was on top of everything. They were able to diagnose my injury and explain how and why it happened and what I needed to do to recover. I would highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Helfrey has performed surgery on me twice. I have suffered with post tibia tendon issues and pronation. I know that he has made the difference between walking and not walking. I am recovering from my second surgery and look forward to walking again. I have a physical job and I know I am on my feet a lot!! I am awaiting a full recovery so that I may work and enjoy more traveling!! God Bless Dr. Helfrey!!!! He has enabled me to be a fully functioning person.
