I am a 26 year old female, and Dr. Gore treated me after my car accident for about a year. I was having every concussion symptom in the book (nausea, dizziness, memory loss, balance/vestibular issues, insomnia, anxiety etc.) all while I was finishing up Physical Therapy school and studying for boards. I was in a pretty dark place for that time (even crying once or twice in the office), and Dr. Gore took the time to actually sit down and talk to me about details of my life. It was incredible - I had to be the one to end the conversation most times! He is good at explaining why he is referring out (e.g. sleep medicine, vestibular physical therapy...) and why he is prescribing a certain medication, so that you're not in the dark. He's a great doctor and an even better person, which sometimes matters just as much. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Russell Gore has been an amazing physician and care giver to our family this past year. He diagonsed my Mother's illness and got her on the road to recovery when no other doctors could figure out the root of her illness. He is caring, kind and compassionate and we will forever be thankful for having been referred to him.

Demeaning to women. Asks if you were abused as a child and tells women with a head injury, that it is 'in their heads' and they just need depression medication. That they have made of their symptoms. Met women in physical therapy that confirmed he did the same thing to them. Also found out he was taught this line of questioning from a doctor he trained with at Emory. An Emory PT graduate confirmed that yes his mentor was notorious for being demeaning to women. Horrific doctor to be affiliated with such an excellent center. Shepherd's needs to launch a deep investigation into how he conducts himself in appointments and the questions he asks female versus male patients.
