Dr. Robert F Love

After 45 years in Medical practice and seeing the operation of many, many offices and staffs I can highly compliment Dr. Love’s personnel for their efficiency, expertise and patience. Dr. Love is very personable and knowledgeable. He took the time to go over his diagnosis and treatment plan. He patiently answered my innumerable question. Having recently moved to this area, I feel fortunate to have found this practice.

Dr. Love talked me in to trying the new progressive lenses. His staff coached me on how to focus in the new glasses and stated that in order for the transition from single lense to progressives to be successful, I would have to leave them on for 2 weeks so my eyes could adjust and create muscle memory on where to look. I did as advised. 2 months later I am on the beach, looking at a distance, then reading a book app on my phone and journaling. So, ther were 3 different focal points. I then panicked for a moment and looked for my glasses, I couldn't find what pocket / bag I had put them in. Only to laugh at myself since they were on my face. It was then that I smiled and thought WOW my glasses felt so good I didn't even realize I was wearing them. I recommend Dr. Love and his staff as I felt they listened but also encouraged me to try something out of my comfort zone, based on their experience with success. This Dr is very arrogant, very impatient and does not hear out his patients. I went to him for my daughter's eye care. He gave us single focus lenses and my daughter complained about blurry vision when she sat in her class away from the white board. We returned to the dr and mentioned about it. He still gave the same number lenses. After trying that, we again went back and also enquired about multi focal lenses with the assistant. When Dr. Love came in, he looked irritated and didn't even let us speak. He kept on going that how we are creating problems and that does not exist. He sounded so ridiculous and I was wondering how he is still doing business. If you don't want a good and friendly doctor then definitely go to Dr. Love at lake Mary Eye Care. Another yearly exam completed and as usual Dr Love and his staff were professional and friendly. A pleasure to visit.

I went there first time. The Dr and his total staff were excellent. I was truly impressed with how they explained everything and the Dr spent as much time as needed to answer all my questions and results from all testing I had done. Never had such great service from and eye doctor. Highly recommend this practice.

Dr Love and his staff have been very friendly and helpful. Can see much better with the new contact lenses and glasses he prescribed.

Spoke with (April???) regarding scheduling an appt. She said I needed a referral. Explained my insurance doesn't require them. I called my insurance co. and it was confirmed no referral needed. I made a 2nd call and gave her the info. from my insurance co. She said if the dr. found a medical problem during the exam they couldn't file it with my insurance co., that is why the referral is needed. Once again I told her they don't require a referral. She wasn't "hearing" me. Unfortunately she cost Dr. Love a new patient. I had heard good things about him. He needs to speak to his employee. Spoke with (April???) regarding scheduling an appt. Excellent customer service love the staff and Dr Love is a really Love

Dr Love and his staff are AWESOME! I’m a fairly new patient. I first visited him in October 2020. His eye exams are very thorough and professional and I like that! The office staff is very professional and friendly. I had an emergency visit today due to my allergies and they fit me in immediately! I will be making appoints for my family as well. Beware. Dr Love and his staff would do the most from you to get more money from your insurance - dental and medical!! (I.e, unnecessary eye picture, billed to your medical insurance.). Heard the word "maximize your benefit" from staff. Stay away.

Excellent doctor

1 review 1.0 star rating 12/20/2016 My 13 yo son with ASD has been a patient of Dr. Love since he was 4 years old. He failed a vision screening at his school so I took him back to have his vision rechecked and was treated rudely by Dr. Love. He said the new glasses were inferior. I had already tried to return the new glasses but Walmart Optical said the new glasses are fine and match the script written. When I asked Dr. Love for something in writing to take to Walmart Optical he said there was nothing more he can do. When my son became irritated (verbal only), Dr. Love told us one more comment out of him and we would have to leave. When we were leaving I asked my son why he became irritated and he said "because the dr. took my glasses without asking first". The doctor happened to be standing where he could hear us and said "What did he say? You know where to go and pointed to the door" I actually thought he was going to bow up to my 13 year old son who is in a cast to kick us out of his office. my mom had her eye exam and glasses made. the glasses were not made correctly cause my mom to not be able to see. we returned to Dr Love's office and described the difficulty seeing using the new glasses. the technician recommended my mom lift her glasses to raise the lens when needing to read a label and lowering the glasses to watch tv. this solution was totally unacceptable. after more discussion, my mom''s glasses are going to be replaced with the proper lens cut to fit her needs. what a hassle. my mom had her eye exam and glasses made. the glasses were not made correctly cause my mom to not be able to see. we returned to Dr Love's office and described the difficulty seeing using the new glasses. the technician recommended my mom … More

Dr. Love provided my husband and son with excellent and friendly care at our recent visit. My younger son is 8 and was having an eye exam to look for learning related vision issues. My son tends to be uneasy about doctors visits, but Dr. Love was completely patient and explained everything in an easy to understand way. My son was able to sit on his Dad's lap for the entire exam and we were all very comfortable there. The specific issues were pinpointed and we're looking forward to the improvements we'll see with our new glasses. Thank you, Dr. Love!
