Dr. Richard Bivings Hilburn

I have been seeing Dr. Hilburn for almost a year now. I first used him for an annual physical. I noticed he is extremely attentive and a great listener. I started seeing him since for all my medical needs. He strikes me as a very caring gentleman. Unlike other doctors, he calls to check on me when I am sick and he always explained my lab tests and discussed in detail his plan to manage my health care.

Dr. Hilburn cracked the code on this condition of which I had been suffering for almost 40 years. His recommendation of keeping my sinuses s flushed on a daily basis involved my continued attention and he was very supportive in making sure I did it. The result, is that I have stopped the infections before they started, rather than treating after.

Dr. Hilburn is known for spending as much time as necessary on any given patient. He is Board Certified in Geriatric Medicine and has an excellent understanding of all the complexities in the aging population. In addition, he has a extensive interest and education of the psychological underpinnings of some medical conditions, which is rare for many physicians. He treats the mind and body.

I am a Mental Health Professional specializing in Family and Individual Therapy and Medical Liaison. One of my patients told me about their visit with Dr. Hilburn. They were so happy to spend more than 15 minutes with a doctor, and someone who listened and genuinely cared. Dr. Hilburn researches the patients history and former treatment plans and looks at all aspects of their health and emotional concerns. Dr. Hilburn is boarded both in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and has trained in Geriatric Psychiatry. I have since referred many patients to his practice and all report back how compassionate and genuinely caring he is. I have seen his unusual practice notes, and the time he takes to included history and all relative information is critical for any specialist following the patients. Dr. Hilburn not only treats patients but educates them and any involved family members. He is an outstanding physician.

Dr Hilburn is very experienced and thorough. He takes the time to learn everything that he can about his patient. He treats their intricacies with great respect and care.. understanding the uniqueness of that person. Dr Hilburn's knowledge & understanding of elders is so evident and is a hugely important consideration in medication treatments. Dr Hilburn is committed to staying up to date on research, including a recent FDA approved genetic test to determine whether certain drugs are compatible with a patient. He is eager to unravel the health history of an elder person and come up with solutions that fit. Dr Hilburn is easy to talk to and does house calls and hospital visits. You hardly ever hear of a Doctor who does those things anymore! Dr Hilburn has been the best Doctor our Mom has ever had! He has been wonderful with her and our family. Dr Hilburn is very kind, considerate, and a great resource and If you have the good fortune to meet with him...he will do his best for you.

I am a 74 years old Veterinarian practitioner. I have never had such a kind doctor in my life . He is an amazing soul who listens to you and your medical issues so thoroughly as he is writing a book about you . He is a patient listener no matter how long it takes to know you and your medical issues . Thorough work up to diagnose your health problems and reached the depths of your problems . He is angel from heavens for me. Now I feel like he is my family friend as I can call him anytime any day and discuss my pains and aches . He is always friendly and welcoming as no other doctor ever made me feel so welcoming and listens to you to help yiu resolve your issues. Dr. Richard B. Hilburn is one of the most educated and competent doctors I have ever known (I am 71 years of age). He is always looking to improve my medications list because of my vast number of ailments. I trust Dr. Hilburn implicitly and without hesitation.
