Dr Purvis provides the most thorough examination, offers easy to understand treatment options and has a gentle, warm and professional attitude. One is fortunate to be has patient and if you are not, I urge u to become one. Doing so may save your life!

Grand Strand Dermatology has a well organized front office, pleasant staff and a caring atmosphere. Dr. Robert Purvis introduced himself and spoke in a professional manner. His exam was the best I ever received from a dermatologist. He treated several items on my head and body explaining everything to me. He was extremely thorough. I can only give Dr. Purvis the highest recommendation.

I went in to see Dr Purvis with the skin cancer on my nose. He Did a decent job. However, I had Insurance at the time and I was supposed to go back to get the rest of the scar fixed that was created by removing the skin cancer. The company I worked for Closed and I lost by insurance. I explained this to the Office staff because I want to get the scar fixed as Dr Purvis promised. I owed 800 bucks at the time and I was told by the office staff that I cannot come back in until it is paid in full. I told them that I would pay monthly, but the MOODY office staff would not except a monthly installment! Therefore, now I have a disgusting scar on my face because of this place! Dr Purvis is a great doctor and treats his patients with great care. He takes care of me and my husband. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a dermatologist.

Dr. Purvis is the best doctor in Myrtle Beach! He is highly qualified and performed appropriate testing to diagnose my condition which no other doctor took the time to do. I recently had surgery and the scar is almost invisible! He called me personally to completely explain my biopsy results within two days. I highly recommend this incredible doctor.. His office is very clean and the waiting room is decorated beautifully. Great location off bypass 17 in Queen's Harbour.

Dr was good listener. His "bedside manner" was fine and he's a very nice man, but refused to remove a cyst under my cuticle which was damaging my nail, and would rather refer me to another doctor. Billing department leaves a lot to be desired. They don't understand "Bill my Supplemental Insurance". I shouldn't be charged for anything but they continue to harass me for $12.00. For this reason I won't go back. Very aggravating. P.S. I eventually removed the cyst myself. Nail growth, now perfect.

Dr. Purvis is one of the most compassionate doctors I have ever met. His nurses were very professional. I believe this nurses names were Jerrah and Amber. They were rockstars. I wish every practice was this amazing.

I now have MRSA as a result of a visit to this office...be wary!

Useless office staff. Mom is 91 and was referred to dr Glover by her dermatologist who retired. She has previously been to this office but is now considered a “new client” she has to wait 4 to 5 months to get an appointment. She has a painful growth on her leg... 4 month is too long for someone her age especially since she was a previous patient! Office person had no suggestions.... disappointing....... Thank you Dr. Robert S. Purvis for going above and beyond on the day I cute my foot and showed up at your office for help. You never made me feel as though I had thrown a kink into your busy schedule, but instead you diagnosed the issue, stitched me up, and calmed my fears all during my interruption of you busy day. You have gifted hands and an open heart. Thank you for your expertise and compassion.

Excellent surgeon---leaves almost invisible scars. Good natured and friendly.

One of the best and nicest doctors I have ever had. He is so warm and personable, which is so rare these days. He has been my doctor for 15 years.

I have been treated by other dermatologists for a terribly itchy excema condition for over three years, but it just kept getting worse. It had gotten so bad that I would scratch in my dreams and wake up with bloody sheets. Luckily, Dr. Purvis had a cancellation so I tried him. He made small changes to my self-treatment and meds and it is wonderful. No more bleeding or itching. I am so glad I found him.

Terrible experience. I went in for a routine exam and the Doctor found what she considered a suspicious mole. She asked me if a mole on my arm had changed size or shape and I responded that it had looked like that for 20+ years. Within SECONDS she got out a needle and explained that she was going to remove it. I nervously stopped her and asked her a few questions about what was going to happen and she claimed it to be shaven off and would not scar. I had no idea what to expect and the next thing I know I have a large hole in my arm the size of a dime and 1/4" deep. I took great care of my wound and 7 months later it is the same size and shape with glossy skin pitted in the hole. To top it off I received over $900 worth of bills for this nonchalant procedure. I contacted the office manager to discuss the situation. I explained the how the process needs to be explained better to the patients and allow them time to make the best decision for them. In hindsight, I would have preferred to be given the opportunity to get a second opinion or the ability to closely watch the mole. I understand that cancer is not something to mess with but my mole had not changed size or shape as long as I can remember and have visited the same office (different doctor) years prior and the exact same mole did not cause him concern. The office manager, Lisa, was unprofessional in the way she spoke and accused me of only causing issues once I received a bill. I have paid over $840 out of pocket (office, diagnostic and lab) and still owe $90. Lisa also chose to give me a life lesson regarding how it is important for me to speak up when I'm uncomfortable "whether I'm shopping at Wal-Mart or sitting in the Dr.s office.with something."
