Dr. Robert Hunter Boyce

We met Dr. Boyce in the Vanderbilt Trauma ICU. My mother had fallen and broke the neck of her femur. When he came into see her, he told me that she needed to have surgery as soon as possible. I asked him if she would be receiving a full hip replacement and he answered, "We don't have full replacements available on Sundays and she can't wait until Monday to have the surgery." I thought that sounded odd but proceeded with the surgery. We went home a week later but she continued to get worse. Dr. Boyce was so ugly to her and made her feel terrible. He actually threw a business card at her and said, "Fine, if you don't like what I'm doing just go get yourself a full replacement from this doctor!!!" Come to find out- Dr. Boyce cannot even do full replacements!!!! He had lied from the beginning. To make things worse, we went to a new doctor and found out that the CEMENT HAD FAILED in the partial Boyce had done. She had to have another huge surgery to replace what Boyce had done to her.

Extremely arrogant & narcissistic bedside manner. Treated me like a complete idiot when I asked him a question. It took him over a year to answer it, his response was all that he was required to do was make sure the bone was stabilized. The screws in my husband's leg all broke within 4 weeks of surgery! He came up with every reason possible to say why they broke. But someone please tell me how a cigarette is going to break screws. My husband was 100% non weight bearing. He is the worst Dr. we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with!

He is a amazing doctor has taking very excellent care of my son he is very caring doctor i would recommend him to everyone excellent excellent doctor thank you for all you have done and are doing
