THIS WAS MY LAST VISIT WITH DR. PASSAVOY BECAUSE HE WAS LET GO BY LOYOLA. I CAN'T BEGIN TO TELL YOU HOW UPSET I AM WITH THIS. DR. PASSAVOY HAS BEEN MY DOCTOR FOR AT LEAST 45 YEARS. HE WAS THE BEST DOCTOR I EVER HAD AND NOW HE IS FORCED OUT OF PRACTICE. AND BECAUSE OF THIS I AM LEAVING ANYTHING AFFILIATED WITH LOYOLA AND MAC NEAL HOSPITAL. I WILL FIND ANOTHER HOSPITAL AND DOCTORS FOR MY MEDICAL NEEDS. BUT I KNOW IT WON'T BE THE SAME WITHOUT DR. PASSAVOY TO TAKE CARE OF ME. SHAME ON YOU FOR LETTING GO SUCH A WONDERFUL MAN AND DOCTOR. Great doctor! I have seen this physician since the age of 18. The reasons for his release baffles me? Instead of letting him retire, Loyola University Medical Group just terminated him which is very shameful! I will miss him dearly!

Dr Robert Passovoy has been my primary care physician for nearly 40 years. He is a model of the profession; knowledgable, friendly and personable. He has treated me for a variety of ailments and conditions, both serious and minor, and always with the same level of care and concern. Sadly, he has been released by the Trinity Health/Loyola Health System due to "budget constraints". This is a huge loss to his many patients and to the medical community in general. I saw Dr. Robert Passovoy from Loyola Medical Group in LaGrange, Illinois on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. Typically, I see Dr. Shilpa Desai who practices medicine at the same facility. On Thursday, November 21, 2019 I called Dr. Desai 's office and asked the receptionist if the doctor could call in a prescription for Permethrin (topical lotion) or Ivermectin (tablets) as it appeared to me that I had a case of lice. About two weeks prior to that, I noticed my arm was bleeding as I got out of bed that morning, but could not recall any injury that would have caused it. I thought perhaps I scratched myself while sleeping. However, the wound was large, and shaped like a "V" and there was no blood or skin under my nails. Later that week, I felt a sore spot on my scalp and it was a fairly large bloody spot. I made a mental note to pick up flea medicine for my cats, as I assumed one of them or both had somehow caught fleas, and that I got bit by a flea. The day I called Dr. Desai, I noticed two additional sore spots on my head, and when I checked it out, they were bloody and fairly large. Shortly after leaving a message for Dr. Desai, I received a call from the receptionist, and she told me that Dr. Desai refused to call in a prescription to treat the lice without a visit to her and a diagnosis. She said that Dr. Desai was booked for the day, and by that point, I was having vision difficulties, due to what I would later realize, were lice in my eyelashes, eyebrows, and my eyes. I wasn't comfortable driving 50 minutes to her office, in my condition, anyway. I called Dr. Desai's office again, and explained that I was very concerned, because I couldn't see well, and both my legs, ankles and feet were extremely swollen as well, which I noticed that day. I have severe hypertension and was more worried about the swelling than the lice. I asked the woman to please have Dr. Desai call me at home before she left for the day. By approximately 3:00 p.m. I hadn't received a call from Dr. Desai, and I called the office again. I was told Dr. Desai had left for the day. To this day, December 1, 2019, I have yet to hear back from Dr. Desai, whom I was told, would be out of the office the next day and the entire following week (on vacation). I then drove over to the Walgreens store five minutes from my residence. I saw a physician's assistant there at Advocate Medical Group, located within the Walgreens store. Although she did not see any indication of lice or scabies, she wrote a prescription for the Permethrin. My blood pressure was high, and the physician's assistant told me I had a heart murmur (systolic murmur). She told me to follow-up with my PCP within the week. Subsequently, I made the appointment with Dr. Desai's partner, Dr. Passovoy with the next week, to follow-up on the heart murmur. My lower legs, my ankles and my feet have been consistently swollen daily. I have also been extremely fatigued for the past few weeks. Dr. Passovoy promptly came into the examining room while I was still explaining all of my symptoms to Dr. Desai's assistant. He did not give me more than three minutes of his time. He prescribed Ivermectin for the lice, and walked out of the room. I thought he was coming back. Dr. Desai's assistant came back into the room and told me my visit had ended. I said, "What about the swelling and heart murmur?" She went back out to ask Dr. Passovoy about these things. She returned to the room, and said that Dr. Passovoy stated that: "He could only see me for one issue, and that I would need to wait for Dr. Desai to return from vacation." I find it odd that both Dr. Passovoy and Dr. Desai, whom I see once monthly for my hypertension, never listen to my heart, my lungs, or check my nose and ears. The last time that a doctor listened to my heart, my lungs, and checked my nose and ears, prior to my visit on November 21, 2019 with the physician's assistant, was on August 6, 2019 when I saw a pulmonologist for my lung disease. Have been with Dr Passavoy for over 30 years, will not see any other dr unless he retires!Very knowledgeable and patient friendly, he definitely knows what he's doing.????

I've been seeing Doctor Passovoy for at least 25 years. Since he was at Rush. I live in Niles and still go to Lagrange to see him.

Dr Robert Passovoy.. Is an amazing honest doctor. He is very straight forward. I have seen him for 5 yrs. At first I was put off by his honesty but now realize he only wants the best. I am a 30 yo female and always feel comfortable. He listens and understands me and I appreciate him.
