Everything went good

Outstanding staff

The best. Caring, intelligent and a good man as well as a physician.

My arthritis hurts in different joints almost daily. When I go to Dr. Wood, they give me a shot in the joint that is hurting and it lasts for about 2-3 months. No pain and I can work, climb stairs, lift things and even helps arm and hand swelling. Dr. Wood really understands and knows what your going through and what to do about it.

Dr. Wood was extremely passionate and caring to me. He took the time to listen, then went over his plan of tx. With me. Then Laura came in to go over everything and was super helpful!

Dr. Wood was thorough in his explanation of my injury and what the next steps to take will be. I was very comfortable and would recommend visiting his office.

Dr. Wood was able on my first trip to him to eliminate the pain in my knee. I will be back because it is starting in the other knee. Dr. Wood speaks directly to you and listens to your concerns. That is hard to find these days.

Dr. Wood and his staff were very kind and caring. I was treated on schedule by Dr. Wood and he took time to talk to me, listen, and read through notes from other physicians concerning previous treatments for my ailment.

Very nice and professional service and staff.

Efficient friendly staff and Dr Wood is great.

I glad that dr wood could find what wrong with my past knee replacement surgery. Looking forward to have 2nd knee replacement surgery coming up May . I hope it will be last surgery ever again .. I hope everything going smooth . Highly recommended to see Dr Wood .

I suffered for 8 years with a knee replacement that wasn't right. Dr. Wood came highly recommended, so I had him do the "fix". The old knee is working much better now....I can bend it farther , and with less pain. I have arthritis all over, so I have learned to accept some pain, But Thank You Dr. Wood for doing a good job on that knee! Now we'll get started on some other things...... Dr. Wood was very thorough. He took time to answer all our questions, and we were always able to reach him or his P.A. and get a response in a very timely manner. His explanations about what to expect were very clear. His office staff were friendly and helpful. Russ Goodwin

I was sent to Dr. Wood by my previous surgeon when my hip became infected. My previous surgeon asked other surgeons who was the best revisionist. He was told Dr. Wood and off I went. Dr. Wood, Alex, Tamesha and the whole team have been with me through what has turned out to be a long and winding road. I can recommend Dr. Wood whole heartedly. He has been patient, kind, empathetic, so smart, and never gave up. He takes as much time as you need explaining things, he PARTNERS with other doctors and works as a team. His ego does not get in the way, ever. He considers all input carefully and is willing to work outside of the standard box. While knowing it was breaking my heart, he explained that he could not in good conscience give me the final hip when there was even a hint of infection. It was the right thing, I was just surprised and needed a minute to feel grateful again. He is slow, methodical, and careful, run/crawl/wheel to see him, I am confident you too will be grateful.

I have watched Dr. Wood treat my wife's hip infection for two long years. I knew from experience he was the only surgeon I wanted to replace my (other) knee. I was headed into the OR at 8:45 and in the car heading home at noon! I had such a better recovery and rehab than the first knee it is almost hard to believe. I had surgery on Tuesday and was at 90 degrees by my first PT appointment Friday. Everyone in the office is wonderful, we love the whole team.

Excellent. He did a total ankle replacement on my right ankle in 2001 in Lynn, MA and gave me 20+ years of a healthy and useful life with a very successful surgery.

Communications with the Dr and PA were problematic for me. They can seem harsh and insensitive. IMO, rough handling and a disregard for my pain in exams and re pain meds caused my mood and recovery results to plummet. Negative comments re my PT were very demoralizing as I worked as hard as I could.

On Dec. 1, 2010 when I was 52, after 26 years of running including several marathons, Dr. Robert Wood replaced my left hip. I’m a biomedical engineer. I selected the hip joint I wanted to use and then found the surgeon that knew more about them then anyone. I used a Smith & Nephew Birmingham Hip Resurfacing System. If you don’t know about this type of hip joint replacement option read up on it. On St Patty’s Day 2011, just 4.5 mo after surgery I was skiing the Spring-bumps at Sunday River like a mad-man with no problem. I’m not thinking Dr. Wood appreciated that but it’s the truth. The hip is perfect to this day. Dr. Wood was terrific. I’d use him again if I ever needed any more joint replacements. PS: Beyond being a great surgeon his best advise was to quit running. Even downhill skiing doesn't damage you like running. I still hike, distance bike, play a little tennis, golf and ski. Not bad!

Dr. Wood is a master at what he does and I consider myself especially fortunate to have had him as my orthopedic surgeon. He is skilled, compassionate, optimistic, patient and willing to think outside the box. He recently performed my bilateral anterior total hip replacements with superior results. I cannot say enough about this man and am very sorry to see him relocating to Georgia. But I know this; the quality of orthopedic surgery in GA has just grown in leaps and bounds. Broke my ankle in 3 places, a trimalleolareal fracture, one of the worst fractures to have.Dr Wood did the surgery which included a lot of hardware & also surgery 2 yrs later to remove hardware,was still experiencing pain, discomfort, stiffness.Will need another 6 months to see how it goes.He is the best Dr. I ever had. Took time to explain things, was always kind & caring, a genuine person as well as a great Dr. Sadly, he is leaving the practice today, moving to Georgia.I will miss him greatly.

Dr Wood's attitude and demeanor appears to be one of concern and positive Guidance. However over the period of 9 years his true colors show of greed and evil, I would not refer anyone to him.
