Run as fast as U can. My mom was diagnosed in July, had surgery in September and passed in December. Dr Cameron is a control freak and will not let any other doctors or nurses advise on care. Everyone at UCLA is scared of him and they don’t advocate for the patient. He does not believe in checking blood work and my mom got septic, pneumonia and didn’t leave ICU for 60 days and missed the window for radiation. We got her home and it had spread to her whole lung. She passed 12/16/18.

I would be extremely wary. This doctor had important test results that we were waiting anxiously for. He never bothered to call with the test results nor did anyone from his office call on his behalf. We only learned of the outcome when our GP pushed. Disorganized and unwilling to apologize for sloppy work. We moved on.

Dr. Cameron and his entire staff including Lien, his nurse practitioner, Martha and Clare Cameron went above and beyond in treating my husband with mesothelioma. My father was diagnosed and treated by Dr. Cameron and his team which included Clare Cameron, Executive Director for PHLBI/Pacific Meso Center. They were all instrumental in helping my father and our family to understand and cope with this dreadful disease. He and his team treat their patients and families affected with the highest level of care, concern and professionalism and for that my family will be forever grateful. Dr. Cameron has an excellent and unique ability to combine the talents of the researcher with the clinician. We chose Dr. Cameron to work with us when my husband was diagnosed with Mesothelioma last year. He and his staff went to great effort to get my husband into surgery immediately after we confirmed our relationship with him. The surgery and follow-up have been very successful. His office and clinic are more rustic than a BH plastic surgeon's would be but are adequate. His staff is efficient and friendly. Dr. Cameron removed the upper left lobe of my lung because of cancer. I have been his patient now for over 6 years and I can emphatically say that he is a gifted, dedicated and personable doctor. I am so thankful that he was referred to me by my friends and I travel 3 hours to see him.
