A single day has not gone by in the passed 3 years that I didn’t regret getting a tummy tuck from Dr. Young! My first one with a different surgeon was perfect! My stomach from day one has never been flat ! I went back and was told I had to pay an additional 1700 dollars for lipo! Seriously I weighed in at 107 ! My stomach still looks odd ! I highly do not recommend you getting a tummy tuck here. He absolutely ruined my experience. My tummy tuck line is too high and my belly button is horrendous. I have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. Save your money and go somewhere else. They sent me my before and after photos and the after photos were edited to look good. The staff is okay. Please save your money I definitely regret coming here. I highly do not recommend you getting a tummy tuck here. He absolutely ruined my experience. Dr. Young replaced my fears and anxiety with excitement and joy! So happy with the final result of my abdominoplasty and breast augmentation. Dr. Young and his staff went above and beyond, can’t thank them enough!!

I do not recommend getting a breast lift and implant here.

Gave only a 1 star because zero stars is not an option. I am sure the Dr is a nice man, however we have had 2 instances now with there office, specifically Karen, that has been unsatisfactory. First time when my wife had an procedure Karen said if we paid in actual cash she would charge us $1000 less. This seemed odd at the time, but to save money we paid in actual cash, then Karen turned around and sent us a bill for $1000, would not return our phone calls, and tried to send us to collections. When my wife reminded her that Karen had offered a discount for green cash and asked to speak witht he doctor all of sudden it was all forgiven and everything was fine. Next a few years later, why my wife went back I have no idea, my wife took out teenage daughter in for a consultation, when setting the appointment my wife was told consults were free, low and behold after the appointment they sent us a bill. When my wife reached out both on the phone and through email Karen did not respond, I myself have left messages for her as well. No response, but now they have submitted my wife to collections. Very very very poor office management and somethign fishy that they request you pay in green cash....might be something the IRS would be interested in? No one likes going to the doctor because you have cancer. However, Dr. Young and his staff are so kind and caring. I highly recommend them.

I was suppose to get fat injections on my cheek bone, but the fat was injected into my already fat cheeks. I've looked hideous every since. I didn't see the doctor before or after the surgery, not even for my follow-up, as I was seen by his assistant.

Doctor Young did amazing work on me! After my weight loss I needed a lot done to feel good about my body. Extra skin, sagging breasts, and tummy and leg lift. It was done in stages because he didn’t want too much trauma and better recovery for the results. I would say that he shows real concern about my feelings and he is also a great teacher! I have learned so much about the process and he was the first doctor to be recommended by other doctors. His only downfall is he likes the Bengals!

I spoke with a nurse to discuss a date that was available for surgery. To my understanding the date was available and I accept. It was getting close to the date and I realize I didn’t get a call from the center. Do I reach out to them the nurse told me we only discuss the date and she did not set the appointment. So i told her that was incorrect. So, she told me the date is no longer available. So i said what date do you have? She inform me that she would find out. However it’s been three weeks. If I could rate them 0, I would. His staff is not only rude and misleading but fraudulent as well. Came in for a FREE CONSULT. They told me the consult was free. I received an office visit bill and called to ask what it was for. They said for the consult. i told them, I was informed it was a free consultation and asked why was I charged. She said I owed for an office visit. I told her it was supposed to be a free consultation and she called me a liar. I asked her to have Dr. young call me, she said no and HUNG UP ON ME. They are now reporting to my credit for a consult that was supposed to be free. CONSUMERS BEWARE THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF. Her name is Karen My Best friend had surgery here before and she said that she had the same issue with the front Desk. This is her 2nd time that she is getting surgery here and what I went through today I'm not planning on conducting any business with this facility. Dr. Young and his staff were very friendly. Dr. Young was very compassionate and truly concerned about my issues. I’m am 100% satisfied that I chose him to be my surgeon!! I would highly recommend Dr. Young to anyone!

Have had several procedures done by Dr. Young - so very pleased with the results. Staff is friendly, efficient and very accommodating to my needs. Will be visiting the office later this month for another procedure. I highly recommend this office to anyone who is looking to improve their appearance and self image.

I am delighted to see this opportunity to provide a review for Doc "Hot Rod"as I have heard him jokingly referred to, and can say it because I have been seeing Dr Rodney Young for almost 20 years for various reasons. He has performed both cosmetic and medical procedures, ALL with compassion, understanding, patience and above all - great skill. He has a fantastic sense of irony dry humour and he has never made me feel that my body "issues" are petty or that the reasons for requesting help could be simple vanity or self-induced problems (like knowing I should lose weight). He has refused to do some things I've asked for because he feels the procedures are not medically sound, or way back when - legal! (I wanted semi-permanent makeup long before tattooing became an every day matter, now performed by aestheticians, not doctors. Several of my friends were so impressed by the his work (and prices) that one even flew from CA to have her breasts lifted and eyes de-hooded and another had her nose shortened, ALL perfectly. (Although the nose gal was a chronic complainer, she did end up with a cute schnoz and is now happy.) I now live in the UK but have gone back to Charleston at least 3 times in the last 8 years SPECIFICALLY TO BE TREATED BY DR YOUNG. Karen, his office manager is magnificent and has never made me feel like my multiple requests for costs and information are frivolous, and Jenny, his long-term, recently retired nurse was almost a friend. She was also wonderful and so patient with me when I woke up! I don't recall the anesthetists names, but I have never had even a slight issue with his care. I am SO appreciative of the help I have been given that I am now saving up for my next major procedure and I phoned just 3 days ago to make sure that Dr Young is not planning to retire before I can get it done!!!He looks just about as young as the first time I met him. I see negative reviews about a front desk employee who was perhaps not the right person for the job and being charged for a consult unfairly. I can only imagine that these were anomalies and medical staff are not to be judged by a wrong-footed administrator. I am also certain this has been resolved and I know that this Practice consistent quality and care. I would be more than happy for Karen to give my contact details, should anyone be in doubt or is looking for reassurance. I am NOT a plastic surgery junkie, but starting at about age 45 until now, I have had high end facials, liposuction in at least 7 areas from my chin to my knees, two mid-face lifts, Botox, laser re-surfacing, multiple non-malignant (yes, he sent them for analysis) lipomas (fatty tumours) and moles removed, eye-lid surgery. Doc even sewed up my torn ear (result of heavy earrings). Dr. Young is awesome! He has done two procedures for me, both under different circumstances. Both were really good experiences. His nurse Sarah is incredible, my bulldog, she gets what you need and takes the time explain until you understand. The anesthesiology was the nicest man ever. I paid for a procedure that was not done cause he said he couldn’t get enough fat also was lied to about insurance covering a procedure said it was denied when they only needed more info to cover it, I caught a bad staff infection from it, then lied and said they would file it and never did said it was to late after it was done. Then I was told that if I grew more fat he would redo what I originally paid for but when I went back they wanted to charge me again they are uncaring as well

I had such a horrible experience with the front desk/ receptionist. I asked for an estimate and she told me there was no way that they could give me a price on a procedure. After asking how I could go about getting more information she told me she had no idea, it was up to me. This was after several calls and unanswered messages, and every time I spoke with her she got my name wrong. I will not go to him based on this experience with this rude, demeaning woman.
