Working as a DENTAL HYGIENIST 20 + years , I have seen the work done by the majority of periodontists in this area. Needless to say when I needed an implant I chose Dr. Karp simply because he is the best in his specialty. He also has a very nice helpful staff that surrounds him. My implant turned out perfect!

I took my sister to Dr. Karp when she got a gum graft surgery here and this place turned into a nightmare experience. Her one tooth that was discussed in their first appointment, didn’t go as planned. She woke up alone in the room, covered in blood and stitches on several teeth! He left her all alone in the room, no staff was there to assist her! How do you call yourself a professional? He walked out and disappeared. She was in the car crying and said how unbelievable nobody was there by her side. We tried calling the office NUMEROUS times and no answer! She went to her dentist and he didn’t want to touch the stitches, not understanding what happened. Dr. Karp also didn’t take before and after pictures, like he did with other patients. The day of her follow up appointment, their power went out in the medical building. How ironic…..Then when she finally went back to get the stitches out, he had some nerve to blame her saying since she didn’t want to use cadaver tissue, that’s “the result” she has to live with. I called in on a Saturday with an emergency and was informed that the office was closed until Monday. Much to my surprise Dr. Karp answered and made arrangements to meet with me on his day off. This type of care is almost unheard of these day. I am forever grateful... thanks Dr. Karp... Tommy

I have been going to Dr. Karp for over 10 years. I had a routine appointment yesterday and was a little nervous about going to the dentist during Covid 19, I felt very comfortable there with all the safeguards that were in place they were following all recommended guidelines and more, as I knew they would. I've been working with Roger and his team for over 30 years. First they helped me get on track with a gum issue I was having. This saved all my teeth and now I just go for maintenance cleanings. He and his team are top notch. Just go straight to the best!

In foolish childhood horseplay I broke off a front tooth. The result was devastating. While I tried to hide it, even a favorite teacher once called me “toothless”. Years later in the Air Force I finally received a crown. In my 70's, the broken tooth finally cracked off beyond repair. All my childhood embarrassment returned in full force. I have been a patient of Dr. Karp’s for nearly 20 years. I LOVE this practice!! I’ve had many procedures done over the years, and I have to say that I’ve never had a problem or issue with any treatment. Of course a little bit of discomfort, which is par for the course, but nothing horrendous. Dr. Karp is extrememly friendly, comforting, and kind. His staff is also very kind. Always enjoy chatting with them! I will continue to be a patient until he retires. He is simply the BEST!!

Kind, gentle periodontist who I’ve had the pleasure of being introduced to by my dentist. Implant #4 - each one went without a hitch. As someone who is not fond of dental appts and oral surgeries, I have walked away each time with a calmness that I surprise myself with. Thanks Doc!

I was referred to Dr. Karp by my dentist and could not be more pleased. Dr. Karp explained the process, what could be expected for the extraction and implant (#19) and concisely answered my question. He made me feel at ease and comfortable throughout the entire process. The staff was well coordinated, friendly and pleasantly greeted me upon my arrival and even commented on an unrelated discussion we had on my previous visit 3 months earlier. I would definitely recommend to family & friends!

Very excellent technically, but has punishing cancellation policy. Instead of the normal 24 hour cancellation policy for around $50, Dr Karps's office has a 48 hour (unposted) cancellation policy and chages a $300 rescheduling fee as punishment. I left a message on Wednesday and Friday morning was informed that since their office is closed on Wednesday, that did not count as a cancellation for Friday. On Friday afternoon at 2:15 they were closed again, although their recording says 3PM.

This office has such a high degree of stress and general tension.Staff seems frustrated& Dr. Karp does not seem to be able to keep a hygienist more than a year.It makes me question his ethics and the cleanliness of his practice, since the dental hygienist works so closely with the care of the periodontal patient and doctor.He had had a hygienist for many years that was excellent; one has to wonder why she left? After 12 years with this office I have left for an office with a renowned reputation.
