I am extremely disappointed with this doctor/office. I used to be a patient of Dr. Jaume Berkle for almost 10 years. Since Dr. Berkle moved out I was transferred to Dr. Hof. Then my problems started. Maybe it is not his fault but his office is awful, terrible and I do not find words to express my frustration.. Each time I tried to reach the office I ended up at a tel service. Each time I left a message I was never called back. It is a simple case for refill. This is going on since 3 weeks. A simple refill became a nightmare. I will change this doctor. and Piedmont Health. I was very pleased the last 10 years and now this nightmare. Simply unacceptable.. I am extremely disappointed with this doctor/office. I used to be a patient of Dr. Jaume Berkle for almost 10 years. Before doing any exams or tests or receiving records from any other doctor, he looked at me and said I was "young and healthy" and dismissed my concerns. I'm not sure he even knew my age (I'm a lot older than I look), and I feel like he just diagnosed based on my outward appearance. Reviews seem to show he does a great job with older patients, but he doesn't seem to take anyone not in outwardly visible poor health seriously.
He saved the lives of my grandmother and grandfather. I am forever in his debt.

I have been seeing Dr. Hoff for over 18 years and have found him to be very caring and thorough. Total confidence in him.
He was rude and patronizing to my daughter. He said "Young people don't have heart issues." Biased and unprofessional.

Dr Hoff has apparently sold his practice to Piedmont Hospital. I, naively thought I was going to see a cardiologist on an outpatient basis because his office wasn't in a hospital. But the bill was $2408.00 for a simple echocardiogram. It would have cost me $400.00 in my internist's office but I had a scheduling conflict. I had no idea that I would be gouged. Unless you just have money to give away, stay away. This bill had a real impact on my family.
