Ryan Matthew Flanigan

Just left my first visit for a broken 5th metatarsal on my left foot. I have never broken a bone and was very nervous about my visit. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and my appt. was started on time with no waiting. As for Dr. Flanigan, I cannot say enough good about him. Kind, compassionate, obviously very caring and also thorough. He didn't judge or berate me for being a smoker but after I mentioned quitting to help my injury heal, he looked at me and asked, "would you like help?" He wrote me an Rx for patches but also gave me other options. I felt like it was a true collaboration between patient and provider - he gave me options and the confidance that whatever choice i made, would be the right one for me in the end. I am honestly looking forward to my follow up visit and left feeling MUCH better about my first broken bone. Big ups to everyone there for their positivity, this gal much appreciated it. What ever you do don’t see Dr Flanigan

Worst mistake I ever made was to allow him to perform a lapiplasty on me. My foot is discolored and I am in pain daily. My foot swells all the time. Told me things and then denied telling me. I limp now because of the pain. I have muscle spasms in my toes and the pain is now going up my leg. My foot feels cold at times, it's deformed and I'm afraid I may lose my foot! Stay away from him. Did a great job helping me after a bad ankle fracture. He and his PA Carly treat people great and know what they are doing! His office staff is also great. Best in Westmoreland County!

Doctor Flanagan and Doctor Carly are awesome surgeons. I ruptured my right archilles 2 years ago after dealing with a lot of pain in that foot for 3 years. They did such a good job that when I started having similar pain in my left foot I immediately went to them to fix that side as well. Very good bed side manners, did an excellent job, and I think I healed well from their work. They explained things well and followed up to ensure that everything went well. They are also very understanding and professional people not to mention friendly. Highly recommended.

My daughter broke her ankle and had surgery by Dr Flanigan. He was very personable and answered all of our questions. Didnt rush through anything. Her surgery was a success and she progressing well! Highly recommend him.

I broke my ankle, as many do, slipping on ice this past winter (2018). Unfortunately, it required surgery to set it. I was very lucky to have Dr. Flanigan as my surgeon. He's very personable, spends time with his patients, and I had a good outcome. Also, his medical assistant helped me with my concerns with empathy and grace speaking in language that I could understand as a non-medical professional.

Saw him after seeing multiple other doctors who just wanted to do surgery. He listened and figure out what was hurting me, we made a plan to improve it and it improved! Avoided surgery because he spent some time with me. Very trustworthy.

Skilled surgeon who explained everything to me. Sometimes ran late but always took time to ask how I was doing and explain what our next steps were and why. I have send family and friends to him and they all like him!

Very thorough, explained things well. I felt very comfortable with him and he didn't recommend surgery right away - we tried lots of other things first before resorting to surgery. Highly recommended. Has a great staff.

took my daughter to see him for her heel pain. he is very good with kids. she liked him a lot and he explained everything to me and her. sometimes had to wait a little in the office, but he always seems to have lots of patients so must be doing something right

fixed my foot, helped me when no one else would. great doctor.

Very disappointed. He can't read MRI's well. He acts like he knows everything, but doesn't.

Dr. Flanigan treated me for a bad ankle fracture. He got me on his schedule quickly, saw me and explained what the injury was and what his recommendation was. I had surgery a week later and am now back walking on my leg, working with physical therapy and on my way to getting back to full strength. He explained everything, his staff has been great and I feel that I'm going to make a great recovery because of his expertise.

I am updating my previous review. Yes he saw my daughter immediately when no other doctor would, but...it took him 6 weeks to diagnose a break. Another 4 weeks in a cast, 4 weeks in a boot, which she didn't need, and here we are at another 6 weeks in PT that is actually hurting her knees and not helping her ankle. He will not release her to even do upper body conditioning which has nothing to do with her ankle and only setting her back longer at a sport she loves and he abhors.

I had compartment syndrome he was at Latrobe hospital by chance that morning. He saved my arm and my life because my kidneys were taking on the toxins of the dying tissue. He did emergency surgery and two more while I was in the hospital 9 months later I have to say my fingers and grip are at 95% or better. I don't think the dr's didn't Expected me to use it again. I am greatful and would like to thank dr Flannagan for the best job ever. Thank you Dr Flannagan. Lisa.

I waited two weeks for an appt and one hour in his office. I had to leave after one hour for another appt in the same building. I came back in a half hour but dr flanigan couldn't see me and the next available appointment is two weeks out. That is an unreasonable wait time for me and I'll be going elsewhere.

dr flanigan treated me for a broken leg. put unnessary hardware in my leg. missed a ruptured tendon in foot. BEWARE OF DR FLANIGAN AND LATROBE HOSPITAL!

He's a very likable person who not only knows a lot about orthopedic surgery but he also loves it with a passion. I highly recommend him
