After consulting with 5 bunion specialists including Kaiser where everybody told me they would have to freeze my toe joint in order to fix my drifting big toe, I went to Dr. Moy. He had a technic that nobody else came up with. It worked and I can't thank him enough. Dr. Moy is the most creative and best foot surgeon in the field. His surgeries are pain free but of course physical therapy is recommended to keep the toe from stiffening up. I was thrilled walking up to 5 miles in the Alpes after 4 months. The office is spotless and his stuff very pleasant and well trained. I would not think twice to recommend Dr. Moy to all my friends and relatives. Dr Moy performed 2 foot surgeries on me around 2006/2007 for tailors bunion, left and right side. He is extremely knowledgeable and confident (borderline arrogant but I prefer a doctor that knows his stuff). His office was super clean. You can practically eat off the bathroom floor. He appeared to be very meticulous and super clean himself, not a wrinkle or stain on his clothing. That's the person you want performing surgery on you! As far as the bad reviews on his practice not being in the network seems a bit unfair and ridiculous. It's the doctor's choice on whether they want to be told by health insurance companies on what he should be charging for his services. I guess he doesn't feel he needs to be under the rules of a health insurance company, and there is nothing wrong with that. Many in-network doctors are part of network because it is enticing for people to use that treating facility or physician for cost savings reason. Apparaently, Dr.Moy doesn't need to do that. I recall my insurance at the time had a 5k deductble, but if someone is cutting into my feet I will not think twice about whether he is in or out of network. I cared most about being in good hands. So many horror stories about painful bunion surgery, but not with Dr. Moy. I could not believe I walked out of surgery pain free. He is one of the very best when it comes to bunion surgery. I was referred to Dr Moy by another doctor that had him do her bunion surgery. She also happened to be a fellow runner. She was more than pleased with her outcome. I also learned that he specializes in bunion surgery and I wanted someone that has experience doing a lot of them. Dr Moy fixed my bunion back in 2011. I am more than happy with the outcome and have run several marathons (including Boston) since. Highly recommend!

Maybe Dr Moy is a great podiatrist, maybe not......but I'll never know because he doesn't accept MEDICARE even with the best supplemental BLUE SHIELD insurance. So I guess he doesn't need senior business. His office stall encouraged me to "SELF PAY" and my hammertoe surgery could be done in 2-3 weeks......no thanks!

He fixed my toe in no time ! I was walking the same day with no pain at all!

Had bunion surgery do over from another Dr. By Dr.Moy in 2011 on one foot. He promised virtually pain free and he delivered. I hesitated after first surgery to have it redone because of the severe pain and long recovery on pain meds. I was blown away at how pain free it was. He really keeps his promise I had one toe shortened and screws in two toes. It has been seven years and I have had no problems whatsoever. I would do it again in a heartbeat. He is everything he says and he gave me a perfect foot again . What have you got to lose? Trust him. I tell everyone how good he is. His clinic and staff are top notch! I had my left bunion surgically corrected by Dr Moy 4 years ago and I it was completely painless and exactly as described. The scar is unnoticeable and my foot looks beautiful; I am able to wear everything from ballet flats to high heels with no discomfort! I’m going back to have my right foot done this year. It has been 6 years since Dr. Richard Moy performed bunion surgery on both of my feet. Before my surgeries with Dr. Moy, I was in terrible pain. I was at the point where it was difficult to walk and I couldn't even let a sheet or shoe touch my feet because of the inflammation and pain. Dr. Moy explained his surgery procedure to me before the surgeries. Recovery was so easy. I never had any pain after the surgeries and I took no pain medication. To this day my feet are beautiful - pain free, bunion free and feel GREAT! I have zero areas of numbness and zero areas of nerve pain. My feet feel 100% perfect. I have had QUALITY of life ever since Dr. Richard Moy corrected my bunions. I can wear any shoes or boots or sandals with ease ever since my surgeries. I cannot say enough about Dr. Moy's expertise as a surgeon. His staff is friendly and well trained. His surgery center is clean and neat. I'm an out of State patient. I just had my bunion surgery with Dr,Moy yesterday. The Doctor is amazing, caring and knowledgeable. 24 hours post surgery-still no major pain, just slight pulsing- which from what I read is normal. The surgical staff was great, facility is clean, and my Anesthesiologist did a fantastic job- I woke up fast, and didn't feel a thing. From my first consult to my pre-op appointment and surgery the next day- it couldn't go better. Looking forward to my follow up! YK

Be careful! out of network, great doctor, but the front staff told me mt bill AFTER service was done, kinda suprised the front staff didn't tell us before!

My experience with Dr. Moy was extremely disappointing. He performed two unsuccessful surgeries leaving me in FAR more pain than before the surgeries. He was not willing to offer any substantial solution to my pain. And worse, he didn't even seem to really care. I will never recommend him again.

Two orthopaedic surgeons told me they did notrecommend surgically removing neuromas because they tend to come back. I went to Dr. Moy, who removed the neuroma successfully, plus did a bunionectomy and two hammertoes. NEVER had one iota of pain, drove myself to work the next day and from then on. Highly successful surgery, no pain --- ever His surgical suite and PAWS system actually made it a MOST PLEASANT experience! Four years later my husband has now had a bunionectomy and arthritic build-up removal on the top of his big toe, and has had the same positive experience that I did. Very friendly staff!

My foot is worse off than before the bunion surgery. I am experiencing pain and lack of flexibility. Dr. Moy under estimates recovery times and does not give an accurate picture of the experience. I continue to have pain walking after 4 months an unable to wear shoes that were comfortable before the surgery, and will have to have a second surgery to remove the screw in my foot.
