Excellent visit. Took me 15 minutes early and then quickly saw the Doc. He was very thorough, asked a lot of questions since this was my first time seeing him and gave me new prescriptions as I walked out. PSA test was done in office.

My first visit with Dr Troy was excellent. He is very professional and told me exactly what needs to be done and what to expect! His practice came highly recommended from my primary physician. I feel extremely confident in Dr Troy for my upcoming procedure.

I have been very pleased with the care and service that I have received from Dr. Troy thus far. I had to have two separate procedures done due to an uncooperative kidney stone. Dr. Troy met with me prior to each procedure and explained what he would be doing. The stone was removed successfully and I am now pain free.

I arrived for my prostate biopsy and my blood pressure was checked prior to the procedure. It was extremely high. Both the nurse and Dr. Troy insisted that I get to the hospital immediately. The high blood pressure was confirmed there, and I am now on a medication. I appreciate that the nurse and Dr. Troy insisted upon the immediate treatment. Dr. Troy is an exceptionally great doctor. He has saved my life twice, once in 2005 and again in 2017. Both times from kidney failure. The first time I lost one kidney from stage 3B cancer. Two doctors were telling me at that time I had 4 months to live. Dr. Troy and my radiologist saved me. The second time in 2016 I was sent 50 miles away to Rush Hospital in Chicago with a 3 1/2 centimeter kidney stone as a candidate for the Da Vinci Robot. Rush sent me home to wait indefinitely for surgery. I contacted Dr. Troy who performed the surgery at Good Shepherd quickly within a short time and saved me again. I did not lose my only kidney. Dr. Troy is extremely competent. He is a joy to visit, always pleasant and optimistic. My family and I are very grateful to know him.

I recently completed my first medical visit at the office of Dr. Troy. Dr. Troy's staff were very professional and they asked me about my background and any concerns that I had. Dr. Troy also asked me very good questions and the exam that I received was top notch. Dr. Troy seemed to care very much about my health and offered several suggestions to me so I can optimize my health plan. Dr. Troy seems very competent and very kind - two things that I look for in a physician. I did not have to wait long to see Dr. Troy and I believe that his office is run efficiently. I’ve been going through a month long problem with my lower back , my Ortho doctor saw a problem that included my prostrate he said I needed to see my urologist dr Troy . In 2010 I awoke with 70 blood clots and was given less than a 5% chance of survival. During the process, I went into a form of shock from the thromboidal disperants that I believe weakened my system and allowed cancer to begin in my body. In 2012 my PSA went from 3.8 to 8.2 in six months and it was determined that I had stage II prostate cancer. In January 2013, I had a nerve sparing radical prostectomy performed by Dr. Troy using that DaVinci robot. After 26 hours in the hospital, I returned home, recovered for 14 days and resumed my normal life and schedule. Being interested in what "happened" I began studying anatomy, physiology, molecular biology and neurochemistry and wrote a book entitled "Never Say Never...Living with Prostate Cancer" that is available at no cost on Amazon. From the book, I began mentoring men with prostate cancer all over the world and work with them as they go through the "process". I don't ask their last names or where they live, nor their religion, orientation or anything more than how can I help and do so at no cost. In 2017, I was invited to speak to 200 Middle Eastern urologists on prostate cancer from the patient's perspective and did so in Dubai where I was honored to meet many doctors from different countries, different faiths and different perspectives on life who all had one thing in common, helping mankind. Today, I continue writing and added "Survivor...Death and How It Saved My Life" to the "free" list on Amazon, where the book reviews social dynamics. In addition, I have written three novels in the past two years in the "Waldwick Series", that address current social issues and are published and for sale, where all net proceeds are donated to Make-A-Wish foundation. I do voice-over narration for training guides for a national brewing company and donate the pay to M.A.D.D. - Mother's Against Drunk Drivers in memory of my father, who was an alcoholic. In addition, I do public speaking at high schools on leadership where I also donate my time and hopefully share a little wisdom. Finally, I just celebrated 25 years as a lector in our church where I read the gospel and accept the majesty of believing that all religions are about the same four things...humility, generosity, compassion and forgiveness. My last appointment with Dr Troy was done online. I felt like it was an "in office" appointment as we discussed my health issues. Given the current virus issue I would recommend it for anyone that has any concerns but does not think they need a physical exam.

The online visit with Dr. Troy was very similar to an office visit, except for the physical exam part. I felt very comfortable to wait for the physical exam based on the information that Dr. Troy discussed with me during the online visit, and based on the answers to my questions. The staff asked the same questions prior to the Dr. coming online, and the staff & Dr. Troy addressed my questions in the same matter as was done at last year's office visit. The procedure to schedule the office visit for the physical exam was done just as quickly as if I was at the Dr.'s office. Overall, a very productive and very good visit with Dr. Troy and his staff.

I had my appointment by phone with the dr after the nurse had called earlier for the information for the dr to be advised. It went well and would do it again.

Zoom based virtual consultation with Dr. Troy went well. Dr Troy is always conscientious and thorough and the technology did not hinder the effectiveness of the conversation.

I recently brought my 90-year-old father in for a rather intrusive procedure during the COVID19 situation. My father and I were both a bit apprehensive about the visit. Hi There: I am a relatively new patient to Dr. Richard Troy, although I have been around Comprehensive Urological since my operation 3 years ago (for tests, etc.) It has been interesting to watch the transformation, because I met Dr. Troy shortly before the pandemic began and my treatments have begun during the pandemic itself. Dr. Troy's office staff made it an easy transition from in-office visits to online consultations. I think the electronics are working well. I think Dr. Troy has done an excellent job of transferring his "bedside manner" to the Zoom conferences. He made me feel like he was interested, had my information and gave me personal feedback on my situation. Dr. Troy I believe is a very good doctor. He has prescribed treatments for me that are well accepted medically and were conveyed to me in plain English so that I could understand and appreciate what is trying to be accomplished. I would recommend Dr. Troy for your urological health needs.

Because of the recent pandemic I was not able to schedule an in office appointment with Dr. Troy. I was offered the option of a telecommunication visit to establish a new patient consultation with the doctor. I must admit I was a bit hesitant at first but didn't want to wait for another month to see the doctor. To my surprise and satisfaction the consultation went very well. It was like seeing the doctor without the inconvenience of having to travel and risk the potential of being exposed to the covid 19 virus. The doctor went over my past history which he had received prior to my visit and confirmed what my previous urologist had recommended. Dr. Troy answered all my questions and concerns and I felt very comfortable with his follow up recommendations. A very pleasant experience. Would highly recommend this type of virtual visit to anyone who is looking for an alternative to an actual office visit

Had an appointment to see Dr. Troy on Feb. 6th. Got to the appointment a few minutes early and was called in right on time. My reason for seeing the Dr. was diagnosed immediately and was consulted on my options. Terrific Dr. and a terrific practice.

Altogether a quick and painless experience.

He is an excellent doctor! I first met Dr. Troy when my father was misdiagnosed with cancer. We were worried sick for a month. Dr. Troy assured us it was not cancer and referred us to a radiologist who clarified and supported what Dr. Troy said. Recently I was diagnosed with cancer Dr. Troy was very helpful in explaining treatment he explained how he can save the organ without having to remove the whole thing. He is very professional, compassionate, and understanding even if you question something he explains and resolves the issue. I only have good things to say about Dr. Troy and I would recommend see Dr. Troy before you have your surgery done, he will give you a better perceptive on things! We are very fortunate to have such a skilled doctor!

Dr. Troy in my opinion is a great urologist surgeon doing robotic surgery. I have had two robotic surgeries in six weeks. Partial nephrectomy and a prostrate removal with very small incisions. Dr. Troy has been very informative on what was going to be done step by step. I would recommend him to any one with urology problems.

Kind, caring, professional, provides treatment options and explains the pros and cons of each. Makes sure you have all the necessary information to make àn informed decision that's based on your beliefs and present as well as future needs and expectations . Strongly recommend .

I've have had 2 major surgeries there in 6 weeks and both times they used the robotic surgery, first partial kidney removal and number 2 my prostrate removed. I found the Dr. Troy and nursing staff to be very friendly and professional. By the way Dr. Troy is in my opinion is a great urologist surgeon doing robotic surgery.

I believe he is a da Vinci sales person, not a comprehensive urologist. He has fixed thinking and lied on a narrative of our consult, saying I was in favor of the procedure. Other patients told me his partner actually did their surgery without their knowledge or ever meeting him. Dr. Troy totally discounts alternative possibilities even though they may be evidence based. He's the classic example of what's wrong with our health care system.
