It seems there are more and more people who are becoming "victims" of plastic surgery. What’s mind boggling to me is when surgeons (like you) perform a horrible surgery, you are allowed to turn your back and walk away like nothing happened. I’m sure you didn’t lose sleep over any botched patients! Don’t you think surgeons should have a moral responsibility and duty of care towards their patients? As a "victim" of plastic surgery myself, I did all I could to minimize the risks by choosing a "well trained, reputable and experienced, board certified surgeon". Despite this, I still got a horrendous result. When things do go wrong, patients are left high and dry with no recourse other than to grin and bear it. Cosmetic surgery gone wrong destroys you, morally, psychologically and financially. I needed to write this because I want you to know that it has been a tortuous, heart-wrenching, extremely expensive ordeal! I was suicidal, lost friends because I was so depressed and my marriage was strained. Shame on you! 5/16/2014 - removal of excess scar tissue 7/17/2014 - scar tissue removed from stomach to fill indentation 8/4/2014 - Dr. extracted bone from hip to create a bridge, LOOKED DEFORMED! Dr. Reiffel operated on me for gynecomastia. After the first surgery, the left side was larger than the right. After the second, I had a large hole on the left side of my chest. The generalist who had given me Dr. Reiffel's name winced when he saw the results. Other people have done the same on different occasions. I lived with this for years, and eventually retired to a beach community in the South of France. As my torso is often exposed swimming, gym, etc., I became conscious of people staring at my chest. I consulted with three top surgeons here. The first said that the shape was incorrect and noted the hole. Correcting the shape would leave a scar. The second proposed filling the hole with ten syringes of hyacorp. The third recommended lipostructure. I will pursue this solution. Dr. Reiffel operated on me for gynecomastia. I have been a patient of Dr.Reiffel for the past 40 years and have always had a great experience in his capable hands.He is caring, explains everything well and continues to follow up on procedures.I feel those who do not have a positive experience with him were not communicative enough or had other underlying issues. Are you kidding me with these bogus reviews? This doctor destroyed my nose resulting in eight additional nasal reconstructions! This man should be behind bars!!! He is a disgusting, unprofessional and unskilled surgeon and he has destroyed my life

I sadly have suffered like the others. I thought I was getting a highly skilled surgeon. I am now scared for life. I having a hard time getting over how many mistakes this surgeon made on me. Wish I did my homework better before choose him.

The two positive reviews must have come from the doctor's staff!! This guy has no business performing plastic surgery!! My wife was once a very beautiful woman. He destroyed her nose and stomach! This jerk extracted a hip bone and inserted it in my wife's nose; she looked deformed! He has left her unrecognizable! There is a very visible indent on her hip! She developed a major staph infection and needed an additional eight corrective surgeries! This guy also wouldn't refund her money! He should have his license revoked!! He is definitely a perfectionist and very patient His staff is great!

Amazing doctor who truly cares about you as a person (notice how I am not mentioning patient first). And as a patient he treats you with the utmost respect, provides you with detailed information, answers questions, hears your concerns, takes every step to ensure you are caring for your body before and after surgery. Dr. Reiffel is highly regarded throughout the medical community as I am also a practitioner I have been fortunate enough to have had colleagues point me in his direction. Mind you there are other 'great surgeons' out there but Dr. Reiffel's name was mentioned by more than one MD/health professional. I am fortunate enough to now know why he was so highly recommended. TALENTED amazing doctor who truly cares about how you feel and also about the work he does to make you look better (or in my case the way I looked prior to having a double mastectomy).. His nurse is also just as amazing. This doctor makes time to hear what your concerns are and he also makes sure you also understand your treatment plan. Thank you Dr. Reiffel for helping me.

Amazing doctor who truly cares about you as a person (not only as a patient) but also does superior work. He is attentive to every detail which also includes taking extra steps to ensure you are taking care of your body before and after the surgery. Apparently this doctor has an outstanding reputation for ensuring his patients are following necessary steps to make it where you go home with a hospital acquired infection. Dr. Reiffel is an outstanding, bright, personable doctor who is able to communicate well.. I was so fortunate to have been recommended this surgeon after being diagnosed with breast cancer. How fortunate I am to have been taken care of so well but to also see results immediately.

I had hand surgery which resulted in my hand being worse than prior to the surgery.

My experience with Dr. Reiffel was wonderful. I had a double mastectomy, my first surgery of any kind, a few months after my older sister passed away from breast cancer. Needless to say I was very emotional and scared through the entire process. Dr. Reiffel was very patient and explained everything in such a calm understandable way. Nurse Kathy was amazing as well and they make a great team! Dr. Reiffel even came in the Saturday after thanksgiving to take my drains out.

Dr. Reiffel is a perfectionist and very patient. He staff is great! I would give him 6 if I could.

Excellent surgeon; Dr. Reiffel explains diagnosis and procedures and thoroughly answers all questions. Office staff is professional and friendly.

In addition to being a superb surgeon, Dr Reiffel is also a great listener and submits his professional opinion and recommendations with clarity and candor. The neck lift that he performed has exceeded my expectations and has totally satisfied my vision of the results I desired......

His work is exceptional. He is very experienced and proffesional. I am very happy to be his patient.

I've had a wound on my shin and have seen three other doctors. None of them had been able to get the wound to heal. Dr. Reiffel has done the impossible just not giving up. In addition he takes the time to listen, and respond, something that is extremely difficult today to find in a doctor. He and his staff are always, pleasant, warm and welcoming. What a different experience.
