Dr. Robert B Campbell

This was my first time at Ortho VA and I had Dr. Campbell and I gotta say I was expecting him to ignore my complaints as other doctors have done but not only did he take the time to listen to what caused my injury he did a thorough job of checking flexibility, range of motion, what poses caused pain and then explained to me what would be the next step. I didn't even get this care at the E.R on the day of my injury which was caused by a car accident. This doctor is really really nice and I just can't believe the level of care I received. I will definitely use this office again should the need arise.

Dr Campbell did shoulder surgery and that improved my situation considerably. I’m still going through recovery but doing much better than before the surgery. The entire process working with Dr Campbell was great. I’d recommend him to anyone going through shoulder issues

Dr. Campbell was recommended by another Medical Professional last November 2021. The Surgery was planned and executed with Professionalism and care by Dr. Campbell and his Medical Team. This was important, because I’ve never had this high a level of Surgery in my life. Sincerely, I thank you.

I have seen Dr. Campbell for both shoulders requiring surgery. He is thorough, professional and has an excellent “bedside manner”.

It’s my best decision in choosing Dr Campbell as my physician. On the first day seeing him was great that he finds out what is the problem with my condition and then giving me options what we can do to resolve it. Until the post op he follows up how i can go back to my best condition and seeing the process of my recovery. I can feel that he cares for his patients and see how to make them comfortable and get well.

Dr. Campbell and staff are very professional, helpful, kind and compassionate. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Campbell to any of my friends or family.

Appt times are not kept my two visits included wait times of 45 minutes and follow up was an hour plus wait. Very frustrating

I was referred to Dr. Campbell was able to make an appointment with him that same day. That, in itself, was awesome. He diagnosed me with a torn meniscus and recommended surgery. The surgery went well and Dr. Campbell thoroughly explained what was done and even provided pictures of my knee which had never been done by other surgeons. I appreciated the care and concern that was given to me by him. I highly recommend him to anyone who has knee issues. He is wonderful!

Dr. Campbell is an excellent doctor. After he performed a torn labrum shoulder surgery and knee meniscus surgery on me I was able to return to an active lifestyle. Surfing, swimming, running, weights, etc. I felt a genuine connection as he follows-up thoroughly through the entire surgical process. Unfortunately I will likely need the other shoulder repaired and I would not thinking of going anywhere else. The Best!

Dr. Campbell is a Godsend. I cannot recommend him highly enough! He's clearly a master of his trade, but he balances that with the perfect bedside manner: including listing to my concerns, answering my questions in a clear manner, and providing an overall assessment and way forward to continue my rehab. I could not be happier with my level of care. The entire staff treated me like a was an old friend. The facility is state of the art, and looks like it was built yesterday. I do not have enough positive things to say about my experience. I did have to wait a bit longer than my appointment start time, but it was a same-day appointment and they were very busy.

Orthovirginia and Dr. Campbell saw me for an emergency appt. made on the same day, extremely accommodating. X-ray, exam, consultation , removed fluid, and cortisone injection. Explained everything and answered every question. Felt very much at ease with his personality and professionalism. Feel confident in recommending Dr. Campbell to anyone needing.

Professional; a bit too fast in getting thru the appt., and likes to give short answers vs. detailed ones. But basically a job well done a year post surgery.

Spends quality time with you, explains condition, treatment methods. Very personable and honestly cares for a positive path to obtain the best results. Average wait time could be better; as I’ve waited between 1-2 hours to see him. Overbooking or emergency patients not sure but it’s been that way for the last 3 visits. Still a great doctor! One of the receptionist could use an attitude adjustment but others are great to help you.

I've been seeing Dr. Campbell for 8 months now. I've had 9 prior left shoulder surgeries and he spent the time with me and explained everything thing that was going on with my shoulder. I had extensive shoulder surgery and it took longer than expected, but he stayed late into the night to make sure everything was working properly. Dr. Campbell has taken such great care of my shoulder, it's so nice for a doctor to actually sit down in a chair and look you in the eyes and talk to you. He makes you feel at home and your issue is very important to him. HARD TO FIND THAT TODAY IN DOCTORS!! Dr. Campbell is my orthopedic doctor for life, THANK YOU DR. CAMPBELL FOR EVERYTHING AND YOUR STAFF AS WELL.

Dr Campbell is an exceptional surgeon, as well as human being. I have had the pleasure (thin walls) of overhearing him fighting with an insurance company to give his patients what they need, and he goes far out of his way to make sure pre and post surgery, that his patients get the continued care they need. Felt like a person, not a number. Rare commodity anymore to find someone genuinely passionate about their art and their patients long term interests.

Dr. Campbell conducted shoulder replacement surgery the surgery was a complete success and I’m just about finished with therapy Dr. Campbell is the best I always knew what to expect if I had questions he took as much time as necessary to answer my concerns I felt like I was the only patient he had as he spent a lot of time with me including follow up I can tell you this Dr. Campbell is my doc for life and OrthoVirginia is a great medical treatment facility everyone there is professional and patient first the staff is great and my therapist, Liz has done a great job getting me back to fitness I also had Dr. Campbell examine my other shoulder and will definitely get him to take care of any orthopedic problems/injuries I have most strongly recommended to my family and friends

Saw Dr Campbell for knee injury. He did x-rays and thorough exam on both knees. Answered all my questions and provided a 1 month plan for therapy. I like his cautious approach with trying therapy first and holding off on doing MRI

Dr. Campbell spent extensive time explaining the best course of action for the issues I am having with my shoulder. I felt informed and assured with the planned course of action. I had total shoulder replacement surgery and everything went precisely as Dr. Campbell said it would. I am extremely pleased with the entire staff of OrthoVirginia and very thankful for Dr. Campbell.

Injured my knee skiing, Dr. Campbell was very thorough and made me feel at ease. His staff is very friendly and efficient.

Dr. Cambell is the best orthopedic surgeon, he is very compassionate, always explains what the issues are, what the treatment options are and always asks about how the family is and remembers names too. Rare for most doctors these days.

Dr. Campbell is concerned about his patients. Five months after total knee replacement I still cannot straighten it. He provided exercises, instructions and brought a physical therapist in to the exam room to work with me and schedule additional therapy. He is, I believe, doing everything possible to make my recovery a success.

Wonderful bedside manners and really takes the time to listen.

I am so happy with Dr Campbell, he listens to you, and explains everything, no rush anywhere. He did rotor cuff surgery on me, and I was only on pain pills for 4 days. I had been with another Orthopedic business but had to leave for various reasons. You won't regret coming here, though sometimes your wait does exceed your appt time.
