Larry & Myself have been patients of Dr. Mathew for 17 years! He has more than once saved Larry's life with his knowledge & referrals. He is the best, most caring Doctor! Never had problems with any of the staff, always nice to us! I worked in insurance for 35 years & it is not easy dealing with patients & insurance. Show Kindness.

Dropped my wife who just started going there for missing three appointments which she just started going there so how does that make sense and won't tell her what supposed days she missed. Only thing they would tell her is oh we called you when she has no missed calls or voicemails.

We drove 2 hours to get to an appointment scheduled with Dr. Assefa. When my husband called to schedule the appointment he and I wrote down the time it was scheduled. When we got to the office the staff member rudely said we were an hour late. I opened my calendar to see we were their 15 minutes before our scheduled appointment. The staff told us otherwise and said we would need to reschedule the appointment. My husband has been under Dr. Assefa care for two heart attacks and five stents. He is an outstanding doctor. I recently went to Dr. Mathews office to set up a appointment and I was refused service. Dr. Mathews has been my cardiologist for the past 10 + years with the exception of 3 years now. I was told that I can't make a appointment until I satisfy a outstanding balance. I set up a payment plan and I was still refuses medical service by the billing department. I need some help with this issue because I have to have cardiac clearance before I can have a procedure done. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

After posting a bad review about Advanced Cardiology and the TERRIBLE staff there, they sent me a this letter saying he can no longer be my cardiologist. There are SEVERAL bad reviews on Google about the staff.

DENIED SERVICE AFTER THIS REVIEW. The doctor's are great but good luck getting much help or a timely response on a phone call. After calling all day with no response I finally drove to the office for work release papers. The receptionist laughed when seeing I was irritated then told me they faxed them. Now I'm at work being told I can't work because nothing was sent releasing me. ???? And after posting this review they have decided that he can no longer treat me as my cardiologist. I followed Dr. Asefa from Owensboro health. He’s a wonderful doctor and have been blessed to be under his care. As for Owensboro Cardiology they have the rudest staff I have ever encountered. This included scheduling to nursing.short and condescending is typical for this staff. I experienced this and have friends and family who have had similar experiences. I suggest some much needed customer service training for this staff. They need it desperately. I followed Dr. Asefa from Owensboro health. I accompanied a family member to Dr. Mathew's office today. We saw Dr. Anjali Cunningham, APRN, for the first time. She was very professional, personable, and knowledgeable. She explained test results extremely well. We did not feel rushed. I highly recommend her services!

My husband saw Dr Mathew today for the first time and he was amazing. He took the time to answer any questions we had. I’m definitely glad that he chose to start seeing him.

I would give this place no stars but I couldn't.. The staff are the rudest people. The girl at the front desk fussed at my daughter 3 times about her mask BUT took her own off. UNDER HER CHIN! He is a very good Doctor but he cancel a lot

Can't praise Dr Mathew and his staff enough !! So grateful for them all !

My fiancé has been hospitalized twice in the past month. We didn’t get any answers the 1st hospital stay. During our 5 days, Dr Matthews was in 1 time for about 2 minutes explaining nothing. His practitioners were the ones that stopped in the other days with the same rushed in & out with no explanation. My fiancé should’ve been sent home on lasix & wasn’t. Problems developed quickly once he got home & we ended up back in the hospital less than a month later. This visit could’ve been 100% avoided had they paid closer attention. The bad thing is that when you call the office & try to get an appt or communicate concerns with the nurse, you get blown off & put off. This second stay has been an eye opener. We have a different cardiologist on call & things are going smoother. He has taken the time to explain about fluid restriction & sodium which nobody at Dr Matthews has done. I’m just not impressed. The 2nd hospital stay could’ve been avoided & the 1st stay shorter if they communicated!

Dr. Mathew is a fine gentleman with an engaging personality in addition to being a top notch cardiologist. Wish he could treat me for everything else because he's the best physician in town.

Dr. Mathew is the very best heart doctor we have ever had he is a good Christian man and cares about his patients just like there his family me a my father have been seeing him for several years and we both care very much for and his staff also want to say we are praying for him to get well.

Not only is Dr. Mathew the very best cardiologist in Owensboro, Kentucky, he truly cares about his patient's wellbeing. His expertise and compassion has earned him great respect in my book. If you are in need of an awesome heart doctor, look no further.

Dr Mathew is struggling to find the cause of my heart problems but certainly not due to lack of trying. Patient and caring. Coincidentally, he also came on duty at the hospital the second day of my admission for three blood clots in my lungs. The type and level of care between him and the previous doctor was night and day. Very thankful for him and highly recommend him as well as his in-office practicioner Richard Sanchez. While I'm on a roll, I've typically been pleased with the majority of his office staff and nurses as well. Met Dr. Mathew for the first time, after having multiple doctors resign. From the moment I entered the office, I felt the compassion, and warmth of people who truly care. Glad I found him to be my doctor.

He is awesome and he will answer all your questions and tell you everything you need know been seeing him for over 7years he is a great man all of his staff is great they make comfortable and they are some the nicest people you could meet

I've been bounced from cardiologist to cardiologist due to the local hospital turning then over. I keep being told this is the man I want, but when I called I was told I couldn't schedule due to a previous cancellation. Would like to make him my forever cardiologist just seem to be blocked for a previous mistake.

Very personal Cardiologist and the best in town.

Long time dr for my elderly mother since stroke 11yrs ago. Awesome, caring, knowledgeable man. Continues to treat mom with respect, remembers and speaks to her when we visit, shows real interest and concern for her. Always makes time to answers Q's and clearly communicates any treatment options.

I was a patient of Dr. Mathews in New York, also my husband,mother and father this an amazing Cardiologist he is warm and caring wonderful bed side manner!!! He is on the top of his game!!! We are moving to Kentucky, I will live an hour away from Owensboro but Dr. Mathews will be our Cardiologist and also will recommend all other physicians we need!!! I trust him with not just my heart but my whole families well being in all aspects of medicine and more!!!!

Rude. Was hear visiting my mother-in-law and she went for a procedure then he came in the room. My wife asked if he could answer a question and he threw his hands up in the air and said No! I have not seen her this morning and I can not answer anything. I may, and he was emphatic, may come back this afternoon. Then he left the room. So RUDE!! Terrible. My wife is a Nurse and see and works with arrogant doctors. This Dr is so arrogant AND thinks he is better than anyone else.
