Dr. Robert William Engelen

Dr. Engelen is a terrific doctor and performed regenerative therapy on my tennis elbow by injections of my blood platelets, which made a huge difference. It’s too bad the administrative staff in his Sandy office is so incompetent.

Doctor good but office is the worst office I have ever dealt with!! Have been trying for a week to get a prescription and the office always has an excuse for it not going out. Also had an appointment at 3pm one day. I arrived to the appointment to find out that the doctor did not come in due to a family emergency. The office staff sat around on their butts all day and didn’t think to call the patients to try to reschedule so I had to drive 45mins to this appointment for nothing. ????

Dr Engelen is a highly competent compassionate physician.He diagnosed a problem that other doctors had missed,effectively treated it and took the time to actually demonstrate the proper rehabilitative exercises.He's a wonderful doctor with a great staff and I recommend him without reservation.Louisa Boswell

Dr. Engelen and his staff are incredible. They have been so patient with me in dealing with my chronic neck and trap pain. Dr. Engalan has significantly improved my quality of life by offering routine trigger points, along with constantly trying new approaches that benefit me. He and his staff are friendly, efficient, and extremely talented.

Dr. Engelen has been amazing at helping me with my chronic back pain. He is very skilled, listens well, and has provided me with multiple thoughtful treatment options to help me heal, leaving no stone unturned. My quality of life has improved greatly since being treated by Dr. Engelen. Highly highly recommend.

I have been to Dr Engelen several times and he is nothing short of AWESOME! He is kind, professional and he really listens to you! He takes the time & steps needed to see what works best for you. If you can't tell already...I HIGHLY Recommend him if you want 5 star treatment from him and his wonderful nurse!

Dr. Engelen has such positive energy and outlook. After a rugby injury, we were fortunate to be referred to him. We wanted a non surgical sports medicine doctor. Dr. Engelen was awesome at explaining our son's injury. He coached a kid (who does not always like to listen to adults) through a plan that included PT and daily exercise. Our son listened and stuck to the plan. A few weeks later he was back on the field running stronger than ever before.

He is one of the best Physicians that I have meet, he is very polite and patient, I had a chronic groin pain for over a year and he helped me to get better.

Dr. Engelen was knowledgeable and thorough. He was not quick to recommend surgery but recognized the seriousness of my issue and took quick action. Unfortunately the same cannot be said of his staff. I have 20 years of living with Lupus and have vast experience with doctors offices and I have never encountered such a poorly run, rude, and inept staff as those working at the Hoffman Arthritis Clinic. Because of their incompetence and callous behavior I will not be returning.

Based on my wife's experience I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. She called last week to schedule an appointment and was given an appointment today at 3:00 p.m. This morning someone called me rather than her asking to change the time. When she got to the clinic his name was not on the listing and it was only after she found his wife's office on the 2nd floor that she located his office but because she was late (after going to the wrong floor) he refused to see her.
