I've been going to him for years. He's a wonderful doctor that actually cares and takes time to listen to what's wrong with you. He's not just my Doctor he's my he makes you feel like you're part of his family!

My Doctor for 33yrs. He had Very Good Bedside Manners. Kept Me and My Family Healthy. So Sorry He Retired !!!!

I been seeing Dr McCord for 3 years now and he’s the best Doctor I’ve ever had, he takes his fine with each patient and he’s goes threw all you medical issues you had present and past he’s very honest and helpful and most he funny he can really cheer you up East Jefferson needs more doctors like him thanks for being a great doctor and well recommended. I’m not Dr. McCord’s patient, my mother is and has been seeing him for over 20 yrs. So with that said this review is more of an ‘what I’ve observed’ type of review. Dr. McCord is very friendly and helpful. Always late, but it seems that’s only because he does take his time with each patient, speaking and treating them. Maybe slacking off on appt times a bit might prevent the long wait times until he finally comes walking through the exam room door. To use as example, my mom’s appt would be 1:00PM but won’t actuall see him until like 2:30PM...on a good day. His staff is friendly and helpful - depending on who you speak with and what mood they’re in on that particular day. They’re just aloof in general. What I really dislike, when you call to make or schedule an appt there is months before you can get one. Oftentimes, two months. As for McCord himself, like I said he’s a great doctor. Office staff...meh. And just to let people know that as of December 2018 he has retired. The other doctor who works in the same office is taking over most of McCord’s patients. I've been going to Dr. McCord for over 20 years. He is a thoughtful physician and takes his time with his patients. Yes, he runs late and I know its just part of the deal but in the age of wham bam medicine I'm just glad to have access to someone who wants to do it the right way.

I asked about how much longer and the nasty office manager said to leave if I The nurse said that I was next and it was 30 minutes til he arrive.I only came here as United Health loner accepted at Ochsner.I would also advise unless you in your senior years and have all day to wait find another doctor.Service here is totally ridiculous.Its absurd. Dr. McCord demonstrated the height of arrogance and disrespect as a physician. If you don't mind that, he may be a great physician for you. We set an appointment with the physician for a particular time. His staff put us in the examining room and left us there for 45 minutes without a word. When we inquired about why it was taking so long, we were advised that it would take at least another 30 minutes before the physician saw us. Moreover, we were advised that Dr. McCord ALWAYS runs late, and that we should just wait. Dr. McCord then appeared in the hallway and told us that he "always runs late" and that if did not want to wait we should "just find another doctor." We considered ourselves lucky and got out while we could. That kind of disrespect for our time (his time is valuable and ours is not), and rank greed (packing the exam rooms with appointments he knows he cannot meet) is not an indicator of a good physician. If he is that self-centered and arrogant, then how caring can he really be about your problems? Dr. McCord formerly practiced with Dr. Cohn. If you can find Dr. Cohn, you are far better off with him than with Dr. McCord. Dr. McCord demonstrated the height of arrogance and disrespect as a physician.
