Excellent doctor. Takes time to listen and treatment always successful. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Phone calls always answered.

Failed to respond to out of range blood work results until health deteriorated significantly. Communication is harsh and lacks compassion. Even a few years ago, Schweitzer was helpful for urgent matters if someone in our family needed an X-ray or strep swab. However, over the years he has become aggressive and dismissive. He hasn’t helped even with obvious health care needs. Most recently and more than one occasion his treatment of family members as been unkind and unhelpful. None of our family members will go to him again.

Ignored out of range test values. Doesn’t return for home calls. Treats staff gruffly. Shows little to no interest in treating illness or pain or chronic conditions. He’s dismissive and spoke aggressively to us on more than one occasion. He took off a long period of time and returned angry and uncommitted to health care. He takes random week+ vacations (not holidays) with no back-up, no way to get in touch. Also, his staff turnover is very high. His practice has grown concerning.

Saw him for urgent care issues for 10 years, our family of 3. We didn’t rely on him for any serious medical issues. He ran annual blood work and dismissed out-of-range values until medical issues were critical and required specialist care. Over the decade he became more short-fused, more aggressive, and more dismissive of health complaints. He does not return phone calls and is not easy to communicate with in person. He has become gruff and literally dismissive with respect to patient care. There are far better options for urgent care in Mountain Lakes.

We see Dr Schweitzer on an as needed basis. He is very thorough, very professional but most of all very kind and patient. His staff is very polite and helpful.

Great experience. Got me in right away. Very personable and kind.

Been seeing Dr Schweitzer for quite a few years as General Physician and if any emergency (non hospital) items come up. We drive 25 miles each way to see someone we trust. Highly Recommend. His walk in facility is great - no appointments needed.
