Dr. Sanda M. Moldovan

The worst and the most unethical dentist I ever worked with : 1. She misled m into having a Biolase laser for bone loss . She claimed both verbally and in writing that Biolase was FDA approved for bone regeneration but It was a LIE! I lost my tooth due to the useless laser surgery . My tooth could have been saved if I used conventional bone graft surgery. According to the top rated Harvard , UCLA and USC periodontists I have interviewed and Biolase company that no laser was ever FDA approved for bone regeneration and Biolase laser could not replace conventional bone graft surgery. I was missed into doing a laser surgery that was useless for bone loss. 2. She claimed to be a holistic dentist and promoted Zicornia dental implants but she herself chose titanium implants for herself . What a hypocrite! 3. Her fees were outrageous compared to the other top rated authentic specialists ! 4. She exaggerated the condition of my teeth and recommended treatments that were not necessary . After consultation with top Harvard trained periodontists and top rated UCLA prosthodontics , all the so called cavities in her treatment plan for me were not cavities but stains on the tooth structure The following is the reponse to Dr.Moldovan's reply: Dr. Moldovan should not exuse her misrepresentation and her libilities by saying it might be the after care that caused the failure the laser sugery. Accoridng to multiple Written Verification from BIOLASE COMPANY THAT CONTRARY TO DR. MOLDOVAN'S STATEMENT BIOLASE WAS "NEVER" FDA APPROVED FOR BONE REGENERATION. I WOULD NOT HAVE CHOSEN TO UNDERGO A LASER SURGERY THAHT WAS NOT APPROVED FOR BONE REGENERATION, INSTEAD I WOULD HAVE CHOSEn TO DO CONVENTIONAL BONE GRAFT AS I HAD DONE BEFORE WAS MILSED INTO USING A USLESS LASER SURGERY BECASUE OF THE MISREPRESENTIATION AND FORM DR. MOLDOVAN. IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH AFTERCARE. I have been very diligent with my oral care . BIOLASE surgery was useless and it could not replace conventional bone graft.( according to all the top rated specialists I My grievance has been submmitte to the dental board for investigaiton!

I have known Dr. Sanda Moldovan for 15 years now. I love her holistic approach to dental health and dental esthetics. She is the only dentist I trust, as I suffered a dental injury in childhood. She is the one to nurse me back to dental health. She has the lightest touch administering an anesthetic, gum surgery, or implant surgery I have experienced so far.

Dr Moldovan and her Staff are Very Special, Friendly and Skilled.

I am an Internist and a Functional MD who is a patient of Dr Moldovan. I had 2 ceramic implants placed by her team and I can not be happier with the level of technical ability, customer service and precision. She has been through in her clinical work with me and the final result looks great. As a holistic practitioner myself it was important to find someone who was aware of these principles and not going to implant metal or give me unnecessary antibiotics. I can not recommend her enough and will be referring my patients to her who are looking for a through, precise and kind holistic dentist. I can't express how much I am grateful for the care I've had under Dr. Moldavan. My lower jaw was in poor condition from an old infection in 2002 and the implants already in place were not in any condition to restore. Over the few years I've been with Dr. Moldavan, my oral health has improved dramatically enabling her to replace (and improve) the implants and restore them with a perfect smile I am proud of. I admit I was always self-conscious and insecure when smiling, laughing or eating with the condition of my mouth prior to her care. With a perfectionist mindset, she has adjusted my bite so it feels natural and functions beautifully when eating. I can't stop smiling! The transformation has been incredible. Dr. Moldovan's staff is also comprised of the most professional and caring people I have ever met. They have truly gone the extra mile to accommodate my needs throughout this process. I can't begin to describe how much Dr. Sanda and her amazing talents, have meant to me. I was involved in an unfortunate accident just over 1.5 years ago, and lost/broke several of my front teeth. My smile line was completely destroyed. I met with several specialists during the weeks following my accident, but was not impressed with what they were providing me as to my forward path(s), nor their ultimate outcome projection(s) for my teeth. On the back of those discussions, I was so disappointed and ended up very depressed. Thankfully, my parents networked with their friends on the West Coast, and several of them recommended that I visit with Dr. Sanda, as they had very positive experiences either directly with her, or via relatives/friends. Today, after just over a year of tenacious reconstruction and incredible cosmetic dentistry, I am so very grateful to Dr. Sanda and her amazing team for giving me back my smile! I had a very unsanitary experience here. The only positive thing I have to say is that I noticed a difference after getting ozone treatment. I ended up purchasing my own ozone generator on amazon and now I use it to self treat. It is miraculous.

I had my teeth cleaned at Beverly Hills Dental Health & it was the best cleaning I had ever had. They were professional, used ozone and other treatments I wasn’t even aware were available. Now I only have all my teeth cleanings done at Dr. Sanda’s office! Great team of staff too!

We have referred clients to Sanda and they rave about their personalized experience she offers. She goes the extra mile with her clients and colleagues. For example, we recently referred a client of ours who was in pain and needed an emergency root canal to Sanda's office; however, the endodontist was not available for 2 weeks so we texted Sanda for a referral and within minutes she called us and requested the patient call her even though it was after 9pm. Ten minutes later my client called me to express her gratitude after talking to Dr Sanda about the different holistic treatment options she could offer to calm the nerve pain. Excellent care. I have had several gum surgeries and implants and she is truly a gifted surgeon. My results have been outstanding. She keeps abreast of technology and all the members of her team are reliable and compassionate when treating their patients and each other.

Excellent dental care. I come mainly for teeth cleaning by SANDRA. She is EXCELLENT. I have been to a number of dental hygienists in my life. Some barely tickle your teeth. You can feel that she is very experienced and gentle. She gets into every crevice and around each and every tooth. I did have one major procedure here. I was very nervous and they use every trick in the book to relax me completely. The group has the most modern equipment. I was able to calm down and relax. Dr. Kanter is talented. Other doctors would have just pulled the tooth; it was a root canal tooth and there was an infection. She went in cleaned it out, saved the tooth and discovered that I had 4 roots, not 3! I have to tell the full story-- Before arriving at Dr. Sanda Moldovan's office I had been to at least three dentists and two endodontists. Reason being, after my original dentist placed a crown on a fractured molar, I started having the weirdest symptoms-- food (wheat, eggs) allergies and chemical sensitivities which I've never had any kind of allergies, Then I had strange aversions to certain metals - mixed metals, nickel. I went back to my dentist -- forget it. No help. So off I went seeking all kinds of answers from my primary doctor (no help), second and third opinions from other dentists and oral surgeons who did digital X-rays that showed nothing. A couple of the dentists even tried to convince me that I needed a root canal, but I felt like something else was amidst. Finally I found a holistic doctor who recommend, periodontist, Dr. Moldovan and I truly thank God he did. For nearly two years, I'd been through hell. By becoming hyper-sensitive to chemicals, metals and allergies, I honestly had to coach myself out of thinking my health was in grave trouble and to stay positive. Well, Dr. Moldovan was a godsend and did exactly what I hoped. She did a CT Scan of my entire jaw and found an infection that had been brewing for years! Basically I had a low grade infection (proven by my holistic doc) that was finally effecting my whole system, which, I had suspected was stemming from my teeth all along, especially after all my own research. Longer story short, Dr. Moldovan set a course of action, and it's been two and a half weeks since surgery and I am seriously and miraculously on the mend! It's too early to tell if all my allergies will clear up but I feel like the toxic load has been lifted and my body is getting back to good healthy again. One thing that did happen was she found a tiny piece of metal stuck in my gum where a molar had been extracted! Oh my gosh! This could be the root of my metal issues. I have no idea. But please believe me, my experience with Dr. Sanda Moldovan and her entire staff, including Dr. Kathy Zahedi, (who is replacing my mixed metal crown with a porcelain one) was nothing short of professional and simply amazing. Everyone made me feel comfortable and not crazy for listening to my body. The office is immaculate and Dr. Moldovan is also nutritionist, a plus. My experience at this practice exceeded my expectations. I was seen shortly after checking in and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. The hygienist, Sandra, was very thorough and explained to me in detail about the airflow technique she was using, as well as how to take better care of my teeth at home. I don't know Dr Moldovan but the segment i saw on Inside Edition has given me a lot of hope. I'm a vet and a former cancer patient that went through a stem cell transplant that has destroyed my teeth and bone. I wish i could get even a few minutes to chat and pick her brain. If anyone knows her personally i would love to get in touch with her. It's been a while since i smiled and this gave me a reason. UNETHICAL-As an Integrative Medical Doctor, I was hoping to find a holistic dentist to refer to my patients. At my first appointment, after my cleaning, with no explanation, not even the decency to ask for my consent. I was given a "chiropractic" treatment then charged an extra $300 for that. I had to ask for the dentist to check my mouth after I had already been taken to the counter for payment, during which I received the most cursory exam I've ever had. Worse, no insurance coverage as told!

There are many reasons I state this a few samples are: I became very ill following surgery (I am very healthy and believe her office is unsanitary), I'm very disappointed in Dr. Moldovan's inability to return calls (especially after having paid thousands up front in full), providing incomplete inconsistent information, scheduling of unnecessary appointments, etc. I went to her at the request of another dentist which was my mistake. I strongly encourage you to seek three independent opinions before you chose your dental surgery provider. And do not be swayed by her nice office staff, what you should be concerned about is finding quality care by a concerned provider. If you’re looking for an outstanding implant surgeon I would highly recommend Dr. Sanda Moldovan. I had a consultation with Doctor Moldovan and my dentist to discuss how to replace dental work that was done many years ago and now failing. The decision was to proceed with a procedure called an All on 6 for the upper and new crowns on the lower. My dentist then completed the necessary prep work which entailed making a temporary upper denture to be used after implant surgery. Dr. Moldovan provided me with her pre and post-surgical instructions which included nutrition supplements to help with the healing process. On the day of surgery Dr. Moldovan had quite the task, the extraction of twelve teeth and the precise placement of nine implants, six of which had to line up perfectly with the six holes in the temporary upper denture. Dr. Moldovan’s surgery went great and I was pleased with the amazing results of my new smile. Post-surgery I had very little discomfort and no bruising. Within days I was able to eat most meals that I enjoyed prior to surgery. After a few post op visits with Dr. Moldovan to check on the healing of the implants, it was time for my dentist to replace the temporary upper denture with a permanent Zirconia bridge and lower crowns. I had to get crown lengthening surgery. I researched different procedures and didn't like the idea of going under the knife. That is how I found Dr. Moldovan who uses state of the art equipment like the Waterlase. I called her office, asked a bunch of questions, and really like that they were going to use laser instead of a knife and that recovery time was going to be so much less. I was in and out in under an hour, had no need for pain killers as I had no pain, and was able to get my crown with no trouble. Even my dentist was impressed with the results from the surgery as it made his job that much easier. This was by far the best experience I could have hoped for. Doctor Moldovan is one of the best periodontist I have ever encountered. I'm an entertainment journalist and travel all over the world. Recently I had a dental emergency and went to see Dr Sanda Moldovan. I was truly amazed at her professionalism and meticulous way of working. Not only does she have the best state of the art equipment available to her patients but she is also extremely well crafted and up to date with the latest dental technologies the world has to offer. Upon entering her office, I felt immediately comforted and safe with her. She is a very nurturing, warm dentist who patiently explains each and every procedure with care. I was at work and fractured my tooth. Thank God Dr. Moldovan was working that day.She extracted my tooth and put an implant in the same day. Shes amazing!!!!

I had a mouth full of issues when I came to see Dr. Sanda. She looked after my gums in a way no dental professional had ever done before. She explains everything she is doing in easy, every day terms. I have friends who have to go back over and over for one thing or another that's gone wrong with their dental implants or when they have their teeth pulled. I never have to worry about that with Dr. Sanda. I can leave her office--confident every single procedure has been done with the greatest precision. possible and I'm not going to have to go back to have her 'fix' her work. I have unfortunately had quite a few experiences with other periodontists prior to coming to Dr. Moldovan that resulted in a lot of pain and long time suffering. I had failed implants, jaw bone loss damage and infections due to uncaring and mediocre practitioners. And then, I was lucky to find Dr. Moldovan. What a fantastic doctor! Her expertise and attention to patient is unparalleled. The treatment I received includes replacing a failed implant, three new implants in one sitting and a couple of painless but complicated extractions. To my pleasant surprise, after my visits with Dr. Moldovan I never experienced pain, I never had any swelling or the complications I was afraid of. For that she has my unwavering gratitude.
