Dr. Savino explained everything that needs to be done with my knee very thoroughly. And took my other health issues into concern and didn’t push, stating he’d do my replacement after I heal from my surgery.

I went to Dr. Savino to have a torn meniscus in my knee taken care of and he was very comforting with his knowledge and manner. He explained fully why I was in pain and what needed to be done to relieve that pain. After the surgery, which went flawlessly, he sat with me and went into detail about the damage that was repaired, he explained what to expect during recovery and what future issues might occur as a result of that damage. I highly recommend Dr. Savino

Dr. Savino, his PA Charlie, and Lindsay all made me feel comfortable with my visit and were very attentive to my needs. I highly recommend this great team of people!

Dr. Savino and his staff was great! He preformed rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder 3 months I can honestly say I'm back to 100% the surgery went well he did a great job. I 100% recommend to all

Dr. Richard Savino performed a Clavicle Surgery for me. I am so happy with the surgery done, he was so professional, put all my concerns at ease. Three months later after my surgery I have full range of motion on my shoulder and arm, no pain. He is dedicated to his patients and also easy to reach in his office with any concern. Had my ACL repair done by Dr. Savino, and could not been more pleased with the result. While I know that everyone heals at a different pace, in my case, I was up and about within a day, and the pain was bearable and managed with ease. I am certain that I am on my way to return to my quality or life prior to my injury. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Savino was caring and listened to my concerns and spoke in plan language that was clearly understood.

Mediocre. Limited knowledge. Typical of the area: rushed appointment, quick diagnosis without examining patient thoroughly. There are many doctors elsewhere.

Does not listen. His assistant Jackie is rude. Also, getting in touch with them is a nightmare as they do not return calls promptly. I am finding a new doctor who actually does what they say they will do.

My experience with Dr. Savino and his staff has been positive in all areas. The office staff is organized and helpful. Dr. Savino is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I have received nothing but great care.

I needed total knee replacement surgery, my daughter had her knee replaced two years ago and recommended her surgeon,Dr. Richard Savino, and Mather Hospital. From the beginning, at the consultation, Dr.Savino and his staff were great. I needed to have both knees replaced, after the initial exam and speaking with Dr.Savino we decided to have surgery on the worse of my knees done first. That was in November 2019, everything went so exceptionally well - from the doctor's office staff to the pre-surgical staff at the hospital, the anesthesiologist (who was also amazing) his surgical assistant (who stitched my knee so well you can barely see a scar)- Now here I am three and a half months later and we scheduled surgery for my second knee ! Dr. Savino is truly a gifted surgeon, I was so glad I chose him to do my total knee replacement. Since he did my daughter's knee replacement i had a lot of faith in choosing him to do mine. I have been a long time patient of Dr Savino at LIBJ. The office always worked with my hours, and the office staff is like trusted family members. Always know when I go there, that I am getting the best TEAM, from beginning to end. I recently had my knee replaced, and the experience I had was so smooth, not to mentioned skilled. Dr. Savino performed bi-lateral hip replacements on me. His work was nothing short of extraordinary. The surgeries he performed allowed me to regain my healthy lifestyle. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Savino to anyone considering a hip replacement!!!!

Dr Savino repaired my very damaged right shoulder last June arthroscopically. I am delighted that the results and recovery have been great and I now have full range of motion in my shoulder joint.

I am a former health care professional and a health care attorney with some 45 years in the field. I had a (R) hip replacement in June of 2019 performed by Dr. Savino. From all perspectives it was a most positive and beneficial experience. The care and treatment by Dr. Savino, his staff and the staff at Mather Hospital was excellent. Dr. Savino has also treated my mother and daughter with excellent results. I highly regard and recommend him.

Dr. Savino performed Bi Lateral Hip replacement on me in February 2014. He was simply THE BEST!!!! His care, professionalism, and skills gave me back my freedom. I kid around when ever I am asked how old I am...and say...but my hips are only 6 yrs old!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Dr. Savino did an amazing job on my bi lateral hp replacement! His professionalism and expertise had me back up and running and golfing like I had the hips of a 20 year old!! Great guy and HIGHLY RECCOMMEND him!!!!

Dr Savino did my knee surgery and was AMAZING! After being in so much pain for a year I am finally pain free. I would recommend him, and have, with great confidence.

Dr. Savino is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He operated on both my knees, one in June and one in July. Before my surgeries I couldn’t get in or out of my car without extreme pain. Six months out from my second surgery, I have recovered my leg strength and mobility completely. I have viewed my x- Ray’s and both my knees are perfectly aligned. I urge anyone who needs orthopedic surgery to see Dr. Savino.

I had a double knee replacement 5 years ago. Dr Savino was absolutely the best Dr I could have used. I had a double knee with in two days. I had zero complications extensive therapy in and out of Mather Hosp. I heard many horror stories from ny Hosp and thanked god my surgery was with Dr Savino. I recommend Dr Savino with 100% honesty and his skill is impeccable

great dr. and very caring and thoughtful in a tough decision on what needs to be done... excellent in his field and i would refer him in a minute to anyone needing surgery he has a wonderful bedside manner... and is very pleasant in many ways and very knowledgeable.... # 1 in my book for sure

It's amazing I had total hip replacement 5 yrs ago and my implant feels like my original hip....the best decision I ever made.

Dr. Savino is an excellent surgeon. My husband had a total knee replacement and is doing wonderfully. Not only the doctor, but his entire staff are professional and make you feel so comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone who is experiencing any orthopedic problem.

Dr Savino , Charlie his PA are great extremely knowledgeable and down to earth taking their time to explain things. Great surgeon and his nurse Jackie is always very helpful. I would recommend them to anyone

Dr. Richard Savino (with his PA-Physician Asst. Charlie and his Medical Asst. Jackie} is as wonderful physician and a truly down to earth human being. I had a knee replacement which was causing me great pain, until I came to Dr. Savino who x-rayed my knee from a different angle showing that the knee cap was not positioned properly by the original surgeon. Dr. Savino performed a revision surgery and I have had no knee pain since that day!

I have had nothing but outstanding experiences with Dr. Savino. He has routinely provided a level of care that I have not found in other doctors. He makes my children feel comfortable and confident that they will get better and heal correctly. In my opinion he is the only Orthopedic Surgeon that should be seen in our area.

DR. SAVINO AND HIS ASSISTANT TREATED MY WIFE AS IF THEY WERE FRIENDS FOR YEARS.VERY COMPASSIONET, UDERSTANDING AND MY WIFE FELT LIKE SHE WAS IN GOOD HANDS AND SHE WAS. he is a wonderful and detailed dr. and wonderful bedside manner.. a real perfectionist and easy to speak with.. also quite handsome... but most important he is very very good at what he does.. and I would refer him to anyone and already have. Dr. Savino has provided outstanding care for my family and I. He has set the bar for which I judge other physicians. He truly understands and listens to his patients needs and questions. I have found him to be extremely thorough and receptive all questions. His office staff really went out of their way to make my 10 year old son feel like he will be back playing sports in a short amount of time. In my opinion he is the only Ortho Surgeon to see, and I have been to most of the other ones.

Dr. Savino is a kind and caring doctor. He cares about you as a person and is truly interested in your overall well being. He takes time to answer questions and explains things in a real way. He is an honest person who does the right thing for his patients.

My entire experience with Dr. Savino, his office staff and his PA (Charlie, I believe) was nothing but positive. They are kind, commpassionate, and know how to explain a procedure at a laymen level. I walked in concerned that I would have chronic knee pain for life ---- now I am training to run in the next LI half marathon. I wouldn't hesitate to send any of my family or friends to see Dr. Savino for any orthopedic needs.
